Canceling the show in its prime is one thing, and while it may be hard for voters to understand the logic behind CBS's decision, they have learned to accept the truth. However, all the confusion that the promotion is now causing the beleaguered fandom is something that could have been avoided.
Those who saw the ad for the 10th episode of season 14 may have expected it to be the final episode of the season, as well as the entire series. But will there be a Season 15? And when will Blue Bloods end? Here's what we know so far.
Is Blue Bloods Renewed for Season 15?
The order in which Blue Bloods will end the series is quite confusing for most people. While some people believe that the show will end with the 10th episode of the 14th season on May 17th, others think that there will be the 15th season...

The good news is that Blue Bloods is all set for an exciting season midseason finale.
CBS is billing the eight episodes airing in the fall as the second half of Season 14, though Tom Selleck said in an interview that he considers them a shortened Season 15 that he hopes will be extended til May, and promos are calling this the season finale.
Either way, this final episode before the summer hiatus promises the action, heart, and family drama that keeps viewers coming back year after year. But will the knowledge that there are only eight episodes left ruin the experience?
The last few episodes leading up to the end of a series are always bittersweet. The higher the quality, the harder it is to accept that the series is almost over.
That's especially true for Blue Bloods, which has a passionate fanbase that is angry about the cancelation.

“As Vladimir Putin continues his gritty reboot of the Soviet Union, he’s getting a surprising amount of help from the party once led by Reagan,” the program’s synopsis explains. “Jordan Klepper speaks to foreign affairs experts, possible Russian assets, and probably Russian recording devices to find out whether Republicans have become the Kremlin’s useful idiots.”
One of those guests will be former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton, who is shown sitting down with Klepper in a trailer for the special.

In interviews Tom Selleck has repeatedly said that despite the fact that he was a movie fan, he never dreamed of becoming an actor. It is known that in his teenage years the future actor devoted himself entirely to sports – basketball and athletics.
Tom Selleck Couldn't Even Dream of Becoming an Actor
Tom went to Los Angeles Valley College to live with his family and not spend extra money. During his junior year, Selleck transferred to the University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship.
One of his teachers advised him to try his hand at acting, so Tom dropped out of college his senior year and threw himself into studying the basics of acting. At the time, he was also working as a model, which is how he got noticed.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 9, “Two of a Kind.”] Blue Bloods is one episode away from its Season 14 midseason finale, and the Friday, May 10, episode opted to end on a happy note with the Reagan family ahead of its upcoming break. The main plot of the episode focused on Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) son, Sean (Andrew Terraciano), who was robbed on his college campus. Danny was shocked to find out about the burglary (the assailant stole Sean’s backpack containing his wallet and laptop) at work instead of directly from his son. Sean was scared to admit that the guy got away instead of fending him off himself like his family of cops might. Naturally, Danny wanted his son protected, so he reminded him that stolen items are better than personal injury — or worse. Sean wanted to be a hero like his family members. When he witnessed a classmate being attacked...

September 2024 will mark 14 full years since Blue Bloods premiered on CBS, so long that it's hard to imagine television without the show. However, much to the shock of fans and cast alike, CBS has not renewed the show for at least one more season.
It was known that the end of the Reagan story was imminent when the cast and crew agreed to take pay cuts for the sake of a Season 14 renewal but given the network's recent decision to reverse its cancellation of S.W.A.T., the determination to end Blue Bloods as soon as possible is causing no small amount of regret and resentment.
But alas, all things must come to an end, and despite our pleas, the police family drama is coming to an end, and so we must morally prepare ourselves for it. Fortunately, we still have time, because there are ten episodes ahead of us, two of...

It's always hard to say goodbye to shows that have been with us for over a decade. We literally become friends with the characters and love them as if they were family.
That's why it hit so hard when CBS announced that one of the longest-running police procedurals would be canceled after 14 years on the air.
Of course we are talking about Blue Bloods, a legendary show that premiered in 2010 and made the viewers fall in love with it. At the center of the story is the Reagan family with Tom Selleck’s Frank, the police commissioner of New York, being the head of it.
“My mother will probably sell the tv now. First Criminal Minds now this. The cancellation of an action packed formulated procedural dramas like this is a bridge too far. Not enough NCIS, FBI and Chicago to fill that void,” Redditor VeryLowIQIndividual said.

Is Jamie about to ruin his career?
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 9 spoilers have him on the hotseat with Frank after a public fistfight with Joe Hill.
Both these guys should know better, but Jamie has more to lose, and neither one should be happy to land in Frank's office over something like this.
There has never been much love lost between Jaime and Joe, but Jamie is not usually the stereotypical macho cop who settles everything with his fists.
Still, Joe's pissed him off pretty badly in the past, and in a weird way, the guys beating each other up signals that Jamie sees Joe as a family -- he's treating his nephew like an annoying little brother.
Jamie Has a Lot To Lose
Jamie's been rising through the ranks since he reversed course about becoming a sergeant. He runs patrols and works in the Field Intelligence Office now.

We are still dealing with the incredibly disappointing news that CBS has decided to cancel Blue Bloods for Season 14. Add to that the fact that the network has renewed another police procedural, S.W.A.T., after already announcing its cancellation, and the move seems completely unfair.
But unfortunately, the CBS execs are not even influenced by the pleas and demands of the cast and crew, as well as the viewers themselves, whose petition to save the show on Change.org has already gathered over 17,000 signatures.
Nevertheless, all this shows how much the audience's interest in the show has not waned, almost 14 years after its debut in 2010. But we should prepare ourselves for the fact that the story of the Irish Catholic Reagan family, long involved in law enforcement in New York City, will come to an end this December.
The main appeal of Blue Bloods is far from police investigations and ethical debates.

For the better part of the last decade and more, Blue Bloods has been enticing viewers with its engaging storyline and characters who come from a multi-generational family of cops. Focusing on the lives of the Reagan family, each character has their own unique strength and weakness to face as they battle the challenges associated with being a police officer, giving the drama an added edge over the plethora of other police-based TV shows.

Tom Selleck hopes CBS reverses its decision to cancel Blue Bloods and that viewers will be able to continue watching the series beyond its 14 seasons.

"Star Trek: Voyager" entered its early stages of production in 1993. Meanwhile, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" was filming its seventh and final season, and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" was working on its second. 1993 was an optimistic time in the U.S. The Gulf War had wrapped, Bill Clinton had been elected president, and the economy was booming. Yes, there were certainly still massive problems with the country, but for a brief span, it felt like the nation was at peace.
Of course, one only needs to look at the pop media of the 1990s to see how much angst there still was in the lurking in hearts of the people. '90s pop music often described the injustices of a racist police state, or how much people felt marginalized and dismissed. '90s media was also self-reflexive, pointing out that the old-world tropes and genres no longer worked. Deconstruction was necessary.

If you watch enough procedural dramas, you might believe that every partnership leads to romance. It happened to Richard Castle and Kate Beckett on Castle, Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan on Bones, and even Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon on The Mentalist. A slow-burning romance always makes for a good storyline.
CBS' Blue Bloods, which is now leading viewers to say goodbye to the Reagan family and everyone close to them, is no exception. Jamie Reagan and his wife, Eddie Janko, started out as business partners and ended up as a family. As good as their story was, fans don't want to see a rip-off.

Tom Selleck may have warned CBS earlier this year that there are an “awful lot of people” who aren’t ready to say goodbye to Blue Bloods, but there are no plans to extend the police procedural beyond its 14th and final season.
During a press conference Thursday to discuss the fall schedule, Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach conceded that while they will miss the series at CBS, the drama will still wrap after the second half airs this fall.
The first half of Blue Bloods‘ 14th season kicked off February 16. The second half of the season will return in October.

There is a family that has been in the police force for three generations. The grandfather is a former commissioner, the father is the current one, the eldest son is already a detective, the only daughter in the family is the only exception and works as a lawyer. And the youngest son has just joined the police force after graduating from the academy.
Thus begins the plot of Blue Bloods, perhaps the most important police drama of the decade. Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 8 spoilers promise danger for Danny and Baez, thanks to an old enemy.
This will likely bring on the suspense, but will it also finally push their relationship over the line from friendship to something else?
Baez and Danny's relationship has divided the fandom. People either ship them or hate the idea of anything but a close friendship and work partnership.
Still, with Blue Bloods getting close to its midseason finale (the rest of the final season will air in the fall), the evolution of this relationship would get fans talking!

According to spoilers, serial killer Sam Evans gets out of prison early. Evans targeted Baez and her daughter on Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 20, seeking revenge because Baez had put him away 20 years earlier.
It seems unrealistic that he'd be released from prison only a year later. His case should first be going...

Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be 2024’s Cod title and will release later in the year. Although we are yet to see any footage or even official stills from the upcoming Fps, we already know which war Treyarch is throwing players into. This has been common knowledge amongst the fan community for a while now thanks to multiple sources familiar with Activision’s plans corroborating the info.
For those who may not be aware, the Gulf War began in 1990 before ending just a year later in 1991 and consisted of two phases: Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. These operations, along with the decision to go to war itself, were spearheaded by the US, whom established a 42-country coalition to assist in the aforementioned large scale military operations. This is where things get murky.
Will Black Ops Gulf War Commit to Showing the Shady, Manipulative Tactics of the US Government?...

10. Only the Reagans Work in Law Enforcement
From how often (read: all the time) Danny, Erin, and Jamie’s cases intersect, you’d guess that apart from the Reagans, there aren’t any other law enforcement professionals in the entirety of New York City. If there’s a case, it just goes straight to the Reagans — and we’re not even talking about another problem that implies… Yet.
9. Conflict of Interests Legally Doesn’t Exist
Building upon the previous point… Erin and Jack are always opposing each other in court despite being ex-wife and husband. Danny barges into Erin’s office pleading with her to give him a warrant despite their being siblings. Blue Bloods once looked at the concept of “conflict of interests” and threw it away because it was plain boring.

One of the most overexposed classic rock songs ever is Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” — and yet, some fans miss its meaning. Jon Bon Jovi revealed the tune was inspired by one of the defining political ideas of the 1980s. On top of that, “Livin’ on a Prayer” was influenced by the singer’s romantic life.
How Ronald Reagan inspired Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’
On the surface, “Livin’ on a Prayer” is a song about a couple trying to make a life for themselves while they don’t have much money. It’s easy to understand the tune as a simple self-empowerment anthem. However, Jon Bon Jovi himself connected it to the political milieu of the 1980s.
The BBC reports that the singer said “Livin’ on a Prayer” was about the economic policies of President Ronald Reagan. “I wrote that song during the Reagan era...

On April 11, CBS saved S.W.A.T. from cancellation, for the second time no less.
This reprieve came after three characters had already been written out this season. And additional exits may be coming, as it was hinted that Commander Hicks might be departing to take care of his ailing lover on S.W.A.T. Season 7 Episode 9.
So, who exactly will be in the 20 Squad returning for S.W.A.T. Season 8? Hondo, Powell, the new guy who replaced Street, and who else?
Ah, well, that's a problem for the series' showrunner and writers this summer. At least salaries for lesser-known actors should be less of a bite on the budget.
One side effect of this surprise rescue of S.W.A.T. is that Blue Bloods fans want their show, now in its 14th and supposedly final season, saved as well.
First off, let's remember it's a bad time to be a scripted network series. Just ask fans of Station 19, The Good Doctor,...

Recently, CBS viewers were faced with an update that was, depending on the context, either incredibly disappointing or incredibly uplifting. In early April 2024, it was announced that the network had decided to reverse its decision to end S.W.A.T., starring Shemar Moore, after seven seasons. Instead, there will be at least one more season of the police procedural. So why is the update disappointing, you ask?
Well, at the very least, because despite its popularity, Blue Bloods, unlike S.W.A.T., has not been renewed and is therefore slowly coming to an end.
For nearly 14 years, Blue Bloods has been a staple of Friday night entertainment for many American households. However, the news that the iconic cop drama about the Reagan family will soon be cancelled is also disheartening because the writers may not be able to keep up with such a tight deadline to provide each character and storyline with a proper ending.

Blue Bloods latest hiatus is short. After a week-long preemption, the Reagans will be back with what appears to be one of their most intriguing plots.
So far, CBS is short on details for Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 7. What little has been released suggests that Danny and Baez have a big case that might involve the entire Reagan family.
With three episodes before the summer hiatus, will this case move the Reagans toward an exciting cliffhanger?
What little we know so far involves a serial killer targeting people in the hospital.
The promo video focuses on this case, with Danny and Baez talking to hospital staff about a string of mysterious deaths.
The partners talk with healthcare providers, one of whom says that there's something suspicious about all these deaths, and it seems that Anthony and Jamie are both involved in dangerous situations that may or may not be related.

Barry Sonnenfeld's 1991 film adaptation of "The Addams Family" came out right when pop Goth fashion was hitting the mainstream. Goth culture, of course, first evolved in England during the rise of bands like Siouxsie & the Banshees, Bauhaus, and The Cure, and Goth characters started appearing in American horror movies in the mid-1980s. One of the first mainstream Gothic film icons of the time was probably Lydia Deetz, the character played by Winona Ryder in Tim Burton's 1988 film "Beetlejuice." After that, '90s teens began to affect a whimsical adoration of the macabre, and Tim Burton's films exploded in popularity. In fact, his 1989 rendition of "Batman" owes more to Goth culture than to comic books.
"The Addams Family," based on the 1960s sitcom and the comic strips by Charles Addams, was eaten up by a Goth-loving public. Audiences were ready to reject old-world, Reagan-era squareness and...

The Blue Bloods Cancellation Is Still Infuriating. Will Fans Be Consoled by a Satisfying Conclusion?
The time we've been dreading is almost here, Blue Bloods fans. The end of the Reagan dynasty.
Cancel culture is real, and it's taken over the film industry. While old shows are getting reboots and remakes, our long-term favorites are getting kicked to the curb.
Sadly, we're about to see another great show bite the bullet. As if it wasn't difficult enough for fanatics to say goodbye to characters who have been with us for seasons, like Swat, Station 19, and The Good Doctor, there's more.
And this time, it hits close to home.
The Blue Bloods series has given us a semblance of family, of a system where the good guys win, justice prevails, and real issues don't just matter -- they're addressed and solved.
It has stood out as a beacon of hope for a better future while incorporating real-world scenarios. The characters depict everything we admire and...

Madonna‘s had an impressive array of No. 1 songs, but she’s also had something rarer: an impressive array of No. 2 songs. Some of her defining hits just missed the top spot. Here’s a nostalgic look back at some of the Queen Pop’s best musical (and music video) moments.
1. ‘Material Girl’
Considering “Material Girl”‘s great new wave beat and iconic music video inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, it would have been a hit regardless of its lyrics. The song is a cute satire of Reagan-era values that’s light enough to be taken at face value. Because some listeners did take it at face value, the song has been used to paint Madonna as shallow and greedy.
The track hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. While the charts are never fair, that placement feels like a real insult. After all, what song...

The 1983 classic Risky Business is getting the Criterion Collection treatment with an upcoming 4K Uhd and Blu-ray release – and the list of special features reveals that this release will feature both the theatrical cut of the film as well as writer/director Paul Brickman’s director’s cut, which has the original, darker ending. That ending was available as a bonus feature on a previous Blu-ray release of Risky Business, but these Criterion discs will be the first to actually have a full, official “director’s cut” of the film on them.

Across the 275 episodes of Blue Bloods that have aired on CBS since it first premiered back in 2010, there’s one thing that fans can agree on: we all want Detective Danny Reagan to be happy and in love. Could there be a bit of romance on the horizon for Donnie Wahlberg‘s character in Season 14? All signs point to yes! It’s been seven years since the tragic death of Danny Reagan’s wife, Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson). Now that the show is coming to an end, fans speculate that the NYPD Detective might end up with someone close to him, like his partner Det. Maria Baez (played by Marisa Ramirez). Having worked alongside him since 2013, many people think it’s about time the two come together. And it seems like Wahlberg himself might also want to see Reagan and Baez start a relationship, too. The smug, arrogant Comic Book Guy (Hank Azaria), proprietor of the Android's Dungeon, first appeared in the "The Simpsons" episode "Three Men and a Comic Book". In the episode, he sold a rare and expensive copy of "Radioactive Man" #1 to the young collectors Bart (Nancy Cartwright), Milhouse (Pamela Hayden), and Martin (Russi Taylor). The comic cost $100 -- a fortune to the three young boys -- and they had to pool their money to make the sacred purchase.
The trio, however, never decided who would serve as the comic book's official caretaker, and they immediately became suspicious that one of them was angling to steal it from the other two. A "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" drama slowly unfolds. The Comic Book Guy, having seen the boys' folly beforehand, became a Mephistophelean figure, cackling at his customers' hubris.

John Carpenter's 1992 film "Memoirs of an Invisible Man" was a departure for the director. Throughout the 1980s, Carpenter directed many notable genre films that affected a direct and guileless style that roped in many fans and critics. His 1980s "hot streak" included "Escape from New York," "The Thing," "Christine," "Starman," and "Big Trouble in Little China." Although his 1987 film "Prince of Darkness" was nonsensical, it has many defenders, and his 1988 film "They Live" is now considered a seminal anti-establishment punk-rock text of the Reagan era.
That streak seems to have ended with "Memoirs," however. Although the film is slick, entertaining, and boasts some excellent special effects, many Carpenter fans felt a little off-put by the director's attempts to helm a comedic Chevy Chase vehicle. In "Memoirs," Chase plays a stock market guy who is accidentally exposed to an invisibility experiment. The film follows his travails as he adjusts to his lack of opacity,...

A middle schooler had Erin questioning everything, but was Erin right to feel guilty?
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 6 focused on the difference between the letter of the law and its intended spirit, with Frank and Erin facing potential miscarriages of justice.
Meanwhile, Danny and Baez solved one of their most tragic cases with the help of a face from Baez's past—and there was no real conflict between the cops.
When Frank and Erin's cases intersect, it's usually because they're butting heads. The Da office sometimes adopts policies that conflict with what Frank is trying to do for the cops, and neither father nor daughter will give an inch.

The latest episode of "X-Men '97," called "Motendo/Lifedeath, Part 1," features the return of Mojo, a longtime X-Men villain who made his debut in "Longshot" #3, published in November of 1985. Mojo was a horrible, mutilated cybernetic monster with robotic spidery legs and a series of mechanical tubes sprouting from his body. He ruled a dimension called the Mojoverse, and oversaw one of the realm's most popular TV shows, "Mojovision," a gladiatorial show wherein superpowered beings from across multiple dimensions would be forced to fight to the death. Mojo lived for ratings and only cared about watching his numbers increase. He was modeled after the shallow TV executives and schmoozing moneymen who oversee most creative efforts in Hollywood.
Mojo made a memorable appearance in two episodes of "X-Men: The Animated Series" wherein he was enthusiastically played by Canadian voice actor Peter Wildman. In "Mojovision", he snarled and cackled as he forced the...

You didn't think Jamie would stay home, did you?
After his last dangerous assignment, he took a break to check out Henry's podcast opportunity, but he's back on the job on Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 5.
This time, he's not undercover, but his mission may not be any less dangerous.
Blue Bloods has focused intensely on Jamie's missions during Season 14. For most of the season, he's been working undercover to bust a sex trafficking ring while Eddie and the rest of the family tried not to worry about him.
Now he's embarking on another mission that would make a perfect crossover with Law & Order: Organized Crime if only both shows were on the same network!
According to spoilers, Jamie will be working on busting a drug trafficking ring that involves rival gangs. It doesn't get much more dangerous than that!
Jamie Could Get Caught in the Crossfire

“Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy War on Democracy” is the scariest film I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a documentary that explores the rise of Christian Nationalism, and much of what it shows you, about the mutation of the Christian Right into a movement that’s openly abandoned any loyalty to democracy, has been covered in the mass media in recent years. But the film’s directors, Stephen Ujlaki and Chris Jones, go deep into the roots of this movement, and what’s new and disquieting is how the current presidential race changes everything. Viewed against the looming possibility of Donald Trump’s re-election (a scenario that most liberals I know believe is unlikely; I think they may be seriously deluded), the rise of Christian Nationalism takes on a whole new meaning.
In 2017, Trump, once he took the reins of power, was constrained — by the other branches of government,...
