Composers Andy Grush and Taylor Stewart, aka The Newton Brothers, score Stx Entertainment’s supernatural horror thriller, The Bye Bye Man.
The film stars Douglas Smith, Lucien Laviscount, Cressida Bonas and Doug Jones. Directed by Stacy Title and written by Jonathan Penner, “The Bye Bye Man” follows the story of three college students move into an old, off-campus house. They quickly find themselves hunted by a supernatural entity called The Bye Bye Man who may be responsible for possessing various people and causing them to commit killing sprees throughout recent history. The students discover the origins of the Bye Bye Man and find that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don’t say or think his name, because once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control.
Bye Bye Man opens in theatres on January 13, 2016. The soundtrack album featuring the score is available on Sony Classical.

Randy Couture, Dominic Purcell and Vinnie Jones star in the plane thriller Hijacked, directed by Brandon Nutt. Hijacked is your basic straight-to-dvd B action movie with a cast full of stars that never really had their moment to shine. The film also comes with a plot that was probably scribbled down on a napkin some time ago in the 90s and CGI blood that was most likely rendered in Microsoft Paint. Still, underneath all of the cheap production values there lies a movie that is almost watchable, because of its cheesy dialogue, action and story.
Special Agent Paul Ross (Randy Couture) is tracking down a crime lord that leads him to the same plane in which his fiancé is boarding. He boards the plane and shortly after realizes the plane is equipped with a bomb and terrorists, which makes the night a little more frustrating than he had hoped for.

Ufc legend Randy Couture and actor Dominic Purcell star in this latest straight-to-home video airplane actioner Hijacked, directed by Brandon Nutt. The film comes to Blu-Ray and DVD on July 31st, 2012.
We previously posted a trailer and a clip from the film and now we have two more clips featuring our action stars flexing their acting chops, while taking out a few baddies in the process.
I’m not usually one for this grade of film, but occasionally something like Hijacked can provide you with 2 hours of mindless entertainment and nonstop laughter. The acting looks cheesy and over-the-top, while the violence looks painfully rendered in CGI and not all that creative. I’m willing to give this one a shot, but only because Hijacked could become something of an underground classic.
Clip one is titled Cargo Hold and it briefly shows Couture and Purcell as they tussle with a possible rogue agent.

Hijacked
Stars: Randy Couture, Vinnie Jones, Craig Fairbrass, Dominic Purcell, Gina Philips, Tiffany Dupont | Written by Brandon Nutt, Declan O’Brien, Scoop Wasserstein | Directed by Brandon Nutt
The second aeroplane-set film I’ve watched in as many days, Hijacked is, for wont of a better explanation, a quasi-remake of Executive Decision with Vinnie Jones in the Steven Seagal role and Mma star and member of The Expendables, Randy Couture, in the Kurt Russell role. See where this is going?
Tough Us government agent Paul Ross is at the forefront of an international operation to smash a global terrorist organisation and crime syndicate known only as The Tribe, a group notorious for obtaining its funds from the drug trade and illegal arms dealing. When a tip-off as to the whereabouts of the Tribe’s leader turns out to be a set-up that lands Ross in the middle of a bloody firefight...

Randy Couture is taking time off being expendable to become a little not expendable in a new actioner called “Hijacked” for director Brandon Nutt (“The Last Resort”). The film promises to be along the lines of past plane-themed actioners like “Delta Force” and “Executive Decision”, minus Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal dying in Act One and pissing off all the Seagal fans who had no idea that was going to happen heading into the movie. But back to “Hijacked”. No trailer yet, but you can check out the DVD/Blu-ray box art and some stills from the movie below. Special Agent Ross’s (Couture) plans to reconcile with his ex-fiancé are ruined when she boards a private jet that is targeted by hijackers working for the same crime lord he is chasing. With no time to inform his team, Ross wriggles his way aboard the aircraft and risks it all...

After partying hard the night before, Sophia splits from the group to pursue Rob, a handsome young tourist from the States. If I were America Olivo, I'd just stay in the city where it's safe. You may remember her from the Friday the 13th relaunch as the woman in the pre-title sequence who showed us her ample bosom and then got roasted alive in a sleeping bag. Now she's off to a tropical paradise that for her and others may very well prove to be The Last Resort.
