As Marlin the fish once famously put it in "Finding Nemo" when confronted by an unexpected turn for the worse, "Good feelings gone."
Marvel's upcoming animated show "X-Men '97" has come with nothing but good vibes since its announcement, bringing a fresh dose of nostalgia to many a Marvel fan of my generation. I speak for most of us when I say we practically grew up on the original "X-Men" cartoon and developed a Pavlovian response to that absurdly catchy theme song, and the marketing for the revival series has certainly leaned hard into the '90s of it all. Today, however, brings a sobering bit of news on the eve of the project's debut.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, creator, producer, and writer Beau DeMayo has been abruptly fired and will no longer take part in promotion for the series or take a creative role in any future seasons.

Halfway through The Crowded Room Season 1, some things began to make sense, but it's such a shame it took until The Crowded Room Season 1 Episode 5 for this to happen.
As stated before, a limited series doesn't afford the luxury of being too mysterious in the storytelling format when every passing minute is as crucial as the next one.
While guessing what was supposed to be going on wasn't hard, no one needed that.
In The Crowded Room series premiere review, I said that some things could have been done differently, and based on what has happened so far, it shouldn't have taken five episodes to confirm what we had guessed all along.
Some people don't stand a chance, and Danny was one such person. From his first day on earth, his life seemed set to follow a certain path, and whatever he did, it wouldn't be surprising anymore after what we saw happen to him.

Apple TV’s newest thriller series, The Crowded Room, starring Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried, released the mid-season episode this week, and right off the bat, we’ve got to tell you, be careful as you watch it. It was bad enough that Danny Sullivan was almost sexually assaulted in Episode 3, but this episode really shows just how severely traumatic Danny’s life has actually been. Danny had just finished recounting his trip to London in the previous episode, and on the fifth, he begins talking about his childhood and how his mother, Candy, met his stepfather, Marlin. Although it’s not easy to present the events that transpire in this episode, here’s a brief look into this week’s The Crowded Room.
Spoilers Ahead
When Was The First Time Danny Witnessed A Fight?
The fifth episode opens with Adam going away to live with the twins’ dad, Pete,...

If there was any lingering doubt, it was laid to rest after it became clear that Danny Sullivan was not well, revealing most his narrated events didn't happen as described.
Danny ran away to London (or did he?) after his failed attempt to murder Marlin on The Crowded Room Season 1 Episode 4.
Left without anyone to consult after Ariana disappeared, Danny entered panic mode, and the next thing he knew, he was on a plane to London, where he believed his father lived.
But instead of finding his father, he met a former associate, Jack, who conveniently told a story of Peter's whereabouts.
Right after shooting Marlin, Danny knew that he had messed up; not a tiny mess like leaving the lights on, but a huge one.
As a child, he had a limited view of the world, and like most children, the only safe place he knew was with his parents.
