The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, aired on Sunday evening and now we have the list of winners (in red) and nominees from the event. Check it out below and let us know if you agree with the results. "Breaking Bad" took home the award in the best drama series, beating such shows as "Downton Abbey," "Game of Thrones," "Homeland," House of Cards" and "Mad Men." But the biggest surprise of the evening was that "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston didn't win for best actor in a drama series. That award went to Jeff Daniels for "The Newsroom." Claire Danes won for best actress in a drama series for her work on "Homeland." The actress won the same award last year. And this year marks the first time a show not airing on television has received nominations. That show is "House of Cards," which is exclusive to Netflix.

Imagine a dramatic hero who stands no chance of being kissed "unless it was by a blind girl" and of whom it is said, by an adoptive aunt, "you'd see nicer eyes on a goat". Daniel Radcliffe is not the first name that would leap to mind in the casting of such a role. But he is the undoubted star of Michael Grandage's revival of Martin McDonagh's 1997 play and proves, as he did in Equus, that he is a fine stage actor with a gift for playing social outsiders.
Radcliffe is the eponymous hero, a disabled 17-year-old orphan named Billy Claven, of McDonagh's ingenious play. Dejected and generally derided, the bookish Billy is brought up by his "aunties" on the isle of Inishmaan. But the dullness of daily life is suddenly relieved when in 1934 Hollywood film-maker Robert Flaherty descends on a neighbouring isle to make...

We've all watched those "Most Interesting Man In the World" commercials, but just how did he become so interesting? Part of it may have been playing a red shirt on Star Trek and not getting killed in the episode.
A nuclear submarine collided with an Aegis destroyer off the east coast of the United States. The extent of the damage isn't known, but both ships returned to port under their own power.
Extreme homophobe Rep. Allen West is running an ad claiming his opponent Patrick Murphy voted to cut $700 billion from Medicare. The major problem with this is that Murphy has never been elected to Congress, and so hasn't voted on anything yet. This is where we are with politics.

San Diego -- The news of Amy Winehouse's tragic death continued to shock the world Saturday (July 23), with many of the 27-year-old's celebrity fans taking to Twitter and Facebook to express their sadness in learning of the troubled singer's passing. "Glee" cast members Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr. and Dot Marie Jones joined in the thousands of Winehouse mourners devastated by the loss.
"She's paved the way for so many artists, so at least every artist can pay homage to her in some way," Ushkowitz told MTV News at Comic-Con 2011. "Hopefully they will," she said, adding, "It's just so tragic: She was so young and so talented."
Criss said, "She definitely brought back a lot of soul to mainstream, and it's really unfortunate to see her go,...

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Nominations were announced bright and early today in Los Angeles by Joshua Jackson and Melissa McCarthy. Looking through the nominations, there was plenty of good and plenty of bad.
Since I am a mostly positive person, let’s start with the positives. While not nabbing a nomination for Best Drama Series, Justified, Sound on Sight’s favorite show of the year, racked up acting nominations in almost every single eligible category including Timothy Olyphant (Best Actor in a Drama), Margo Martindale (Best Supporting Actress in a Drama), Walton Goggins (Best Supporting Actor in a Drama), and Jeremy Davies (Best Guest Actor in a Drama). All are deserved, especially Martindale, whose frightening performance as Bennett matriarch Mags was the best on television this year. Olyphant is overdue for an nomination, being snubbed for both Deadwood and Damages, so it’s nice to see him get recognition for...
