- TriviaFrench athlete. Olympic champion of 400m in 1992 and 1996 (also Olympic Record in 1996), and of 200m in 1996. World champion of 400m in 1991 and 1995, she came 4th of 200m and 4x100m in 1993. European Champion of 400m and of 4x400m in 1994 and bronze medal of 400m in 1990. Silver medal for 100m, 200m, and 4 x 100m at the European Cup in 1993. French Champion of 400m in 1988, 400m Hurdles in 1989, 200m in 1989 and 1992, and 100m in 1991. She beat 16 National French Records in her career and in 2004, she still holds National French Records in 400m, indoor 400m, 200m and 400m Hurdles. She officially retired in 2004 after her sad 2000 Olympic Games "escape case" and all its consequences. She then became a consultant on French TV.
