Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions Presents Quiet Part Loud, A Fictional Horror Podcast with Immersive Audio and Sound Design: "Conservative radio personality Rick Egan (Tracy Letts) lost his platform in the wake of 9/11 for spreading xenophobic rumors surrounding a group of missing Muslim teenagers. Eight years later, a washed-up Rick is slumming it on the convention circuit when a mysterious woman (Christina Hendricks) presents a tantalizing revelation: One of the missing teens is back. This sends Rick on a quest for vindication as he follows a trail of unfathomable events. He is left face to face with the true culprit…The Blank (Taran Killam), a faceless sound parasite that thrives on the air of hatred. Rick receives a Faustian bargain from the mysterious entity and is about to find out exactly how far he will go to claw his way back to the top."

Since making the shift from comedy into horror, Jordan Peele has brought genre stories to the big screen and the small – Get Out, Us, Nope, Candyman, The Twilight Zone, Lovecraft Country, Wendell & Wild, etc. Now he’s out to bring horror directly to people’s ears, as he is executive producing what he hopes will be “the scariest podcast of all time”. That podcast is called Quiet Part Loud, and Variety reports that it is going to launch exclusively on Spotify on Tuesday, November 15. All twelve episodes of the show will be available to listen to on that day.
Produced by Spotify’s Gimlet Media and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, Quiet Part Loud is set before the Trump presidency and centers on

Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac are starring in a new scripted podcast for Spotify.
The pair are leading Case 63, an English-language adaptation of Spotify’s Chilean podcast. The move marks the first time that a podcast series from a non-English speaking market has been adapted into multiple languages.
The series, which launches later this year, follows psychiatrist Eliza Knight (Moore), who records the sessions of an enigmatic patient, registered as Case 63 (Isaac), who claims to be a time traveler. What begins as routine therapeutic sessions, quickly turns into a story that threatens the boundaries of the possible and the real.
Moore and Issac will also exec produce the podcast, which comes from Spotify’s Gimlet, Moore’s production company FortySix and Isaac’s Mad Gene Media. Mimi O’Donnell, who has produced podcasts including Sandra and The Horror of Dolores Roach, exec produces and directs. Katie Pastore produces.

Season 1 of “Homecoming” is still the gold standard for podcast-to-tv adaptations. Next week, people involved on both sides of that process will try to capture the magic in audio form.
Below, you can listen to the trailer for the latest Spotify and Gimlet drama, “The Final Chapters of Richard Brown Winters,” starring Catherine Keener, Parker Posey, Bobby Cannavale, Sam Waterston, and Darrell Britt-Gibson. Written by “Homecoming” co-creator Eli Horowitz and “Sandra” writer Kevin Moffett, the new series not only shifts its gaze to a fictional author, it trades in an episodic structure for a feature-length audio tale.
The story follows a young fan (Britt-Gibson) on a quest to confront reclusive writer Richard Brown Winters (Waterston) about why he’s disappeared from the public eye for a decade. When he and a group of fellow enthusiasts travel to Winters’ desert home to extract the truth and push him to finish the...
