Ana Yang, born in a 1998 winter, honor graduate from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Film and Television major with a minor in Media, Culture and Communications. Born in a filmmaker family, Ana has been creating since she was 5. Directed, written, participated in producing over 20 student films during college.
Her thesis One for Sorrow, Two for Joy, currently in the Festival circuit, won the Best Narrative Short and Best Editing award at LA Independent Woman Awards, and Best Narrative Short at LA Movie Awards. Documentary she directed, Vikki's Garden, won Sight and Sound Showcase Award at Tisch School of the Arts. Her short film Maslow won LA CineFestival semi-finalist, and was selected into Art Exhibit "B-Side"at 393 Broadway, Manhattan. She was the assistant to the Oscar-winning director Ellen Goosenberg.
Ana wants to tell stories of old people, women, and children. She believes that filmmaking is the axe for the frozen sea inside of us.
