Josh Gad has been extremely busy recently, particularly with his YouTube series Reunited Apart - where he brings together famous casts from movies like The Lord of the Rings and Ghostbusters - and the recent release of his film Artemis Fowl. When he's not getting starstruck over actors from his childhood, he's professing his love for his wife, Ida Darvish, on Instagram. The pair first met in 2004, after they were cast as a married couple in the David Ives play All in the Timing, before becoming an actual married couple in 2008. In an interview with i, Josh described their meeting as "one of those things where it was just kismet and we've been together ever since."
The couple have two daughters, Ava, 9, and Isabella, 6, and run a production company called Angry Child. Just like Josh, Ida has a few notable onscreen and voice roles, including multiple characters in the Assassin's Creed video game franchise,...

It’s a tale as old as time. But for the upcoming live-action remake of its 1991 animated classic Beauty and the Beast, Disney is adding a modern twist.
In the April issue of Attitude, director Bill Condon revealed that Beauty and the Beast will feature Disney’s first-ever openly gay character: Gaston’s lovable sidekick, LeFou.
He’s played on-screen by Josh Gad, a Tony nominee recognizable to Disney audiences for voicing Olaf in Frozen. In Beauty and the Beast, the 36-year-old will dig his teeth into LeFou’s new subplot — which includes a crush on his pal Gaston (Fast...

"Only he can unlock the mystery. Only he can stop the unthinkable." Another new fast-paced trailer has debuted online for Ron Howard's adaptation of the other Dan Brown novel, Inferno, once again starring Tom Hanks as symbologist Robert Langdon. We've already seen a couple of different trailers for this movie already, and this new one tries to hype up the excitement of the story even more. The cast includes Felicity Jones as Dr. Sienna Brooks, Langdon's beautiful sidekick in this one, plus Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ana Ularu, and Ida Darvish. As much as I have enjoyed reading the novels, this particular big screen version of Langdon's history-inspired, globe-trotting, solve-the-mystery thriller doesn't seem to be that exciting. Here's to hoping it's much better than it looks, only time will tell. Here's the latest official trailer (+ poster) for Ron Howard's Inferno, direct from Sony's...

"Human lives are at stake, I just want to know that I'm on the right side." Sony has unveiled another full trailer for the new Dan Brown adaptation Inferno, once again directed by Ron Howard, and once again starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. We featured the first trailer a few months ago, but that one was just a teaser, and this sets up more of the story - a thriller taking place in historic cities like Florence and Istanbul. The cast includes Felicity Jones as Dr. Sienna Brooks, Langdon's beautiful sidekick this time, plus Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ana Ularu, Ida Darvish. I kind of do want to see this, I just hope it's a bit better than the last Dan Brown movie. We'll find out later this year. Here's the latest official trailer for Ron Howard's Inferno adaptation, direct from Sony's YouTube:...

"Zobrist created a plague." Sony has debuted the first official teaser + a better international trailer for Ron Howard's adaptation of Dan Brown's Inferno, once again starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. This is the next film in the trilogy also featuring The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, which were directed by Ron Howard starring Tom Hanks. This time he wakes up in Italy and ends up on another crazy adventure involving history. The cast also includes Felicity Jones as Dr. Sienna Brooks, his sidekick this time, plus Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ana Ularu and Ida Darvish. This looks pretty much exactly as you would expect it to, with tons of weird action and lots of history flying at you, and exploding. The teaser is okay, but the international trailer (also below) is much better - watch both. Enjoy. Here's the first official...

Josh Gad is a busy man these days. Right in the middle of preview shows of controversial (but well-reviewed) Broadway muscial The Book of Mormon—Gad stars as mormon Elder Cunningham in the comedy from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone—today he launches his first originally created web series on My Damn Channel. Gigi: Almost American began as a one-off sketch about a clumsy foreigner hacking together some English in headphones while holed up in a bathtub. For Gad and his fellow comedy troupe partners that make up The Lost Nomads (Ty Clancey, Ida Darvish, Tyler Moore and Kevin Larsen) that was all there was to this experimental Gigi character. But when BBC Worldwide execs Dan Tischler and Jane Tranter caught a glimpse of it stashed on the Lost Nomads demo reel, they saw something bigger. Daily Show correspondent Josh Gad is set to star in a new web series from MadAtoms.com called Rent Control, which is being produced by Usr Content for a possible negative pickup by Fox. Gad created the series along with his fellow Lost Nomad comedy troupe members Tyler Moore, Ida Darvish and Tyler Clancey who are also said to be in the series. Filming began today on the series, which has Gad playing an underachieving slacker who's uncle sets him up with a gig as building manager at a decrepit apartment building. (Sounds a bit like the setup of The Super Man.) The quirky supporting characters include a "lecherous gay porn star" who's using his apartment as a porn set, and "a married couple on the verge of a murder-suicide." Interesting.
