Kaala Paani is a 2023 Indian drama series directed by Amit Golani and Sameer Saxena. The series stars Mona Singh, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Sukant Goel.
“Kaala Paani” is an engaging ensemble series that revolves around multiple protagonists who find themselves caught up in a situation. Their interconnected stories, driven by conflict and an epidemic, serve as the narrative backbone of this compelling television series from India.
This well-developed series maintains a deliberate and almost reflective pace. Don’t expect Hollywood-style sequences with grand effects like in a blockbuster film. Instead, it focuses on the characters, delving into their psychology and personal stories while intertwining them with the conflict of the unleashed epidemic and its resolution.
Plot
On a picturesque island in India called Jenkins, an epidemic breaks out in the waters. The population becomes isolated, leading to a violent situation.

Netflix India has been rolling out some great content this year. Kohrra is easily one of the best shows so far in the Ott space. This was followed by the unprecedented success seen by Scoop, Guns & Gulaabs, and Choona. The streaming giant has, for the past few months, boasted of delivering shows in various subjects and genres that have captivated the audience. The brand new Kaala Paani is a callback to the 1996 Mohanlal starrer period film of the same name, directed by Priyadarshan. Meanwhile, this show is a medical drama set on Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is interesting to see Netflix India’s foraying into this genre, as there is already Disney+ Hotstar’s Humans and Amazon Prime Video’s Mumbai Diaries. Both are fine examples of good medical dramas.

The survival drama series ‘Kaala Paani’ has just unveiled its trailer and it has a more haunting vibe than one can expect of a thriller series. Amidst the allure of the salty seas, the ocean’s breeze, there are many haunting mysteries in the dark of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and these things are menacing and unforgiving which warrants a desperate struggle for escape and survival.
This is what basically ‘Kaala Paani’ trailer is, a search for something mysterious that should not be touched only for it to bite back and chase you till your demise.
The premise of the show follows certain individuals who journey from the mainland into the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, trying to explore the mystery of Kaala Paani who find themselves trapped on the islands, away from the mainland, with no immediate help coming.
There is a presence of supernatural terror that is present...

Foreword
Web series on streaming platforms have warranted a far more emotional investment both for actors in the cast and from the viewers who would try and get involved in the characters. Their sequels, however, are rarely as engrossing as the original first season of episodic developments. And for the same reason, I, for one, am a tad sceptical about watching successive seasons with as much enthusiasm as I am for the preceding ones. Unless it is ‘Made In Heaven’.
Made in Heaven Season 2
This series is a compelling watch and though there isn’t anything spectacularly novel about its storyline, the production values, immaculate writing and superb acting by the entire cast makes it riveting. It represents what present-day India is all about. Conservative on the one hand and modern in many ways with progressive mindsets of traditional people who face conflicting ideas to deal with at every step.

The new character on Made In Heaven Season 2, played by Mona Singh, is a standout within the team and also in the show as a whole. An independent, proud woman who works in finance is called upon by her husband to help Made in Heaven as their new auditor. At first, she seems quite high-strung and very nosy because that’s what her job demands, but as the show progresses, we see her layers peel away one by one. While she appears to have it all sorted out and is really good at her job, she’s also got a lot on her mind.

The first season of the Indian series Made In Heaven took the world by storm because of its lavish representation of Indian weddings combined with its social messaging about society in general. The show targets Delhi, considering it’s the home base for the wedding planners Tara and Karan, whose wedding company is the namesake of the series. Back in 2019, the show was both entertaining and noteworthy for far more than just the glamor of the weddings it depicted. Made In Heaven follows the lives of these two best friends who have started this wedding planning company. Apart from showing us how hard the work really is, it also expands to their personal lives and each of their own individual issues. Four years later, it’s hard to remember the little details, but the show takes you right back to the heart of it all without any trouble. While some...

Made In Heaven , Season 2(Prime Video, 7 Episodes)
Four years after Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti whipped up a foamy but powerful series on two wedding planners, one on the verge of a divorce, the other happily gay. The entire cast of emotionally compromised characters is back, this time doing nothing that we haven’t already seen them doing.
First, the comfort of the familiar. Adil Khanna is still cheating on his wife, Jaspreet ‘Jazz’ Kaur is still stealing fucks from a ground level worker. Tara Khanna is still grey. And yes, Arjun Mathur is still gay.
So how to spice up the status quo?
The new characters are interesting only if you examine their underbelly to see how stylishly they break the rules. Trinetra Haldar, a real-life trans-gender joins the cast as Meher, who we are led to believe, was a part of the Made-in-Heavan (wouldn’t Made-in-Havan be more germane to the theme?...

She said: “The reason we took a lot of time to come up with season 2 is because we were pushing the envelope with regards to the show’s writing. Crafting a compelling narrative and characters does take time.

The trailer for the second season of the International Emmy nominated show, ‘Made in Heaven’, which was unveiled on Tuesday promises riveting storytelling laced with grandeur, drama, dark secrets, and the societal problems that cut across the spectrum and class.
The trailer was launched at a five star property in Mumbai’s Santa Cruz area and saw a heartfelt performance by the band Bombay Brass on the beautifully decorated set ahead of its launch.
The trailer begins on an aesthetic note with all things beautiful and elite, bringing a bit of nostalgia from the Zoya Akhtar directorial ‘Dil Dhadakane Do’. It shows the drama in elite circles surrounding big fat weddings.
This time Shobhita and Arjun’s titular wedding planning establishment has new entrants most notably in the form of Mona Singh’s character of the auditor who comes with no filter and puts things as they are without a grain of sugar coating.
