With his chiseled jaw and easy smile, it's no wonder Nathaniel Marston found fame as Dr. Michael McBain on One Life to Live. But his friends, family and the fans who he'd stop in the middle of New York City's bustling streets to chat with remember him more for the warm way he'd greet them: a bear hug.
About 100 mourners gathered during Marston's memorial Saturday in N.Y.C's grand Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, and those who gave eulogies all remembered how he'd envelop everyone he met in his arms.

Nathaniel Marston's One Life to Live love interest is remembering the late actor.
Marston, who died in November from complications stemming from a car accident, was buried at sea in Kauai, Hawaii, last month, where costar Kathy Brier delivered a eulogy.
On Monday, Brier posted her remembrance on her Facebook page at the request of Marston's mother Elizabeth.
"From the first moment Nathaniel and I caught each others eyes on set there was an instant connection. I felt as though I had always known him somehow, a recollection of our souls," wrote Brier, who played Marcie, the love interest of Marston's character Michael.

Kathy Brier, who played Marcie to Nathaniel Marston‘s Michael on One Life to Live, spoke at his recent burial at sea in Kauai, Hawaii. On Friday, at the behest of Marston’s mother Elizabeth Jackson, Brier posted her touching remarks on her Facebook page.
Brier wrote that she and Marston, who died in November from injuries related to a car accident, had “an instant connection. I felt as though I had always known him somehow, a recollection of our souls. We pretty much spoke in short hand from the very beginning and most times no words needed to be spoken.

Are we looking at TV ratings all wrong? Nielsen is having a hard time keeping up with the changing landscape. With each development comes new questions about how best to monetize and measure the effect a show has on the viewer -- questions that keep Matt O'Grady, the Evp of Media Audience Measurement for Nielsen, "up all night." Freddie Smith promises “opportunities for clothes to come off” on Days Of Our Lives. Glee's Chris Colfer says, "As Kurt, I get to wear all these amazing things, by people whose names I can’t even pronounce." Chuck Pratt says "The Lying Game" book was also lacking lots of hunky male characters necessary for a good teen soap. Martha Byrne gets Pretty. Kathy Brier and Chris Stack are returning to One Life To Live.

Days writer Marlene McPherson tweets about "big event"
"Wow!!! The big event is taping now! Old friends and new are all here! Get ready for big emotion, romance and fun! It's a brand new Dool!"
Patrick Muldoon tweets excitement over returning to Days Of Our Lvies set
"So great to see Ali-Christie. Kristian Alfonso just said "welcome home" I think I'm getting emotional."
Why NBC dumped its webisodes unit
NBC Universal had seemed to be on its way to cracking the code for online branded entertainment, but with its closure of NBC Universal Digital Studio, what's next for network-backed Web series?
Some in the creative community had decided that NBC Universal's Digital Studio relied too much on getting marketers to fund series ahead of time. "It really shows how the advertiser is in control of these enhanced digital content experiences," said one executive who worked with NBC Universal Digital Studio.
