Donald Trump‘s daughter, Ivanka, the former White House advisor, publicly addressed her father’s legal battles for the first time on Thursday afternoon.
The move comes after Trump was convicted on all 34 charges in his criminal hush money trial in New York on Thursday.
Ivanka, who has largely maintained a low profile and avoided commenting on her father’s legal woes, took to her Instagram stories to post a childhood photograph of herself and Trump, accompanied by the caption, “I love you, Dad” and a heart emoji.
This public display of support contrasts with the actions of her brothers, Don Jr. and Eric Trump, who have been more vocal in their defense of their father. The two sons have appeared alongside Trump in court and echoed his claims of a “rigged” prosecution in right-wing media. Ivanka reportedly felt “embarrassed” by the trial and the revelations about her father.

Donald Trump has been found guilty in his Manhattan criminal hush money trial. After five weeks of testimony, a jury has found the former president guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records.
After the verdict was read, Trump called it a “rigged trial” and a “disgrace,” and said that the “real” verdict will be delivered in November when voters pick the next president. Sentencing for Trump will be on July 11.
Over the past five weeks of testimony, the jury heard from a former tabloid publisher, a Hollywood fixer, the former president’s lawyer and a porn star. The former publisher of The National Enquirer, David Pecker, was the first witness and detailed a “catch and kill” scheme to influence the 2016 election that was hatched at a meeting at Trump Tower in August 2015.

Update: The testimony is done in Donald Trump’s hush money trial, and the jurors are off until next Tuesday, but Judge Juan Merchan still found cause this afternoon to call out one of Trump’s lawyers.
Merchan scolded lawyer Emil Bove during a conference on jury instructions for trying to resurrect a defense that the judge rejected during pre-trial motions. Merchan said it was “disingenuous” of Bove to bring the matter up again. It was a moment reminiscent of the judge warning defense lawyer Todd Blanche that he was “losing all credibility” during a gag order hearing in April.
The subject today was “advice of counsel,” in which defendants can lessen or eliminate their guilt by providing evidence that they relied on what their lawyers told them. More than two hours into the negotiation, Bove raised the subject — but apparently under a different name, “involvement of counsel.” The language...

Former President Donald Trump‘s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., visited former Trump adviser Peter Navarro in federal prison. Navarro faces a sentence of four months after he was convicted on two counts of contempt of Congress related to the January 6 investigations.
Navarro failed to provide the necessary information, including documents and testimony, to the former January 6 House committee by evading a congressional subpoena. Navarro claimed that former President Trump had asserted executive privilege to maintain confidentiality. However, no evidence of Trump invoking the privilege was ever presented.
Navarro attempted to appeal his prison sentence twice to the U.S. Supreme Court, once to Chief Justice John Roberts and again to Justice Neil Gorsuch. Both Justices denied his requests. Later, District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Navarro to six months in prison and a fine of $600,000.
Trump Jr. claimed he visited Navarro to show support for “a good man” who was “wrongfully convicted.

Florida GOP chair Evan Power also selected three of Barron’s siblings, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump, to be among the 41 delegates. We always love a good viral marketing campaign, and with Lionsgate gearing up to release The Strangers: Chapter 1 in theaters on May 17, they’re pulling out all the stops this month.
The three masked slashers from the franchise – known as Pinup Girl, Dollface and the Man in the Mask – have been showing up on home security cameras across the country!
Videos and images posted to Tiktok, Twitter, and even Next Door have been documenting the sightings, one of which is a creepy doorbell cam video of a roommate who was allegedly followed home by the masked trio earlier this month. Another video sees them lurking around outside of a gas station, eventually stopping to look directly into the security camera.
The Strangers were also spotted standing outside the Manhattan Criminal Court House, making for “a strange, slightly unsettling scene,” as one Twitter user perfectly described it.

On Sunday, Ivanka Trump was spotted in Mexico at a friend’s wedding with husband Jared Kushner. The daughter of former President Donald Trump posed for a photograph with Kushner wearing a glamorous floor-length strapless red dress with a plunging neckline. Kushner wore a sophisticated black tuxedo.
Ivanka has taken a break from politics. The couple has chosen to focus on their private life rather than the election this year. While Trump endures numerous legal actions, including his current court case for paying Stormy Daniels hush-money, the Trump women haven’t been seen in the courtrooms with the former president.
On Monday, a judge threatened to jail Trump for his tenth violation of a court gag order.

Donald Trump has weighed in, five weeks later, on Jimmy Kimmel’s recent turn as Oscars host — and his rant has Kimmel tempted to emcee the awards show once again.

Update: Jury selection has ended for the day in Donald Trump’s hush money trial, with 11 people so far having gone through an extensive questionnaire. A total of 32 potential jurors were left in the courtroom.
After the prospective jurors left the courtroom, Trump’s attorney Todd Blanche requested that his client be excused from the proceedings on April 25. That’s the day that the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Trump’s claims of immunity from prosecution.
But Merchan rejected the request. “Arguing before the Supreme Court is a big deal, and I can certainly appreciate why your client would want to be there. But a trial in New York Supreme Court … is also a big deal,” he said, per a pool report. “I will see him here next week.”

In fact, many believe that there’s a very good chance that he will start hitting the campaign trail with his father, Donald Trump. And there’s a good reason behind it, too. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Donald Trump knows that his secret weapon is his family. One of the reasons why he won the election back in 2016 is because his children Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump, Jr, and Eric Trump were all very instrumental in doing the media rounds, attending campaign rallies with their father and promoting him as much as possible while also maintaining the family business.

Who is hosting The Daily Show this week?
If you said Jon Stewart you get 25 percent credit. For the other 75 you have to know the name Michael Kosta, because he’s following Stewart’s now-regular Monday night showcase with three nights behind the Tds desk this week, a role Kosta has been handling with some frequency in recent months.
Kosta is the self-described “big, straight, white male, standing there looking solid, doesn’t look too bad in a suit,” whose first piece on air for Tds was going around New York City encountering people who mistook him for Donald Trump Jr., as various shady guys with Russian accents handed him briefcases full of cash.
A joke, of course. Kosta doesn’t really look much like Junior. For one thing he’s in better shape. He used to be a professional tennis player.

Right-wing Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Florida) is on Donald Trump‘s shortlist as a potential vice presidential pick.
Donald is said to be one of Trump’s most trusted surrogates and has been a loyalist of the former president.
However, old posts from Donalds’ Facebook page show the representative criticizing Trump. In 2011, one of Donalds’ posts says, “Trump won’t run. Thank God!” The post referenced Trump’s decision not to run against former President Barack Obama.
Other posts of Donalds directly attacking Trump on social media and in interviews from 2011 to 2012. Donalds was a Tea Party member and ran for Congress at the time. Donalds called out Trump’s trade policies and his birtherism conspiracy theory about Obama.
In the past, Donalds supported the privatization of programs such as Social Security and Medicare, calling them “vouchers.”

Brian Teta, the executive producer of The View, has signed a new contract for the show that will keep him at the often buzzy daytime talker for the next four years.
The show has been up 3% in total viewers season to date, and has continued to top daytime talk shows and news programs in viewership and households. There are signs of an election-year influence in the uptick: The day after the Iowa caucuses, when ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jon Karl guested, the show’s 2.85 million viewers was its most watched telecast in nearly two years.

When Donald Trump left his seat in the boardroom as the star of his long-running NBC reality series “The Apprentice” in 2015, in order to run for president of the United States, he had a clear successor in mind.
“I said, ‘The best person to hire would be Ivanka Trump,’” Donald Trump says. “I didn’t press it. But I felt Ivanka would have been by far the best person you could hire.”
Trump shares this revelation in a new book about his years as a reality star, “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” written by Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh. Retired Judge Barbara Jones, who was appointed last November as the independent financial monitor of the Trump Organization, has been given sweeping new powers to run the troubled company, much to its lawyers’ chagrin.
After Judge Arthur Engoron‘s ruling last month, Jones, a former mob prosecutor, is effectively running the company after Trump and his sons Eric and Don Jr. were barred from running companies in New York for a fixed period.
The judge ordered Trump and his company to pay $355 million in restitution for decades of business fraud.
The company is now appealing the bans and fines.

Shares in Truth Social parent Trump Media & Technology Group gave back most of their initial gains but still posted a strong debut on the Nasdaq, boosting the value of Donald Trump’s majority stake.
The start of trading for the stock, which resulted from a Spac merger finalized last week, was not accompanied by the usual Wall Street pageantry of an opening-bell ceremony or a gladhanding photo shoot. Still, a surge of initial interest in the stock Tuesday morning prompted market officials to briefly halt trading. Once it resumed, shares eventually cooled off after rising as much as 50%, though they still rose 16% on the day to finish at $57.99.
At that price, Trump’s roughly 60% stake in the company would be worth about $4.5 billion, a conveniently timed windfall given the former president’s many legal obligations. A judge on Monday gave him a reprieve in a civil fraud case in New York,...

Donald Trump Jr. pressed his father, former President Donald Trump, to select a “strong “fighter” as his running mate.
In an interview with the New York Post, Trump Jr. highlighted the importance of choosing the right vice president, wanting someone who can take a punch and hit back harder.
“What I want in that role is, I want a fighter,” stated Trump Jr., “I understand what they are going to throw at us.”
“In 2016, you needed someone to balance out [the ticket] — that’s where Mike Pence made sense, sort of the yin and yang, but [given] the vicious nature of the swamp and the insanity we see on a daily basis, you need someone who can take those hits,” he continued.
Trump Jr. reveals that he’s been pushing people such as Vivek Ramaswamy, a former GOP candidate, and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson to be Trump’s running mate. Trump Jr.

With a payment deadline of March 25 days away, former President Donald Trump has yet to come up with the $464 million bond he will need to pay. In the civil fraud case brought on by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Trump was found guilty of fraud, including wildly inflating the values of his properties including Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower in order to obtain lower interest rates and better terms.
As part of the ruling, Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to pay $464 million within a 30-day timeframe. To secure the money, Trump and his team reached out to 30 surety firms but were denied each time. Trump has stated he will appeal the case.
With only days left until March 25, James is preparing to seize Trump’s properties, including his New York two estates. Court documents show that James has already filed the necessary paperwork to seize two New York properties.

Donald Trump‘s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was set to embark on a series of speaking events in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in July last year. Yet the tour has been plagued by continuous postponements, which has led to frustration among fans who await refunds.
The Down Under tour, which promised to draw large crowds, has faced numerous delays since its initial announcement. It was first rescheduled from July to September, then pushed back again to December and now lacks a confirmed date for the future.
The tour, originally advertised as a “landmark” event, featured former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage and Liberal senator Alex Antic as special guests. General admission tickets for the event ranged from $59 for students or concession holders to $89 for the general public. A high-priced private dinner event, priced at $2500, included a pre-show dinner with Trump Jr., a champagne reception, and front-row seating.
