We’ve known from the start that director Zack Snyder intended to released extended director’s cuts of his movies Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) and Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver (read our review of that one Here), which were rated PG-13 in their shorter form. At the start of this month, we learned that the director’s cut of Rebel Moon: Part One has been given a R rating for brutal bloody violence and gore, sexual content, graphic nudity and language. Now the Motion Picture Association ratings board has revealed that the director’s cut of Rebel Moon: Part Two has been rated R for strong bloody violence and gore throughout, strong sexuality, nudity and some language.
We don’t know a release date for the director’s cuts just yet, but Snyder has said that the director’s cuts...

Rogue One is arguably one of the most appreciated Star Wars projects post the Original Trilogy. The spin-off released in 2016 explored how a band of Rebels stole the plans of the Death Star before the events of 1977’s Star Wars: A New Hope.
The Diego Luna film was very different in its style and tonality than the other projects in George Lucas’ space opera franchise. But the project was intended to be even more different, as the makers wanted to give importance to Saw Gerrera in the story.

Saw Gerrera was first introduced in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars before making his live-action debut with Rogue One. Forest Whitaker played the live-action version in the 2016 film.

Following a limited theatrical release, director Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire (read our review Here) was released through the Netflix streaming service back in December. Viewers will get the chance to find out what happens in the second half of the story when Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver reaches the service on April 19th (you can watch our interviews with Snyder and cast members Here) – and during an interview with Forbes, Snyder confirmed that a Rebel Moon 3 is already in the works!
When asked about the possibility of a third film, Snyder said, “We have definitely been working on a Part Three, as far as the story goes. We definitely know where we’re all headed – we’ve known that for quite a while, to be honest. So yeah, I’m excited to make some more Rebel Moon movies – that would be fun.

Saw has returned! Tobin Bell is back as the famed serial killer and Saw X explored events that took place before his infamous death in Saw III. However, the bread and butter for Saw is their traps. This time, John uses his traps on a pair of con artists once he realizes that a risky and experimental medical procedure is a scam. As soon as Saw X, the tenth entry in the Saw franchise (you can read our review Here), was released a couple months ago, franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules were already talking about the potential of a Saw XI. Yesterday, the new sequel was officially announced, complete with a release date: Saw XI will be reaching theatres on September 27, 2024. When fans saw that announcement, they understandably jumped to the conclusion that the new film is going to be written by the team of Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, since they wrote not only Saw X but also Jigsaw and Spiral: From the Book of Saw. But, as it turns out, Goldfinger and Stolberg are not coming back for this one.
Stolberg took to X to let fans know: “Got a slew of DMs today about the Lionsgate Saw announcement. Pete and I are sitting this chapter out. Very...

A new teaser for the upcoming OneChicago seasons confirms the return of Taylor Kinney‘s Kelly Severide to the Windy City, and he’s not wasting a moment when it comes to making up for lost time. In the promo (watch below), which includes footage from Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D., we see a brief clip of Severide reuniting with his wife, Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo). “I’m here. We’re in this together,” Severide tells Stella before kissing her. The trailer ends before we see whether Stella fully reciprocates the kiss. Kinney temporarily left the NBC firefighter drama in January for personal reasons, with his last appearance being the February 22 episode. On the show, it was said that Severide had gone to Alabama for an arson investigation training program, though Stella later learned he was no longer in Alabama and had been recruited to help with an Atf investigation.

Jigsaw will be back inflict pain once more in Saw XI, and the new film is arriving in 2024: more details here.
It is rare for any franchise to reach ten films. It is even rarer for the tenth film to receive some of the best reviews of the series.
Such was the case with Saw X, the film that put Tobin Bell front and centre one again as malicious vigilante John Kramer/Jigsaw.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the impressive box office returns of Saw X, Lionsgate has confirmed that it is pressing ahead with Saw XI.
You won’t have to wait long to see it either, as the official Saw social media accounts posted an image stating the sequel would be with us in just over nine months time, on the 27th September 2024.

Lionsgate is back with a bang, announcing “Saw XI” with a slated release date of September 27, 2024. The news came out of the blue, especially since “Saw X” graced theaters just over two months ago. The announcement was made on Instagram, intriguing fans with Roman numerals set against a spooky “Saw” backdrop.
The “Saw” franchise is no stranger to fast-paced releases. Echoing the quick success of the earlier films, “Saw XI” is following closely on the heels of its predecessor. This pattern of rapid production has been a hallmark of the series since “Saw II” rushed to screens just a year after the original.

So reads a post to the official Lionsgate and Saw social media pages this afternoon. Along with it, the date 9.27.24 was posted which, one presumes, is the release date for the 11th film in Lionsgate’s durable franchise. That’s roughly the same window in which Saw X debuted this year.
The tenth installment of the franchise will chronologically take place between Saw I and Saw II. No official word on whether 81-year-old Tobin Bell will be back as the Jigsaw killer, though after 10 installments, it’s likely a safe bet.

Lionsgate is sharpening its tools for yet another Saw installment. The studio has set a date for Saw XI, with the franchise’s Instagram account announcing a Sept. 27, 2024 for the series.
The latest installment, Saw X, was a surprise critical hit for the franchise, becoming the first in the series to win over critics and earn fresh Rotten Tomatoes score. It was a commercial hit as well, earning more than $107.6 million globally on a $13 million budget.
Saw veteran Kevin Greutert was behind Saw X, which turned a more empathetic eye toward antagonist John “Jigsaw” Kramer (Tobin Bell). “There are so many directions we could go, but for me, there’s no obvious one coming out of this film. I really wanted it to feel like a kind of final send-off for the Jigsaw character, but never say never,” Greutert told The Hollywood Reporter in October.
No other details have been revealed about the new installment.

I’ll always remember my first introduction to James Wan. It was after Saw‘s success and heading into supernatural territory with Insidious. It was one of the first “set visits” I enjoyed attending – the opportunity to report on the film while it was in production. And it was a joy. Instantly, I found myself impressed with everything about the man. Mr. Wan is a wonderfully talented individual who manages to tackle something weird and wild like Malignant and then create a big-budget megahit like Aquaman.
With the upcoming release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is hitting theatres on December 22nd, we had the the chance to have a quick chat with Mr. Wan. While our time to talk was short, James opened up about continuing with the characters he featured in Aquaman. The filmmaker discussed the look of the film and how they created a different visual landscape.

At long last, Jigsaw returned in Saw X. Set between the events of Saw and Saw II, the tenth installment is a gruesome fan-pleaser led by a franchise-best performance from Tobin Bell as John Kramer.
Along with a six-part making-of documentary and more, the film’s home video release features an audio commentary by director-editor Kevin Greutert, cinematographer Nick Matthews, and production designer Anthony Stabley.
Here are nine things I learned from the Saw X commentary…
1. Kevin Greutert was unsure about the concept until he read the script.
Greutert — who edited six previous Saw films and directed Saw VI and Saw 3D — is one of the few Saw creatives to return for Saw X, but he wasn’t sold on the initial concept.

Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" is so raw, bleak, and gritty that one could be forgiven for thinking they discovered a legitimate snuff film. The interior of the killer family's household, festooned with human bone-encrusted furniture and lampshades made from skin, looks more like a grim discovery than a constructed set. It's well known among the film's fans that many elements of "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" were inspired by the crimes of notorious murder and arts-and-crafts enthusiast Ed Gein. Gein, who actually lived in Wisconsin, is confirmed to have murdered at least two people, although he frequently plundered a nearby graveyard for building materials. A list of Gein's grisly crafts can easily be found by true crime enthusiasts, and the makers of "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" recreated some of them in shocking detail.

What began as a simple two-hander about strangers chained in a squalid bathroom, enduring the twisted games of a mysterious tormentor, has evolved into an intricate saga spanning nearly twenty years and ten gruesome films. With every new "Saw" movie, the traps become bigger and more brutal, the timelines increasingly jumbled, and the twists even more mind-boggling. Each "Saw" entry delves deeper into (and complicates) the maniacal Jigsaw philosophy that forces people to confront their sins and appreciate the life they've been given.
Often regarded as part of the controversial horror subgenre "torture porn" (even though we may need to retire that term forever), the "Saw" films feature graphic depictions of mutilation and extreme violence in elaborate devices that are not for the faint of heart. While it can be daunting to tackle such a visceral and temporally complex series, there is really only one solid path to follow when...
