Prasanna, who has wowed Tamil audiences with sterling performances in several critically acclaimed Tamil superhits, said that his role in his next project, an upcoming web series called ‘Mad Company’ is his second most favourite ever and that he actually felt bad when the shooting of the web series came to an end.
Prasanna said: “I play a man named Ak in the web series. He is a very complex person. He is an actor who is highly skilled. He is also straightforward to the point of coming across as arrogant. He is someone who has dumped the film industry to start his own firm that enables actors to act in real life.”
“Ak is a role that has become very dear to me. In fact, I loved working on this so much that I felt bad when shooting of this series came to an end. It is only the...

Chennai, Nov 8: Singer-producer S.P.B. Charan, known for producing critically acclaimed offbeat Tamil films such as "Aaranya Kaandam" and "Chennai 600028", is ready with his next project titled "Thirudan Police". He says it is also a part of his effort to make different films.
"If you look at the films that I have produced so far, you'll find that each one is different from the other. This is because I have always ensured to make different films and I intend to continue doing so. I hope this new project will make me proud too," Charan told Ians.
His last project was the National award winning gangster flick "Aaranya Kaandam". It didn't fare well at the box office.
"The film is over and I have moved on. I took a much-needed.

Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Aaranya Kaandam is not another gangster film coming from the south, it is a tour de force of cinema. With the perfect mix of style and substance, the debutant director has gone on to create an indigenous and rooted film of the neo-noir genre, which has a universal appeal.
Aaranya Kaandam won the Grand Jury award for Best Film at the South Asian International Film Festival in 2010 and garnered much critical acclaim after its worldwide release in June 2011. Kumararaja talks about the film in a telephone interview with Nandita Dutta:
Tell us about your background.
I enrolled for the Visual Communications Course in Loyola College, Chennai for my undergrad, but I dropped out halfway through. Then I worked as a freelance photographer for newspapers. Later I did a couple of ad-films. I wrote dialogues for the Tamil film Oram Po.

‘Bank heists – Hollywood filmmakers have enthralled us in the past with this unique theme. Indeed, the Bollywood has copycatted some of the best bank robbery jobs. So what? Should we be an exception? Come let’s glimpse through the list of Bank heist films and slightly make some changes for the sake of Tamil audiences’…
It looks like both filmmaker Sakthi and producer Charan should’ve complimented each other and saw some films of that sort. Particularly the film ‘Bank Job’ should’ve been their pick as most of the sequences in this film are likely inspired from it.
The film has a weak storyline and a pathetic suspense revealed in the climax….
