Comedy writer and performer John Dredge is proud to announce that the sixth series of The John Dredge Nothing To Do With Anything Show, his absurdist podcast, will be available to stream and download courtesy of British Comedy Guide from 6pm UK time each Monday from May 20th. An expanded radio version of the series is set for broadcast on Resonance FM later in the year.
The acclaimed show returns with six all-new half-hour episodes featuring a mix of regular and new items and characters, intertwined with surreal one-off sketches and spoofs, and seasoned with a liberal sprinkling of strange sound effects.
Appearing alongside John is a large ensemble cast including Greg Haiste, Anil Desai, Katy Slater (The Milligan Papers), the show’s ‘Voice of Sanity’ Max Dowler, and its co-writer/producer Richard Cray.

This April protect your DNA. When a lowly postman is inducted into a top-secret superhuman DNA program at a research facility, it's revealed that he'll be able to receive, control and send information based on the senses of others. Described as "David Cronenberg meets Tenet", though this trailer doesn't really have that kind of vibe. Sensation stars Eugene Simon (seen in "Game of Thrones"), Emily Wyatt, Jennifer Martin, Alastair G. Cumming, Anil Desai, and Bethan Wright. BBC Asian Network has announced they will be building on their successful comedy offering with a night celebrating the cream of Asian comedy across the UK and beyond.
On Friday 7 February in London, the station’s Breakfast show presenter, Tommy Sandhu hosts an exciting line-up of performers including home-grown rising stars like Abdullah Afzal (Citizen Khan) who makes his stand-up debut; the master of “twerking” Mawaan Rizwan; BBC New Comedy finalist Tez Ilyas, impressionist Anil Desai and critically acclaimed Romesh Ranganathan.
The night will also include performances by two international female comics – viral sensation IISuperwomanII from Canada and Aditi Mittal – one of Mumbai’s top new comics.

The BBC Asian Network will be broadcasting from the Edinburgh Festivals, one of the largest arts festival in the world, for the first time and will be taking to the airwaves for the week with breakfast favourite Tommy Sandhu at 6am from Monday 12th August.
BBC Asian Network is currently riding high, after recording record Rajar figures. The station now reaches an average of 587,000 listeners a week.
The network has an exciting line-up of music and comedy throughout the week like internet phenomenon Humza Arshad Aka Humza Badman, Bhangra producers Tigerstyle and a big screen showing of hit Bollywood film Om Shanti Om to mark the 100 year anniversary of Indian cinema.
