Elaine wrote and directed the short film, MY MOTHER, (starring Susannah Harker & Georgia Groome), as well as the 20 minute short film, GASLIGHTING (starring Stephen Graham & Hannah Walters). GASLIGHTING was shot for an online child abuse awareness campaign. It has had over 500,000 online views to date, and over sixty 5 star survivor reviews. The GASLIGHTING campaign ambassadors include Mike Leigh and Clint Mansell, among many others. BEING SHAME is Elaine's first feature length film as writer/director and her second social impact film produced by Impart Pictures.
Elaine has been lead producer on three feature films, GYPO (starring Paul McGann), RUBY BLUE (starring Bob Hoskins) and THE CALLING (starring Brenda Blethyn). After producing three feature films and a number of short films she became Vice President of Productions at Umedia, where she worked on a vast slate of feature films, including THE CORRESPONDENCE (starring Jeremy Irons). She has won many festival awards, including a BRITISH INDEPENDENT FILM AWARD for Achievement in Production.
FESTIVALS & AWARDS: MY MOTHER won many film festival awards including "Best Short Film" at the London Independent Film Festival, "Best Director" at Euroshorts Film Festival, "Special Jury Mention" at the A Corto di Donne, Busho and Houston International Film Festivals. GYPO, her first feature as producer, screened in many festivals around the world, including Edinburgh International Film Festival and Dublin International Film Festival. GYPO won the prestigious "Outstanding Achievement in Production" Award at the 2005 British Independent Film Awards and "Best Feature" at the Frameline Film Festival, as well as the numerous cast awards internationally. GYPO was sold worldwide, and was distributed in the UK by Lionsgate. Elaine's second feature, RUBY BLUE, was critically acclaimed and won the "Grand Jury Prize" at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival, "Best Actor" at the Oxford International Film Festival and "Best British Feature Film" at the London Independent Film Festival. Her third production THE CALLING, premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival and Dinard Film Festival.
Elaine has been selected on various high profile talent initiatives, including Guiding Lights and Cine-Euro. She was the British selected EFP "Producer on the Move" in Cannes in 2008.
