Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finally brought Namor the Submariner into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the character underwent some significant changes, with Atlantis swapped out for Talokan and his origin story rooted in Mayan legend.
While not everyone was happy about that, it went a long way in helping to differentiate Namor from DC's Aquaman.
Thanks to Marvel Studios concept artist Phil Saunders (who has spent the past year working on Disney's Tron: Ares), we have a new look at some sequences which didn't make it into the Black Panther sequel's final cut.
That includes a clash between Ironheart and Namora. "The script originally called for an extended battle between [Riri Williams] and [Namora] that would have taken them underwater," Saunders says. "It was inevitably cut to keep the focus on [Shuri] and [Namor], but gave me the opportunity to paint some dynamic shots."

Beau DeMayo included a lot of cameos in X-Men ’97, all of which were welcomed by fans with a lot of fanfare. Be it Captain America, who got the most screentime on the show among the non-x-Men related cast, or Peter Parker, and Mary Jane, which neatly wrapped up the cliffhanger from Spider-Man: The Animated Series, the show did a tremendous job of showing us how the world was populated bu heroes other than the X-Men, who were out on their missions, presenting a living and breathing superhero universe.

In Ryan Coogler's 2022 sci-fi war epic "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," a pair of fantastical, magical kingdoms go to war over a rare element called vibranium. Vibranium is a magical, energy-producing metal that allows both kingdoms to build amazing machines, and shield their existence from the human world. On one side, there is the titular Wakanda, an African nation that is home to the superhero Black Panther (Letitia Wright). On the other side is Talokan, a Mesoamerican realm deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean, overseen by the amphibious Namor (Tenoch Huerta). Like many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the plot is unnecessarily complicated, but the visuals are first-rate, and the Afrofuturist aesthetic is amazing.
The inclusion of Namor was something of a coup for the MCU, as Namor the Sub-Mariner was famously one of the very first Marvel superheroes, having appeared in Marvel Comics #1 back in 1939. Namor was created by Bill Everett.

Among Marvel Studios’ upcoming releases, the ‘Avengers’ series stands out as the most anticipated. With two new installments in development, the journey to the fifth film has been eventful. Following Jonathan Majors’ dismissal in December due to allegations of third-degree assault against his former partner, the film’s direction has become uncertain.
Internally, the title shifted from ‘Kang Dynasty’ to ‘Avengers 5,’ leaving doubts about Kang’s role as the main antagonist. To provide clarity amidst the confusion, we’ve crafted this guide to consolidate all current information about the movie.
Much of the plot remains shrouded in mystery
‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ was intended to debut Kang the Conqueror into the MCU and position him as the primary antagonist for the forthcoming phases, akin to Thanos.

Out of all the movies on Marvel Studios’ release schedule, the ‘Avengers’ franchise is undoubtedly the most exciting one. We know that two new ‘Avengers’ movies are in development, and when it comes to the fifth installment in the franchise, we’ve been through a lot in the last few months.
Majors’ was fired back in December after being found guilty of third-degree assault against his former girlfriend, and since then, the direction of the movie is confusing, to say the least. The movie internally changed its name from ‘Kang Dynasty’ to ‘Avenger 5,’ and we can’t even be sure that Kang is the main villain still. This is why, we decided to compile this guide, to quickly and efficiently summarize everything we know about the movie so far.

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.

However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.
Jessica Carr Went Unnoticed Despite Saving Damian Priest
Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

The casting of The Crown’s Emma Corrin in Deadpool & Wolverine’s in a lead role has led to plenty of speculation as to whether they’re playing the film’s villain. Although some thought she’d be playing a variant version of Deadpool to give a twist on Lady Deadpool, others were adamant she’d bring Cassandra Nova to the party. Now, it looks like the latter has been confirmed.
As seen on the US Copyright Office site, Corrin’s character is listed as “Cassandra Nova,” seemingly confirming they’ll be playing the villainous twin sister of Charles Xavier. Introduced in 2001’s New X-Men #114, Cassandra Nova has similar telekinetic and telepathic powers to Charles Xavier. But instead of using them for good, she tried to eradicate the so-called “mutant menace” by dispatching an army of Sentinel robots to the mutant island of Genosha, massacring millions of mutants in the process.

It seems Marvel Studios is going to focus on Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards and Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm’s long-lasting relationship in The Fantastic Four. The following article contains spoilers for "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."
"Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" has finally hit theaters, and the DC Extended Universe is officially finished. Jason Momoa has wrapped up his very entertaining run as the man who can talk to fish, and while I don't think this one lived up to the promise of the first "Aquaman," Momoa (and Patrick Wilson as Orm) is a joy to watch, even when the film doesn't work ... which it often doesn't. The mid-credits cockroach scene may feel indicative of the Dceu going out with a whimper, but it's the ending that really fell flat for me. Part of the reason it just didn't work is that we've seen this ending before — and what it led to — in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Following the guilty verdict in his assault trial on Monday, Jonathan Majors has been fired by Marvel Studios. And on social media, fans have a lot of thoughts about it.
It’s not only a spectacular career imposion for an actor who less than a year ago seemed headed for permanent stardom. It’s also a massive headache for Marvel and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And that’s on top of the fact that Majors, who continues to deny any wrongdoing, was found guilty of assault and harrassment against his ex-girlfriend. He’ll be sentenced in February and has signalled plans to appeal.
About that latter point, Screenrant writer Alisha Grauso called the whole thing “a damn shame.”
I'm not sure I've seen a more promising talent tank their career harder and faster than Jonathan Majors. What a damn shame. For him, for the people who are working with him,...

Phases 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have had some pretty intimidating villains thus far. From Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) and his plans to take over the Earth for all Skrulls to Wenwu (Tony Leung) and his ancient rings of power to He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and the threat of his variants, the stakes of the Multiverse Saga have been just as formidable to overcome as Thanos and those who came before. But there’s one Loki villain who might just have them all beat – the sentient A.I. clock we all know as Miss Minutes (Tara Strong).

Los Angeles, Oct 4 (Ians) Hollywood star Clint Eastwood was approached for the role of Superman for the eponymous 1978 film but rejected it as he wanted to play Marvel hero Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Amazon Studios has changed its name to Amazon MGM Studios, announced Pablo Iacoviello, director of monetization for local originals at the studio since April.
During his keynote address to a packed audience at the TV forum Iberseries & Platino Industria, which kicked off Oct. 3 in Madrid, Iacoviello broke the announcement as he held forth on how the studio continues to explore new local production opportunities and distribution strategies.
The name change is a natural progression from the news in May when the platform giant launched Amazon MGM Studios Distribution, a worldwide international film and TV distribution unit that sells Amazon originals and MGM’s deep vault of titles.
Most of the major U.S. studios have been resorting to mixed models of streaming and licensing in recent months as they seek to ensure the viability of content economics.

Like it or not, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will definitely remember the Samuel. L Jackson-led Secret Invasion. Whether it be as the show that sent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) off in underwhelming style, or as the six-part series that created the MCU’s most Op character in Super Skrull G’iah (Emilia Clarke), there’s a lot to discuss now the final credits have rolled.
As with all these Disney+ series, Secret Invasion set the stage for upcoming outings, including The Marvels and Captain America: New World Order. However, you might’ve missed a major tease of a whole franchise hiding in plain sight. If the surprise reveal that Ms. Marvel’s Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) could be a mutant has taught us anything, it’s to hunt in the most unlikely places for the X-Men. In the Secret Invasion finale, it looks like a case of X marks the spot.

The allegations were revealed after Rios accused Poder Prieto, an organization that aims to fight racism in the entertainment industry, of protecting Huerta. Huerta is one of the many artists who are members of the organization.
Ríos is a former member and, according to Poder Prieto, initially accused them of not paying her for her work. Additionally, she claims that Poder Prieto uploaded an episode of El Feisbuk de la Malinche, which features the musician and never asked for her consent.

Over the weekend, Ríos posted a series of tweets calling Huerta a “violator” and “sexual predator” while accusing him of sexually assaulting her. “It’s very difficult to talk about the emotional abuse and the abuse of power of a sexual predator who is loved around the world for playing a character in a movie such as Tenoch Huerta,” she wrote.
In a statement released on Monday, Huerta called the allegation “false and completely unsubstantiated,” and claimed that he and Ríos had an “entirely consensual” relationship that lasted “several months.”

Ríos, a former member of Poder Prieto, accused the organization of making her work for free without compensating her and protecting Huerta, whom she called a “sexual predator” and responded in the affirmative when asked by another Twitter user if Huerta assaulted her. It looks like the dead pool is growing, as the ever-expanding cast of Shawn Levy’s Deadpool 3 could be adding some major names from the singed remnants of Fox’s X-Men franchise. As we wait patiently for the X-Men to arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s more than just Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine that can unite the various eras of marvelous mutants.
Once upon a time, Charles Xavier’s gifted youngsters were everywhere, with planned movies for everyone from Gambit to Multiple Man, as well as a proposed trilogy of New Mutants movies. Following the disappointment of the troubled Dark Phoenix, and with Disney buying 20th Century Fox, things were streamlined, with Deadpool 3 being the lone survivor of Mickey Mouse wiping out mutantkind.

The final track might’ve played on James Gunn’s time with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but rest assured, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 isn’t quite the end of the story. While series mainstays Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldaña, and Sean Gunn claim they’re also done, one lovable rogue is sticking around for more. A cryptic post-credits teaser of “The Legendary Star-Lord will return” confirms the music-loving hero has at least one more MCU outing in his arsenal. The MCU made Oscar history this year as Angela Bassett earned the franchise its first-ever acting nomination for her supporting turn as Queen Ramonda in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” This was the sequel to “Black Panther,” which was the first film in the franchise to reap a Best Picture bid.
So often, the MCU is consigned to visual effects and sound categories at the Academy Awards. For both “Black Panther” movies to break through in key categories (plus double wins for Ruth E. Carter‘s costume design), is remarkable. Still, though, the artist and filmmaking talent on show in the MCU is often overlooked purely because they are superhero movies. With that in mind, here are five Oscars categories where the MCU deserves more attention.

So, we’ve had the perennial discussion about which actor could or should be the next James Bond but what about the man behind the camera? Strangely, the conversation around which director should helm a Bond movie doesn’t seem to take off quite as much — but it certainly deserves to. With that in mind, here are 10 directors we’d love to see take charge of the next James Bond movie.
Christopher Nolan
The fans’ number one choice. Nolan’s movies are always events — from “The Dark Knight” all the way up to “Tenet” and the upcoming “Oppenheimer,” Nolan is one of the best technical directors around and he is an expert of melding exquisite action set-pieces into the most intriguing narrative stories. Several of his movies already evoke a sense of Bond, including his Batman trilogy, “Inception,” and “Tenet.” Nolan and Bond would be a marriage made in heaven.

Cue that iconic theme music because X-Men: The Animated Series is coming back in a big way! Many a Saturday morning was defined by sitting in front of the television and watching Charles Xavier’s gifted youngsters save the day in their colourful spandex, but it’s been nearly 26 years since X-Men: The Animated Series bowed out with the acclaimed “Graduation Day,” and while the likes of X-Men: Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men have their merits, they’ve paled in comparison to The Animated Series.

Though he's had some mixed fortunes with adapting his work into Netflix series (Jupiter's Legacy had an ignominious one-season but others are in the works), Mark Millar's Millarworld is still part of the streaming giant's world. His next adaptation will be a fresh take on American Jesus called The Chosen One.
Co-created by Millar and artist Peter Gross, the comics first hit stands in 2004, but it has been a labour of love and years for the pair to finish the series – and at one point, was going to become a movie directed by Kick-Ass' Matthew Vaughn.
For the Netflix version, the story is being switched to Mexico. Jodie, a twelve-year-old boy, suddenly discovers he has Jesus-like powers: he can turn water into wine, make the crippled walk, and, perhaps, even raise the dead! As the Evangelical and the Yaquí leaders in town try to get him to use his powers to save mankind,...

At the 2023 Oscars, Ruth E. Carter won her second statuette for her imaginative costume work on the futuristic Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This marked Carter’s second Oscar win for best costume design.
She previously won an Oscar in 2019 for Marvel’s Black Panther, becoming the first-ever Black woman to take home the statuette for costume design. She now becomes the first Black woman to be a two-time winner in any category, and joins only four other Black winners to have two competitive Oscars (Denzel Washington, Willie D. Burton, Russell Williams II and Mahershala Ali).
She also becomes the first person to win a costume design Oscar for designing both an original film and its sequel.
At the start of her acceptance speech, Carter alluded to her prior win for Black Panther, telling the audience, “Nice to see you again.”
And she dedicated the moment to her late mother,...
