Last Week: Sherlock rose like Lazarus from his mock-up grave and we witnessed the life and times of that dead thing on John Watson’s upper lip. Plus, Mary Morstan is adorable and full of secrets.
This week we start off with Lestrade and Donovan’s frustration spiral over what appears to be your classic creepy clown masked crime family. It looks like the pair are about to catch one hell of a break when, beep! It’s your friendly neighborhood Sherlock with a life or death text! Sensing the urgency of the Sherlock Holmes actually asking for help, Lestrade rushes to Baker Street with whatever the British equivalent of the S.W.A.T. team may be.
To be fair, the public skill and social charm that go into giving a best man’s speech at a wedding may constitute more than a minor emergency when it comes to Sherlock.

With two episodes to go, we round-up the remaining question marks in the Broadchurch case. Speculation ahoy...
Spoiler warning: as ITV has kept episodes seven and eight of Broadchurch under wraps, the below contains no actual spoilers, just plenty of speculation on how the ending might unfurl.
At 10pm this evening, we’ll be one hour closer to finding out who killed Danny Latimer. Like those of Nanna Birk Larsen and Laura Palmer before her, young Danny’s murder has preoccupied the minds of a healthy chunk of TV viewers for the past six weeks, keeping us guessing, theorising, and mumbling about poor Vince the Labrador in our sleep.
With just two episodes of the Scandi-inflected small town murder remaining then, let’s put our heads together on the vital answers needed to deduce the identity of Broadchurch’s killer…

With the nostalgia-induced worldwide attractions and Ultimate DVD Collections settling in, one thing has become very clear for fans of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter franchise- the series as we know it is over. Far from letting it all end on a downer, though, we should look ahead to what the Potter lore can do for us in the future, just as Peter Jackson is bringing us new Lotr goodness every Christmas for the next three years!
Our suggestion? The next obvious route for the Potter franchise to go down would undoubtedly be that of the television industry- throughout the course of the seven novels and eight films, there were plenty of untapped storylines that could very well thrive and flourish on the small screen with the faith of a strong studio.
Indeed, it’s hard to think that the cash wouldn’t be there for the taking, especially...

Orlando, Florida — "Harry Potter" fans, you're not the only ones who adore Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and the rest of the Hogwarts gang. The film series' co-stars share your feelings.
When MTV News visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter's celebration of the "Deathly Hallows Part 2" DVD and Blu-ray release, we asked your favorite actors what they miss most about working on the eight-film fantasy epic. The answers we received were unanimous: the "Potter" cast miss one another.
"I miss hanging out with the guys," lamented Oliver Phelps, one-half of the hilarious Weasley twins. "A Harry Potter film isn't like a normal movie. It's stretched out for nine months, it's big-budget ... but we'd all just have fun, though. It's not like...

There's no shortage of fan-favorite characters in the Privet Drive division, from Neville and McGonagall to the Boy Who Lived himself. But perhaps none have surprised us with such an awesome display of early momentum as Dobby the House Elf, who easily defeated Dean Thomas in the first round. But does Dobby have enough tricks up his sleeve to defeat a member of the Order of the Phoenix?...

The first round of the Harry Potter World Cup has drawn to a close, narrowing the playing field down from the original 64 wizards and witches to a smaller pool of 32 heroes and villains. For the most part, the people you expected to move on have moved on — with some notable exceptions, of course — and as we step forward into Round 2 today, I think you'll find that there are some very, very difficult decisions on the horizon.
But before we look forward, let's look back at what happened in the first round. Get the highlights from Round 1 of the Harry Potter World Cup after the jump!
Minor Upsets
Many of the surprises in the World Cup's first round were of the minor variety. The lower-ranked Professor Flitwick charmed enough fans to float past Divination master Professor Trelawney in the Privet Drive division, while Fawkes the phoenix proved that having numerous lives...

Don't pooh-pooh Filius Flitwick! That's just one of the lessons coming into focus little more than 24 hours into the epic showdown we call the "Harry Potter" World Cup.
Though the diminutive master of Charms nabbed just a 10 seed in our monthlong tournament, in which fans have been voting online to choose the greatest character in the fantasy franchise, Professor Flitwick has raced out to a commanding first-round lead over his fellow Hogwarts colleague, and number-seven seed, Sybill Trelawney. But voting in the initial round doesn't close until midnight on Monday, meaning there's more than enough time for Trelawney fans to divine a whole lot of votes in her honor.
Other contests seem less prone to an upset.

Whoever said that the Harry Potter World Cup had to be strictly limited to wizards and witches? It’s the most exciting time of the year… Harry Potter Time!!! I know these geeks are jumping up and down with glee. So, naturally, in celebration of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Pt.1, we are dedicating this weeks top ten to the Magical Creatures in the Harry Potter films.
Top Ten Harry Potter Magical Creatures Honorable Mention: Patronus
Ok, we know that a patronus isn’t really a magical creature, but a rather than a protective spell, and it’s still pretty darn cool.
“A Patronus is a kind of positive force, and for the wizard who can conjure one, it works something like a shield, with the Dementor feeding on it, rather than him. In order for it to work, you need to think of a memory. Not just any memory, a veryhappy memory, a very powerful memory. Allow it to fill you up… lose yourself in it…...

A week shy of its theatrical premiere, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" unleashes two more fresh clips. The two clips pick up different themes, one that comes out via MSN exposes the impending danger Harry and the wizarding world are facing, while the other which gets out courtesy of MTV focuses more on the 'romance in the air' tone.
The MSN clip is called "Handful of People". It gives out a scene inside the Burrows wherein Harry, Mr.Weasley, Tonks and Lupin sit together to talk about how the danger may have penetrated Hogwarts. In the meantime, the MTV clip is titled "Table for Three". It sees Harry, Ron and Hermione witnessing some kissing action between Ginny and Dean Thomas at The Three Broomsticks before professor Horace Slughorn gives two of them a special invitation.

Warner Bros has released a set of articles on Half-Blood Prince, which include plot-related spoilers and numerous cast interviews. This particular feature is on the tangled loved lives of the Hogwarts students, most notably the love triangles between Ron, Lavender, and Hermione and Harry, Ginny, and Dean Thomas. Actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown), and producers David Heyman and David Barron talk on the subject of love at Hogwarts. ---Quote--- As the new year begins at Hogwarts, Dumbledore introduces the students assembled in the Great Hall to returning Potions Professor Horace Slughorn. He also reveals that Severus Snape has finally achieved his long-held ambition to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. One thing that I do love about Warner Bros. is their fascination with movie posters. They love them. Because of their infatuation with the marketing medium, they have become quite good at making them. Take the official one-sheet for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for instance. The poster makes a total of twenty-something for the film. Yes - Twenty-something.

Warner Bros. has just hit us up with yet another new look at Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, a film that is still months away. And I was going to ignore it, to load the video into our player and save the posting for later -- but then I watched this little featurette and it looks really cool. In fact, it dawned on my as I watched it that the effects in these Harry Potter films are generally pretty brilliant. The entire franchise has never gotten more than an apathetic "meh" from me, but as I look back through the list I am compelled to feel more than a little impressed with how good this films have looked. This one is easily the most visually impressive (based on the clips thus far) since Alfonso Cuarón was behind the camera.
