After the season 5 premiere of the hit AMC TV show "Breaking Bad" raked in 2.9 million viewers, expectations were high for the season's next episode. So when the first part of the plot called for a scene at a food-testing facility in Hanover, Germany, workers had to get creative.
In a behind-the-scenes video by AMC, director Michelle MacLaren explained how the team worked to transform a local high school on location in Albuquerque, N.M., into a German corporate building.
'To make this realistic for Germany, each department did their own research. So wardrobe did research, and the art department did research, the props department did research to make everything authentic," MacLaren said.
