The ‘Save Tip’s’ free livestreaming event seeks to raise funds to help the iconic New Orleans venue stay afloat in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The event will stream via Tipitina’s website on Saturday at 9 p.m. Et.

Lore, a grungy rock band that mixes Reed’s mesmerizing vocals with Joamets’ second-nature playing, release their debut single “Surrender” on Tuesday. Todd Nance, founding drummer and 30-year member of the Southern rock jam band Widespread Panic, has died at the age of 57.
The group and Nance’s family confirmed the drummer’s death Wednesday, adding that Nance died in Athens, Georgia, following “sudden and unexpectedly severe complications of a chronic illness.”
