Hannah Waddingham has gushed that Tom Cruise is "gorgeous" to work with. The 'Ted Lasso' star, 49, was not willing to reveal any plot details about their upcoming flick, 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part Two’ and quipped that she will get "fractionally vilified for saying something nice" about the Hollywood star again.Speaking to Deadline at the Golden Globes at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (07.01.24), she said: "He's a fabulous person, great to work with. Heading into the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7, “Succession” was the show to beat as it scored a record nine nominations — more than any other television show in history. Some of the other top nominees on the TV side were “The Bear” and “Only Murders in the Building” with five noms apiece, and “The Crown” with four bids. But which shows ended up being the big winners during the three-hour ceremony?
Best TV Movie/Limited Series Actress was the first TV category handed out this year, and it went to Ali Wong (“Beef”), who is also predicted to prevail at next week’s Emmys. She beat out Riley Keough (“Daisy Jones & the Six”), Brie Larson (“Lessons in Chemistry”), Elizabeth Olson (“Love and Death”), Juno Temple (“Fargo”) and Rachel Weisz (“Dead Ringers”).

Just how long have the 2023 Emmys been in the making? Well, nominees include “The White Lotus,” which hasn’t aired since December 2022. Likewise, Hulu’s “Fire Island,” “Welcome to Chippendales,” and “Hocus Pocus 2” (remember that?!) are all among the TV projects nominated, as well as more recent shows like “Poker Face.”

HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama The Last of Us topped night one of the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys presentation with eight awards, in the categories for guest actor, which was presented to Nick Offerman for his role as Bill; guest actress, for Storm Reid, who played Riley; editing; main title design; prosthetic makeup; sound editing; mixing and VFX.
The Television Academy started to hand out its Creative Arts Emmy Awards Saturday, which will continue Sunday at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, after being pushed from its September window due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Ed Sheeran can add another trophy to his collection: an Emmy, having won Saturday night for best original music and lyrics in a television show at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys (which were delayed due to the writers and actors strikes last year).
The other nominees were tracks from Ginny & Georgia, The L Word: Generation Q, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Ted Lasso (nominated twice, only one of the songs being written by Sheeran), and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
This is Sheeran’s first Emmy nomination, for the song “A Beautiful Game,” which is featured in Ted Lasso’s season 3 finale and was produced by Max Martin. Sheeran was not in attendance to accept the award.
The award honors a song or score created specifically for a television show. Last year’s winner was Cinco Paul, who wrote original material for Schmigadoon!

You can almost invariably find your favorite actor’s best performances in their TV gigs, lead or not. There’s something about either maintaining a personality or convincingly growing through a transformation that needs a unique commitment. And that’s something a lot of big names in movies are often intimidated by. The abundance of critically acclaimed shows in 2023 has made it even more of a challenge to limit my favorites on this list of the best. So I’d leave it up to you to imagine the kind of impact the following performances must have had.
Phil Dunster In ‘Ted Lasso’
Even if the saccharine-sweet vibe of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso is not something you dig, you have to admit that Phil Dunster’s performance in the latest season was nothing short of extraordinary. With his character Jamie Tartt having the best character arc in the entire show,...

The nominations for the 2023 Latin Grammys are here — and though the award show is undergoing big changes by switching up its venue and heading to Spain this November, the contenders in each category are pretty familiar to the Latin Recording Academy. Major pop acts and Latin Grammy veterans make up a lot of the big categories here: The Mexican American songwriter and producer Édgar Barrera leads the tally with 13 nods, much of it for his work with Camilo and Grupo Frontera. Camilo, along with Shakira, Karol G, and songwriter Keityn,...

You can now make your 2024 Golden Globes TV nominee predictions. The event is ready and available in our Gold Derby predictions center earlier than ever before, so we need to hear from you regarding the drama, comedy and limited/movie categories. Nominations will be announced by Dick Clark Productions and the HFPA on Monday, December 11.
There will be major turnover for drama with reigning champ “House of the Dragon” gone, along with nominees “Better Call Saul,” “Ozark” and “Severance.” The only returning nominee could be “The Crown.” Acting winners were Zendaya (“Euphoria”) and Kevin Costner (“Yellowstone”), both of whom are ineligible this cycle.
Comedy is more stable with the 2023 winner “Abbott Elementary” available to return along with “The Bear” and “Only Murders in the Building.” Only “Hacks” and “Wednesday” will be ineligible. Both Quinta Brunson (“Abbott Elementary”) and Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”) are eligible to repeat.

The Emmys often award the same shows over and over again, and, well, they did that again tonight by giving Best Comedy Series to last year’s winner “Ted Lasso” and Best Drama Series to the winner two years ago, “Succession.” But it wasn’t a sweep of the Comedy and Drama categories at the 74th Prime Emmy Awards by those two shows by any means.
In fact, the Emmys spread the wealth quite a bit: in the Comedy categories, “Ted Lasso” indeed won four Emmys: for Lead Actor Jason Sudeikis, Supporting Actor Brett Goldstein, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, as well as the top prize. But “Abbott Elementary” also won two major prizes: Sheryl Lee Ralph for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and for Best Writing for a Comedy Series.
