CAA agents Dave Bugliari, Michael Cooper, Mick Sullivan and Jack Whigham have left the talent agency and will join their former colleague Peter Micelli’s new management and production company, multiple individuals with knowledge of the move told TheWrap.
Others who have recently been added to the staff of the new company are WME lit agent Rich Cook, along with Mackenzie Roussos, Susie Fox, Chelsea Mckinnies and Lucinda Moorhead.
These exits come following the departure of CAA Motion Picture Literary Agent Scott Greenberg, who left to join Lbi Entertainment as a manager and a partner, where he has continued to represent clients Antoine Fuqua, Jaume Collet-Serra, Taylor Sheridan, Dan Gilroy, Brad Ingelsby and Nanette Burstein, among others.

Exclusive Update: Deadline has confirmed several more who’ll be part of the dozen or so principal agents turning manager/producers and joining this venture being hatched by Pete Micelli with hedge fund billionaire Steve Cohen and two other major financing sources. A big name to add is Rich Cook, a star WME lit agent who ran the motion picture lit department for the agency before moving temporarily to London and repping his clients from there. Also joining are four sharp UTA agents (at least two are partners) on the television side: Mackenzie Roussos, Susie Fox, Chelsea Mckinnies, and Lucinda Moorhead. There will be much more to discuss, including which clients will become repped by the management company and how that will work with the agencies they are leaving. This is happening in real time and some of the participants are clearing themselves from their agencies to make this move,...

Exclusive: Scott Greenberg is leaving CAA to become a manager and partner at Lbi Entertainment. He is making the move amicably from agent to manager and will join Lbi principal Rick Yorn, a close friend and mentor since they were fraternity brothers at the University of Maryland, where Yorn gave Greenberg his pledge pin late one night as the pledge worked his way into Tau Kappa Epsilon. Greenberg will make the move after Labor Day.
Greenberg, who began working in the CAA mailroom 29 years ago, will be bringing a major infusion of A-list directors. They are still working out the details, but the clients who’ll be managed by Greenberg are expected to continue to be agented by CAA.
Said CAA President & Co-Chairman Richard Lovett: “Scott has been a valued member of the CAA family and an exceptional advocate for his clients for many years. We are thrilled to...

When “The Simpsons” premiered in 1989, it was an outlier. Animated shows in primetime were by no means unprecedented — “The Flintstones” broke that barrier in the ’60s — but never before had an animated series aimed at adults resonated so powerfully or had as significant an impact on a network as “The Simpsons” did for Fox. Three decades later, though, such series are having their moment in a big way.
Mike Moon, head of adult animation at Netflix, began his career as an artist on “The Simpsons.” What he’s seen in the years since has been a blossoming of adult animation on U.S. television.
“Adult animation [over] the last 25 years has been a really incredible story,” says Moon, who charts the format’s growth through shows such as “The Simpsons,” Comedy Central’s “South Park,” Fox’s “Family Guy” and Netflix’s “BoJack Horseman,” to a recent crop of new shows.
