His career began in theater at 15, when the high school drama teacher caught him joking around in the hallway with lines from Julius Ceasar and asked to him to audition for the Spring play, which began his long love affair with performing. After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and studying at Trinity College's Beckett Center for Drama in Dublin, Ireland he performed professionally. He is the grandson of Jospephine Hemenway, an actress and director who was instrumental in creating the famed Studio Arena theater in Buffalo, New York. Played NCAA tennis in college and is a huge fan of dance, travel, and Fleetwood Mac.
