Warcraft is going to easily be one of the most visually stunning films of the year. I also think it will end up being one of the best video game films made so far.
Today we have a new featurette called “The Beginning” with new footage from the film along with interviews with the cast and crew. This featurette is actually the best piece of marketing for the film I've seen so far. There's also a second featurette that focuses on Paula Patton's transformation into the character Garona.
I also included a series of portraits that focus on the CGI characters of the film and the actors who portray them. They highlight the transformation that took place to turn these humans into Orcs for this film.
The effects of the film were done by Ilm, and they did such an incredible job bringing these characters to life. The detail...

Paula Patton plays Garona Halforcen, the half-orc, half-human warrior caught in the middle of the conflict between the invading orcs and warriors of Azeroth. Following promos for Durotan - The Rebel and Anduin Lothar - The Warrior, are you looking forward to the June release or are you still on the fence? Check out the brand new trailer for Warcraft (or, "Warcraft: The Beginning") below. This is probably the best look we've had of the fantasy adventure flick yet... though the seriously questionable music choices continue. These last two Warcraft posters spotlight a couple of characters that have been largely absent from the movie's promotion thus far: Medivh and Khadgar. Both of these guys are Mages that begin fighting for the alliance, but one may have some hidden motives - if the movie follows the story laid out in the video games, that is. No spoilers here, so ask a Wow fan in the comments section to fill you in if you're curious! Director Duncan Jones had a Warcraft movie presentation at Blizzcon yesterday, and during the panel he revealed the characters that all of the lead actors are playing. Up until now the identities of the characters that the actors would be playing have been kept under wraps. We were also sent some details on each of those characters that will be introduced in the film.
Below you will find a list of characters that have been divided between ‘Alliance’ and ‘Horde,’ which are the two opposing armies in the franchise. I also included photos of the actors from the presentation, thanks to /Film.

Some annual traditions are more exciting than others: the World Series is usually more exciting than the yearly visit to Grandma’s, taking a pet to the vet is trumped by Fourth of July fireworks fights, and the release of the newest installment of Duels of the Planeswalkers is much more enticing than Arbor Day. After last week’s release of the iPad edition of the game, fans can finally get to work on Magic 2015 on Xbox 360, Steam, Android and Kindle.
At this point in time, no release date has been announced for a PlayStation 3 or 4 edition of the game, and the Xbox One version will be available “later this summer.” No reason for their absence has been given by Wizards of the Coast, but chances are if you’re interested at all in the game, you’re the type of person who has at least one of the devices mentioned above.

While there were no casting announcements at the BlizzCon 2013 panel for the Warcraft movie from Universal Pictures. Recently, Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment, commented on the lack of single-player in its upcoming mech-based Fps stating that only a small fraction of gamers would actually see the mode through to competition.

Talking to Gamesindustry, he said "We make these single-player missions that take up all the focus of the studio, that take a huge team six months to make, and players run through it in eight minutes." He continued, "And how many people finish the single-player game? It's a small percentage. It's like, everyone plays through the first level, but...
