There are few One Piece moments as unforgettable as the first time Roronoa Zoro uses his swords — two in his hands and one clenched between his teeth. Dental bills aside, if you have the grit and determination to wield a sword in your mouth, you have what it takes to sail the Grand Line. And sure, Roronoa Zoro might get lost from time to time (from time to time to time), but he’s also the best first crew member that Monkey D. Luffy could’ve ever chosen. Related: Meet Monkey D. Luffy: One Piece Anime 25th Anniversary Spotlight 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the debut of the One Piece anime, and to celebrate, we’re shining a monthly spotlight on the members of the finest crew of pirates ever to sail across the sea (or your TV screen): the Straw Hats . Each month, we’ll dive deep into a member of Monkey D.

The Poneglyphs, which were introduced during the Alabasta saga of One Piece, are one of the biggest mysteries of the series. Not much is known about them aside from the fact that they contain the details about the history of the One Piece world, and that they are indestructible. As the story progressed, the importance of these Poneglyphs has also increased.
The Poneglyphs in One Piece
Out of all the Poneglyphs, the four road Poneglyphs are the ones that, when combined, can disclose the location of Laugh Tale which is the final island in the hunt for the One Piece treasure. This is why they are the biggest threat to the World Government and they have been actively trying to destroy them.
However, the strange thing about the Poneglyphs is their indestructibility. No one knows how the Poneglyphs were made and how they have been so intact even after so many years.

Dracule Mihawk, the man who holds the title of the World’s Strongest Swordsman, has been feared by many, even though he has never shown the true extent of his powers. He is deemed the rival of one of the Emperors of the Sea, Red-Haired Shanks, and even though he can become an Emperor, he chooses not to.
Dracule Mihawk – One Piece
This in itself speaks of the power he possesses. He was recently seen working together with Crocodile and Buggy, as they co-founded the organization called Cross Guild. Since then, no new update about the World’s Strongest Swordsman has been made in the series, and the fans eagerly await to see what he is capable of.
However, One Piece fans have one doubt regarding Dracule Mihawk that will decide whether he will be a part of the final battle. This doubt is whether Mihawk possesses the Advanced Conqueror’s Haki or not.

Monkey D. Luffy, the newly recognized Emperor of the Sea in One Piece, is currently in a battle against one of the strongest villains in the series, the Five Elders. All the Five Elders have reached the Egghead Island arc and trying their best to stop Luffy from escaping the island and capture him while also stopping Vegapunk’s announcement.
Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece
Luffy has come a long way since the beginning of the series. When he was initially introduced in One Piece, fans could have never assumed in a million years that with his powers, his physical appearance, and his attitude, he would be one of the strongest characters in the series and would be the only individual who is the closest to being the King of the Pirates.
However, one thing that Eiichiro Oda has taught us is that the strongest doesn’t always win the fight.

Since the One Piece story started, Eiichiro Oda has introduced some powerful characters in the series who are in a league of their own. Dracule Mihawk is one of them. He holds the title of the World’s Strongest Swordsman and has given a glimpse of his powers. However, he has never fully shown what he is capable of.
Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk is stated to be Shanks’s rival, which gives a hint about his strength and what he can do as a swordsman. However, this may become a problem for Oda as the story progresses. Mihawk’s title of the Strongest Swordsman makes him a serious issue in the One Piece storyline as it makes the introduction of new characters difficult.
This problem has become more serious since Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, one of the Five Elders, has revealed his powers in One Piece. This creates a big problem...

One Piece Chapter 1111 is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2024. Currently, the Egghead Island arc is approaching its climax, with the Monkey D. Luffy having to face the Gorosei. But it looks like he will be aided by the Giant Captains Dorry and Broggy and his vice-captain, Roronoa Zoro. The latter was busy fighting Rob Lucci, but one shot after hearing Sanji speak ill about him.
On the other hand, Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro started to wreak havoc after setting foot the Egghead Island. In his Devil Fruit form, he froze half of the Pacifistas in the blink of an eye. He is the only member of the Gorosei to use a sword, and with Zoro not occupied anymore, the fans are pitching a ferocious battle between them in the upcoming chapter.

Considering how much of a hit the live-action One Piece series was for Netflix, the streamer appears to have gone all-in with the works of creator Eiichiro Oda. Alongside having the rights to show the anime series’ latest arc with weekly releases, an animated adaptation was revealed for an earlier short story entitled Monsters. Whilst it is understandable that the title was changed to make this short film stand out, it is curious how the new title, Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, is considerably lengthier?!.
The twenty-six-minute short begins with Ryuma (Yoshimasa Hosoya), a swordsman who just wants food but is unable to pay. His path leads to young waitress Flare (Kana Hanazawa), who has rebuilt her life after her hometown was destroyed by a dragon.

One Piece is the epitome of world-building and there are only a handful who can stand on equal footing. And while both Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard were the pinnacles of swordsmanship in their era, neither wielded a Black Blade. This has sparked debate amongst fans and many have also speculated the possibility of Zoro forging one during his journey to become the strongest.
In One Piece, Black Blades aren’t just weapons, they’re testaments to a swordsman’s mastery. Forged not by fire, but by years of infusing Haki, they become permanently black and possess immense power. Achieving this feat grants huge prestige and a significant boost, making Black Blades the ultimate goal for any aspiring swordsman like Zoro.

“One Piece” is about to become an anime series — again.
On the heels of the immense success of the first season of its live-action “One Piece” TV series, Netflix has teamed with “One Piece” creator Eiichiro Oda, publisher Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation Co. for a new anime adaptation of Oda’s “One Piece” manga series. Yes, this project is completely separate from the existing “One Piece” anime series, produced by Toei Animation, which has been running since 1999.
The remake, titled “The One Piece,” will cover the same story told in Oda’s manga, beginning at the same point as both the existing anime and Netflix’s live-action adaptation: following the “East Blue saga” of aspiring pirate king Monkey D. Luffy and his crew.
