Happy Third Day of spring! It's official and I'm so glad we can enjoy and look forward to months of beautiful, warm sunny days. Here are a few of my fashion faves for the season.

When we last spoke with Colton Dixon, he was performing the second show of the American Idols Live tour in Chicago, Il. Now, six months later, we meet again to talk about his upcoming full length debut album titled "A Messenger." The album is stocked with a well-crafted assortment of songs, none of which sound alike, and contains a resounding message of hope and reassurance. It's a carefully selected compilation of original tracks inspired not only by his faith, but by his beloved fans whom he refers to as "family." Complimenting the album's uplifting theme is a solid mix of lyrical ballads, pop-friendly beats, and rhythmic anthems that feature both style and substance. As a devout Christian, this 21 year-old Tennessee native was intent on connecting with his audience and providing something for everyone's musical taste. Add to that an alt/rock vibe and Dixon's signature vocals and you've got a downright inspired debut.

"Wow!" That’s the simplest and best way to sum up the Kings of Ace Pool Party at the National Hotel.
The party delivered on everything you would expect from a trip to Miami Music Week – beautiful weather, beautiful people and big beats combined with a cornucopia of celebrities, DJs and Edm fanatics.
Where do I start? The scheduled acts included the marvelous Nervo sisters, Bassjackers, Quintino, Bobby Burns and Sidney Samson, who brought King of Krunk Lil’ Jon with him to perform their remix of “Mutate.” The party rose to a frenzy when Ultra Fest main stager Afrojack smashed the stage with his Wall Recording’s label-mates, Shermanology, for an energizing rendition of “Can’t Stop Me.” He later shared the stage with R3hab, firing up the crowd with favorites like “Prutataa” and “Sending My Love.”

Nominations for the 2011 American Music Awards have been announced and once again, it seems like it's Adele's world and we're all just living in it.
The British songbird, who has more or less ruled the musical roost in 2011, picked up four nominations, for Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album (for 21), Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, and Artist of the Year. The nominations come not long after she won three Video Music Awards for "Rolling in the Deep", 21's gargantuan first single.
Following Adele is a cluster of artists with three nominations each, including Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and The Band Perry.
The only artists currently scheduled to perform are Katy Perry (possibly her new single "The One That Got Away") and Pitbull (possibly his new single with Chris Brown "International Love"), but look for a flurry of announcements between now and the show's November 20th premiere.

Gazing out upon the vast tapestry of Pajiban creeds and customs, I am certain that this time of year is feted is various ways. Whether you cherish Hannukah, Christmas, Ramadan, Yule, Kwanzaa, Decemberween or -- as my Jehovah's Witness friends call it -- Thursday, the holidays are about one thing: spending time with loved ones. This is usually accomplished in about 14 minutes. Then the rest of the time is spent caustically avoiding speaking to one another, drinking copious amounts of liquored nog, and remembering why you moved across the country and lost everyone's email address and phone numbers in the first place. Much of this awkwardness is spent sitting in some strange smelling house, a plate of half-eaten pie sitting in front of you, staring dully at a television while tuning out the mindless banter of distant aunts and uncles who are trying to figure out "why you aren't a...

SAG and the AMPTP ended their second day of talks at about 10:00 p.m. this evening (Weds.), but will resume tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. for a third, previously unannounced day of talks, said a source. No other info was available on the progress of negotiations, but this is obviously a hopeful sign in a situation that's been largely devoid of them until the last 30 days.
Negotiations had resumed Tuesday, accompanied by dueling protests, one from an organization of below-the-liners calling itself Back to Work, organized largely by camera operators Jon Philion and Andrew Rowlands and cinematographers Ed Gutentag and Bruce McCleery, and the other from Membership First. BtW was urging a deal, while Mf was protesting the likelihood that the talks would result in what they consider an unacceptable deal. There were about 100 protesters in all, reports Variety.
The next day, about 50 Mf protesters showed up, Variety indicates.

Chris Brown stole the show at Sunday's 2008 American Music Awards after scooping three major gongs, trailed by Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Rihanna, who all walked away with double wins at the ceremony.
This Christmas star Brown won Favourite Male Artist in the categories of Pop/Rock and Soul/R+B at the event at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre.
His rumoured girlfriend Rihanna matched his wins - scoring victories in the same categories, for Favourite Female Artist.
The With You hitmaker went on to beat Keys, Lil' Wayne, the Eagles and Coldplay for Artist of the Year - modestly insisting the British band was more worthy of the honour, saying, "I would have gave it to Coldplay. I'm at a loss for words."...

Chris Brown was the big winner at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, surprising himself most of all. "I don't know what to say. I would have given it to Coldplay," said Brown, who won artist of the year, male pop/rock artist and male soul/R&B artist. Kanye West, still sore at losing male rap/hip-hop artist last year, won the trophy this time – then said Lil Wayne deserved it more. "I want to give this award to Wayne," he said. "If it was last year it would have been my award." It was West's second trophy of the night,...
