Update: Actress Tawny Kitaen died on May 7 from dilated cardiomyopathy. The manner of death was ruled natural today by the Orange County Sheriff’s Dept. in California.
The spokesman said other significant conditions with Kitaen included: mild coronary atherosclerosis; mirtazapine, mirtazapine metabolite, alprazolam, acetaminophen, pregabalin, and hydrocodone.
Earlier: Tawny Kitaen, an actress whose stunning presence in two Whitesnake videos helped propel that band’s multiplatinum albums to No. 1 in the late ’80s, died Friday in Newport Beach at age 59. No cause of death has been determined, according to numerous reports.
Whitesnake’s hits “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love?” from the album Whitesnake helped make that band the toast of the late 1980s, thanks in no small part to Kitaen’s allure. “Here I Go Again” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. Watch the clip below.

When the news of Tawny Kitaen’s death hit over the weekend, various images from her career flooded into the heads of fans. People who came of age in the Eighties remembered her appearance on the cover of the 1984 Ratt album Out of the Cellar and her role as Tom Hanks’ fiancée that same year in Bachelor Party. People a bit younger remembered her as Jerry’s girlfriend in the 1991 Seinfeld episode “The Nose Job,” or her tumultuous real-life marriage to Major League Baseball pitcher Chuck Finley. The internet is often a hellscape, but every so often a gift comes along like “Jacked Up.” Reddit user LundgrensFrontKick is going viral this week on the popular news aggregation website after introducing the internet to a fake Adam Sandler movie that is as outrageously and shockingly stupid as many of the comedian’s Netflix originals (see “Murder Mystery” and “The Do Over”). The film, titled “Jacked Up,” has a plot ripped from Sandler’s 12 lowest rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes, from the 0% Western parody “The Ridiculous Six” to the 3% comedy “Jack and Jill,” and has gained such traction online that fan posters are even being created for it.

It's been 28 years since Whitesnake released their famous single "Here I Go Again" -- and, last night, the song's music video vixen made a very rare public appearance. Tawny Kitaen, the very same woman who did cartwheels on the hood of a classic car in the 1987 video, hit the red carpet in Los Angeles. Still sporting her signature red hair, the former model and ex-wife of Whitesnake frontman David Cloverdale (left) looked great at the premiere of Amazon's new series "Bosch." The 53-year-old was on hand to support Jenica Bergere, an actress in the series who also directed Kitaen in the upcoming film "Come Simi." In the year since dancing around in a sheer white dress in the now-infamous video, Kitean married and divorced Cloverdale, before following suit with pitcher Chuck Finley. Following her 2002 divorce from Finley, Kitaen was arrested for drug possession in 2006 and followed it up with stints...

Blast from the past! Tawny Kitaen, who was once married to Whitesnake's David Coverdale and appeared in many of the band's glam rock music videos, is back on the scene. For the first time since 2013, the Ex-Wives Club alum stepped out for a red carpet event—the Bosch premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Modeling strawberry blonde tresses, blue nails, and a wide smile, Kitaen, 53, also wed to baseball player Chuck Finley from 1997 to 2002, brought us back to our glam rock days. (Complete [...]...

For its 100th story, “Forget Me Not,” Burn Notice needed to tell the story of how Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) met, before it rides off into the sunset. But how did we come to that meeting when last we saw Michael, he was in the Dominican Republic trying to keep his deep cover from being blown? And what was the meaning of this line:
Michael: That’s the kiss you give when it’s over.
It meant that Michael blew his chance for eternal happiness with Fiona, even after saving her from Dexter Gambler, (Nick Tarabay, Spartacus: War of the Damned) the spy Randall Burke’s henchman sent stateside to confirm Michael’s mission. She wouldn’t have been caught to begin with, if her, Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell) weren’t trying to deal with the fallout of Michael’s deal with the CIA.

To put it brief, the two-hour Burn Notice Season 6 finale spectacle surpassed our expectations. We aren’t in a further place along Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) seemingly never-ending path to redemption, but he is in a safer place. We were teased with the death of a character, and we got one, just probably not the one we originally thought–and that’s just fine with us. We wanted to see Michael go up to bat for his crew and he did that on a few occasions and ultimately paid the price at the end. He did exactly what he promised Sam (Bruce Campbell); Michael Westen made things right. There were also a few lines that should have caught you off guard, and some that made you laugh out loud, reminding those that have stuck by this show why we love it so.

With both Sam and Fiona's lives hanging in the balance and even his mother threatened, Michael certainly felt the pressure of being "Under the Gun" on Burn Notice last Thursday.
With TV Fanatic's Jim Garner away at Comic-Con this week, our Round Table team of Miranda Wicker and Christine Orlando ignored all feelings of jealousy to invite Steven from Burn Notice Fanatic on board to discuss, among other topics, how long Fiona can survive and whether love will change Sam.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Christine: Where I loved the touching scene in the prison on "Last Rites," this week I was all about Sam's kidnapping. When he quipped, You picked me because I'm the cute one, right? I knew it was going to be fun.
Miranda: Fiona telling Ayn she knew the package didn't arrive in time and Ayn saying she's practicing trust.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Carla: Without a doubt, when Michael and Fiona reunited at the prison. Their tears, reminiscing about how they met, their Irish accents -- whoa. Heartbreaking to watch.
Jim: I have to agree with Carla. As noted in my Burn Notice review, the reunion scene in the prison was absolutely amazing. I honestly think that it was Golden Globle award level of performance. Bravo to both actors for an outstanding performance!
Miranda: I feel like it's going to be a nearly unanimous vote for this one, but Michael and Fiona's visitation. I'm not going to lie.

Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) has been the good soldier, helping those in need while trying to find out who burned him as a spy. After getting so close to the truth so many times, Michael began risking those he cared about to get any morsel or favor to help him get to the end. Once he got there, he wasn’t prepared for the most surreptitious villain he’s faced so far. Anson Fullerton (Jere Burns) has been up there all along, pulling the strings and orchestrating the madness in Michael’s life and then used Michael and his crew in Season 5 with Fiona’s (Gabrielle Anwar) life as leverage because he could frame her for the killing of two security guards at the British Consulate. The first two episodes have shown that Burn Notice is noticeably different this season–noticeably awesome that is!

I hope this kind of character piece catches on.
Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe is a tie-in TV movie set in the universe of Burn Notice, USA's spy-fi action drama. It follows the exploits of the titular axe-man, a roguish Navy Seal played by the one and only Bruce Campbell. Axe is an auxiliary character in the series proper, but in this two-hour movie event, he's the star of the show. The Fall of Sam Axe traces the character's backstory and explores the events which led him to retire from the SEALs, revealing some key details about the series regular and fan favorite. Wanna know why Sam Axe always calls himself 'Chuck Finley' in the field? Yeah, it's in there.

Looks like Jeffrey Donovan, the star of USA Network’s hit show “Burn Notice” is moving up in the world, and good for him. I’ve always been a fan of Donovan ever since his “Touching Evil” remake days (co-starring a very fetching Vera Farmiga, Fyi), and I’m glad the guy is finding a huge dose of success with “Burn Notice”. Donovan has now parlayed that success into a directing gig, and will be behind the cameras when Chuck Finley (aka Sam Axe, aka Bruce Campbell) takes the center stage in a “Burn Notice” original prequel movie. The prequel, set in late 2005, begins after a faction of Colombian rebels makes trouble for the locally stationed military platoon, with Lieutenant Commander Sam Axe (Campbell) being sent down to advise. Cast: Todd Allen, Clare Bristol, Burke Byrnes, Ryan Carroll, Gloria Hayes, Tawny Kitaen, J.P. Luebsen, Rose Marie, Stephen Nichols
I was talking with a group of people at a local bar over the weekend, and the conversation strayed into a discussion of starlets of the 80’s. Of course, the first woman mentioned was Tawny Kitaen. While she’d appeared in several B-movies, her most notable performance was in a Whitesnake video, rolling around on the hoods of two Jaguars in a white negligee. It was an iconic moment of the 80’s and all the attention should have boosted her movie career. But it didn’t and she started working on television, appearing on Hercules, Married… With Children and Eek The Cat. Her last movie role was in 1997’s Dead Tides, with Roddy Piper and Miles O’Keeffe.
Then, in 2002, her troubles with the law began.

I have to admit, the idea of this episode could not be more perfect to me. I love Burn Notice, I love Jeffrey Donovan, I freely admit to a crush on Coby Bell, and I’ve been a fan of Robert Patrick since I was a kid. All three of those people on this show? Well, that’s just heavenly.
As we know from last week, Patrick plays John Barrett, the CEO of a Big Technology Company who is out to get his hands on Simon Escher’s Bible and use it to bring down Vaughn and his people. At this point, it really is the lesser of two evils for Team Burn Notice. Sam, Fiona and Michael are having a poolside meeting to discuss a fake Naval Intelligence file that they plan on passing off to Jesse implicating Barrett. Jesse proceeds to kick himself for not connecting the dots,...

Last week was possibly the worst week ever for the otherwise outstanding White Collar, so the burning question is how will the show rebound? Simple: give some spotlight to underrated supporting players Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins, plus bring in a dependable guest star in John Larroquette, and see what happens.
The FBI surveillance van is on the lookout for a suspected jewel thief, whom Neal is dispatched to collar. For some reason, he starts trying to talk her out of making the deal that would get her arrested, which sets off Peter’s intuition in the van. He quickly sees what’s going on: Neal was being wary because her kid is in the backseat. That’s different, but not altogether unheard of, and it’s about to open a whole other can of worms.
Mozzie has news about the elusive flight recorder. He’s lifted it from Sara’s apartment.

Another week, another episode of Burn Notice. This week's episode is entitled Made Men. As usual, this is a detailed recap, so if you haven't already viewed the show, spoilers abound.
Vfoc - Miami flyover to close-up of Michael, seated
Spy Observation: (Michael is sitting in at a table with Fiona and Sam) Spies come from all walks of life, and no two are alike. Whether they are a burned former operative, a beautiful bomber with a temper, or a hard drinking ex-seal, they all share one trait; punctuality. Showing up on time means you are fifteen minutes late.
The gang are sitting waiting for Jesse at a restaurant. They discuss why they are letting Jesse join their little merry gang. Michael reminds them that they are all investigating the same people, and since Michael burned him, it only seems fair. Sam doesn't understand the need for a counter intelligence agent.

A quick review of last night's "Burn Notice" coming up just as soon as I get to make up the codenames... This one was all about the man, the myth, the legend that is Chuck Finley. Finley is just a name Sam likes(*) and applies to all sorts of cover identities, but you get the sense that whenever he dusts it off, the writers are going to give Bruce Campbell something fun to play. (*) Campbell has said Chuck Finley was the name of a friend of his dad's, but I imagine someone on the writing staff was also a big Angels...

Actress Tawny Kitaen insists she's still close to the ex-husband she once battered with a stiletto.
Police were called when The Bachelor Party star attacked baseball pitcher Chuck Finley after he threatened to divorce her if she didn't seek help for her Vicodin habit.
The painkiller abuse, coupled with years of cocaine use, turned Kitaen into a temperamental wreck and she set about Finley with her shoe in the family car.
Now a member of the new season of VH1's reality show Celebrity Rehab, Kitaen is merely grateful that she and Finley are still friends.
She says, "I got arrested for attacking a 6ft 8, 245 pound man. We continued on with the divorce... but he is my best friend, he is the love of my life."...

Bachelor Party star Tawny Kitaen has been charged with possessing 15 grams of cocaine in California. A statement by the Orange County district attorney's office said police found the cocaine on May 21 in the San Juan Capistrano apartment she shares with her two children. It was not immediately clear why police were at the apartment or why there was a delay in filing the charges. If convicted, the 45-year-old could face up to three years in prison. In 2002, she was accused of attacking her husband, professional baseball player Chuck Finley, following an argument during dinner at a steakhouse. The case was dismissed after she agreed to undergo counseling. The pair have since divorced. Kitaen, who has appeared on TV shows such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and The Surreal Life, is scheduled to be arraigned on December 18.
