A trend that’s taking over Hollywood as of late is the rise of the biblical epic. In the last year alone, we’ve seen Darren Aronofsky’s take on the infamous arc builder in Noah, and soon Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods And Kings will land in theatres. Now, Warner Bros. are keen to get in on the sandal action, as the studio is making headway on their property Methuselah.
Together with producer David Heyman, who brought us the first and last Harry Potter instalments and Gravity, their plan is to bring the Bible character to the big screen for his own pic. The story of Methuselah is one that’s tantamount to a superhero origin tale, as the story is set to follow “a man who ages slowly and has used his time to develop an incredible set of survival skills.”

With technology growing by leaps and bounds, it's only going to be a matter of time before some scientist somewhere concocts some mad plan to take human beings and make them... "better." Who knows? Maybe it's time we had an overhaul.
According to Variety, Tucker Parsons has been set to adapt the Warner Bros. sci-fi pic True Skin based on the short film helmed by Stephan Zlotescu set in the near future where augmentation is the way of life. Zlotescu is also expected to direct this version as well.
Jeff Clifford will produce with John Fischer overseeing for Heyday Films along with Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold of Iam Entertainment. Jon Berg will oversee for the studio. This one may or may not be within our wheelhouse, but we'll keep an eye on things and keep you posted if need be. In the interim check out the aforementioned short film below.

Funnyman Robin Williams has lost a $6 million legal battle with movie bosses who allegedly hired him as the original star of Bruce Willis' forthcoming film "Cop Out". The comedian sued bosses at Gold Circle Films, claiming he was hired to star in the movie, originally titled "A Couple of Dicks", and was entitled to the fee whether or not it was made.
Gold Circle bosses gave up the rights, acquired by Warner Bros., and Willis was hired for the revamped film. The defendants claimed a "play or pay" fee was not entered in their contract with Williams. The case was dismissed on Thursday morning, February 4.
Though he lost the role in "Cop Out", Robin Williams will be seen portraying John Fischer in upcoming movie "Wedding Banned". In the big screen project, which is scheduled to be released in the U.S. in 2011, the 58-year-old actor will star opposite Anna Faris and Diane Keaton.
