Verdiana Bixio was born into a family of great artists and it is thanks to this tradition that she approaches the sector from an early age, dealing with music, dubbing, adaptation and editing. She graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome in Cinema History and Criticism and since 2005 she has been working in her father's company, Publispei, where over the years, she has carried out various activities that allow her to gain valuable experience in the various departments of the audiovisual production chain.
In September 2012 she became President of Publispei and continues to pursue the mission that has characterized the company for over 50 years: to excite its audience and guarantee the quality and creativity of its productions with highly successful TV series such as "Un Medico in Famiglia" , "I Cesaroni" and "Tutti pazzi per amore". Furthermore, under the guidance of Verdiana, in 2013, Publispei produced, for the first time for the big screen, the documentary on Massimo Troisi entitled "Massimo, my cinema according to me" successfully presented in 2014 at the International Film Festival of Rome. In the same year, Verdiana became a member of the Board of Directors of the APA (Audovisiual Producers Associations).
In 2015 she produced the film by Giuseppe Piccioni entitled "Questi Giorni", in competition at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival and released in Italian theaters in the autumn of 2016. In the meantime, two more new TV series were born, immediately very loved by the public: in 2015 "Happiness has arrived", which will see a second season broadcast on Rai 1 in 2018, and "Amore pensaci tu" broadcast on Canale 5 in 2017.
In 2019, for the first time, Publispei produces the series "Extra virgin" directed by Roberta Torre and co-produced by Fox Networks Group Italy which will be broadcast in the autumn on FoxLife. The same year, Publispei continues to renew itself by producing, for the first time, "Io ti cercherò", a crime TV series starring Alessandro Gassmann and directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli for Rai1.
In 2022, "Lotta Continua" was released on Rai Play and on January 13, 2023 on Rai3, the docu-film produced by Verdiana Bixio for Publispei in collaboration with Rai documentaries and Rai Play, freely inspired by the book "The boys who wanted to make the revolution" by Aldo Cazzullo. On February 13, 2023, the series co-produced with Rai Fiction "Flowers Over The Inferno" based on the best seller by Ilaria Tuti starts on Rai1 in prime time and, again in the same year, the Young Adult series arrives on Rai2 and Rai Play in the spring "Yet We Fall Happy" freely inspired by the novel by Enrico Galiano, published by Longanesi and among the most important publishing successes of recent years.
