Earlier this month, a pretty wild rumour started doing the rounds online suggesting Marvel Studios wants Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to play Apocalypse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
An X-Men reboot - hopefully titled "Uncanny X-Men" - will be released after Avengers: Secret Wars, but is the pro wrestler turned Hollywood A-Lister a good fit for the MCU? It's no secret that he attempted to exert creative control over the DC Extended Universe after attempting to turn it into the "DJ Extended Universe" with Black Adam!
That won't fly with Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, but if The Rock is willing to play ball, then he could make for a suitably formidable En Sabah Nur in a future live-action X-Men movie.
In some new fan art, we get an idea of what he'll look like as the villainous Apocalypse and, honestly, it works. We still don't know how old the X-Men themselves will be,...

The rise of social media has seen a rise in the number of so-called scoopers sharing inside information. Many of them have no more credibility than your average Reddit commenter, but then there are those with a solid track record.
@MyTimeToShineH (mostly) falls into the latter category, and whether you want to put that down to lucky guesses or legit sources, they've dropped more hits than misses in recent years.
This latest claim, though, is one we're struggling to believe. Then again, stranger things have happened!
Apparently, Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is on Marvel Studios' radar to play En Sabah Nur, a.k.a. Apocalypse. We'd assume this is for the upcoming X-Men reboot, though it's possible he'd play a Variant of the villain in one of the upcoming Avengers movies seeing as many of the original X-Men are expected to appear.
Physically, Johnson certainly looks...

It’s hard to explain now, thirty years on, just what a huge event The Death of Superman was. It grew far beyond anything DC Comics could have imagined. It all started with that same old thing in comics, falling sales on the Superman books. There was nothing wrong with the stories or creative teams, they were all very good. I should know because I have practically every issue after all. The problem was with culture. Punisher was big, Ghost Rider was big, Wolverine was big, Batman was getting darker and darker. Superman was just out of step with tastes. So, to get a bit of publicity, then Editor Mike Carlin and his creative teams decided to kill Superman (temporarily of course).
The story, though, caught the attention of the national, then international press,...

Blade Runner 2049, the Blade Runner sequel that fans waited thirty-five years to see, was not a box office success when it was released back in 2017. But that hasn’t stopped the franchise from continuing to grow. We have an Amazon limited series called Blade Runner 2099 to look forward to, there’s an anime series called Blade Runner: Black Lotus, there was a graphic novel called Blade Runner 2019: Off World (pick up a copy Here), a Blade Runner: Origins comic, and Titan Comics and Alcon Publishing are bringing us a trilogy comic book series that started with Blade Runner 2019 and continued with Blade Runner 2029. The death of Superman continues to loom large over the DC Universe, just as the actual, legendary tale, “The Death of Superman,” looms large over popular culture. It shouldn’t be surprising that one of the most creatively abundant periods in Superman history yielded one story that continues to cast such a long shadow, and yet “The Death of Superman” has become, second only to the Man of Steel’s origin story, perhaps the best known tale in the character’s history.
It’s more than just the story itself. “The Death of Superman” was a media event at a time when comics weren’t necessarily getting mainstream attention. Radio, TV, and traditional print media seized on the opportunity, and casual fans unaware that nobody stays dead in the world of superheroes, genuinely thought DC was bringing the career of its longest-running hero to a close. Since then, the story has been adapted for animation,...

“Thin Blue Line", the limited edition graphic novel by Eisner Award winning writer Mike Baron ("Nexus") and illustrators Joseph Arnold, Jeff Slemons, with covers by Butch Guice and Sergio Cariello, is now officially in print, set during the Summer of 2020, when the world watched in horror as raging mobs and political activists burned down cities across America, killing people and destroying communities, with local governments remaining unaccountable to this day:
"...in the middle of a long hot summer, a cop kills a man and the incident makes the national news, with the support of a biased media. As cities across the country quickly erupt into violence, well-organized activist groups mix in with opportunists and provocateurs who begin to riot, loot, burn -- and kill.
"Police officers 'Valeria Baca', a single mother and her partner 'Bob Mack', attempt to protect a city mayor while 'peaceful protestor' mobs loot businesses and burn down buildings,...

Thor is low key the best Marvel comics character . Sure there are characters more essential to the narrative, like Spider-Man or Franklin Richards. And yes, there are absolutely characters with more critical seminal stories. But you are going to be hard pressed to find someone as consistently in the middle of big events with a consistently strong book backing them up as Thor. That means when a movie like Thor: Love & Thunder comes out, you get a lot of great choices to recommend to friends or buy for yourself, because while some of them might get hot from the movie, most of them will be great choices to read. We’ve got a few good options for you to snag on eBay.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Marvel Universe as of late, then you’re well aware of how Wolverine has been lurking in the shadows, popping up in various “post-credits scenes” in several of the publisher’s marquee titles. What we don’t know, however, is how the heck is he walking around? And why does he have an Infinity Stone?
Well, it looks as though we may have some answers before long.
As you may have heard, a special one-shot will arrive this April that’ll get the ball rolling for what we’re here to discuss today. Titled The Hunt for Wolverine #1, it’ll see Charles Soule – the very man who penned Death of Wolverine a few years back – return for the natural followup.
