As the Boy King of Twitter, Justin Bieber has no shortage of online support from his fans. Thanks to their devoted retweets and hashtag campaigns, Bieber now drives 3 percent of Twitter traffic.
Most people afflicted with Bieber Fever may only get close to their beloved pop star through his RTs, which Justin often posts in response to fan tweets lamenting that he probably would never retweet them. There is, however, a small group of Twitter users who are lucky enough to get regular responses and face time with the cherubic champ: his entourage.

Willow Smith

Just two days after Willow Smith's kid-friendly club banger "Whip My Hair" leaked online, Jay-z and his petite protégé called in to "On-Air With Ryan Seacrest" to confirm that he had signed her to his Roc Nation label.
Describing Willow's debut as "a hit," Jay-z said on Thursday morning (September 9) that he first heard the track before he knew it had been recorded by a 9-year-old. "I was like, 'Man, that record's a smash.' And then [Roc Nation partner] Jay Brown said, 'She's 9,' and I was like, 'Whoa!' And [then] he was like, 'She's Will and Jada's daughter,' and I was like, 'Whoa!' and it just went from there."

If the early enthusiasm is to be believed, Rihanna may have a threat in 9-year-old Willow Smith. On Tuesday, the pint-size daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith leaked her first single, "Whip My Hair," setting music blogs abuzz with comparisons to the Barbadian R&B star.
With a crazy beat that works on the schoolyard and the dance floor, Willow tells the ladies to snap their heads "back and forth" and whip that hair like a helicopter.
Solange Knowles has co-signed on the track, tweeting, "Willow Smith make me wanna whip some haiiirrr in this house. Ummm kill em girl. Kill em!"
Brandy jumped onboard too. "Ok, these lil Smith kids are Amazing!!" the singer tweeted. "I whip my hair back and forth... Ms Willow is not to be played with!

Chicago -- Day Three is underway at Lollapallooza, and the summer heat is in full bloom. I check the Sunday schedule and see a familiar name, Bat For Lashes, an act introduced to me by a close friend and ex-mtv News online producer, Daniela Capistrano. Daniela had done a piece on a very talented young lady whom she raved about - who had a sound along the lines of an electronic/ ambient Mazzy Star mashed with goth punk icons Souixsie and the Banshees. That's something I could definitely get into.
I wandered through the desert-like grounds here at Grant Park to the Vitaminwater stage to take a look and listen.
When Bat For Lashes, a.k.a. enigmatic singer Natasha Khan, started her set, it was clear that the crowd was stacked with Bat For Lashes fans, not simply curious festival rubberneckers. The relationship between the frontwoman...

It’s no secret that that “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart will be playing rock legend Joan Jett in the upcoming biopic, “The Runaways.”
With the rest of the band’s lineup finally cast, the real Joan Jett has been on the set in a producing role, making sure that the film will stay true to the pioneering girl rockers legacy.
What you might not know is that the rock vet’s label Blackheart Records is home to what could be this generation’s Runaways: Texas trio Girl In A Coma.
The band is excited about Kristen Stewart playing their hero and have some friendly advice for the actress. “If you’re going to play Joan you have to have that stare,” explains drummer Phanie Diaz. “It’s an I-can-see-through-into-your-soul stare. If Kristen has that locked, then she’s on her way.”
Describing themselves as “nerds” and “loners” who read Love & Rockets comics,...

Last night, Sasha Fierce made her triumphant return to the States with a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York. By now you’ve already heard about Beyoncé’s insanely talented, guitar slinging all-female band for this tour, her Brüno-inspired (and more gracefully executed) acrobatics and the appearance by hubby Jay-z during last night’s opening number, “Crazy in Love.”
I know, I know — “Yawn! What else happened?”
Luckily, I’m a fan with an eye for details, so I’ve done my best to extract five highlights you might have missed from over two hours of mind-blowing Beyoncé-ness.
Enjoy!
» The Fierce Fashion: Audiences have French artist and designer Thierry Mugler to thank for the stylish singer’s tour wardrobe. His designs embrace the two personas on stage: Beyoncé’s Bottecelli goddess and the leather-clad glamazon Sasha Fierce. I counted no less than ten costume changes,...

It felt destined to be an uneventful, summer rain-drenched night this past Friday evening in the trendy Village section of Manhattan. But a few strokes before midnight, DJ Herbert Holler strongly advised the staff at Le Poisson Rouge to wrap up sound check, as a throng of Amanda Blank fans were waiting.
“People are outside getting wet, man” he gently prodded.
While the petite Mc wrapped up interviews backstage, DJ Herbert quickly warmed up the crowd with his blend of ’80s top 40, hip-hop, house, rock, Motown and soca rhythms. The turnout was notably eclectic: A middle-aged man in a black suit gyrated on a small stage without much notice, while a preppy couple in Converse pogo’d nearby. Across the club, a group of ladies in almost identical jean skirts and flip flops mouthed lyrics to Naughty by Nature.

Several major acts, including U2, No Doubt, Taylor Swift and the Dave Matthews Band, have already announced they'll offer discounted tickets for their tours this summer — good news to concertgoers during a recession. And now, Beyoncé is following suit: According to a press release from her label, the singer will set aside 2,000 seats for each date on her forthcoming North American tour at a discounted price of $20. The tour is in support of her recent I Am ... Sasha Fierce LP.
After already selling 1,000 tickets per show for the special low price, the last 1,000 discounted seats for each show will be made available to the public on Friday through Ticketmaster (with the exception of the artist's four-night residency at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas).
