It sounds too good to be true: Filipino theater troupe Sipat Lawin Ensemble have teamed up with Australian playwrights David Finnigan, Jordan Prosser, Sam Burns-Warr, and Georgie McAuley to create a live theater version of Battle Royale to be performed in outdoor venues around the country.Titled Battalia Royale, the production has been so popular that people had to be turned away from the debut performances at Manila's Cultural Center of the Philippines. Jon Peters has avoided jail by finally clearing up the probation mess surrounding his 2006 drunk-driving conviction.

There was a bodyguard to his left and right, plus another at the front door and two police officers outside in a patrol car, as a very friendly Hanks sat at a small table in the back signing everything put in front of him. Hanks teased a little girl about her shyness, and joked that the store staff should ring a bell with each sale.
