A public memorial for Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera will be held Wednesday (Dec. 19) at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheater, her family says.
The service, dubbed a "Celestial Graduation" by her family, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, led by her brother Minister Pedro Rivera Jr.
"We will celebrate the graduation into heaven, with honors, of our beloved mother, daughter and sister Jenni Rivera," the family says in a statement (via the Los Angeles Times).
Rivera's family asks for privacy for a burial that will be held separately, and her children ask that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation, in addition to a single white rose.
"The Rivera family appreciates all the love given to our beloved Jenni Rivera who graduated on December 9th and now rests in the arms of our Lord," the statement continues.

Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera was presumed dead following a plane crash Sunday (Dec. 9) near Monterrey, Mexico, but now her remains have been identified by the medical examiner's office in Monterrey, confirming the Latin star's death, reports CNN.
Her remains will now be turned over to her family, who were still hoping that the 42-year-old would be found alive despite officials saying none of the seven people on board survived the crash.
A spokesman for Mexico's Nuevo Leon state says the remains of Rivera's publicist, Arturo Rivera (no relation), and the plane's co-pilot have also been identified.
The other passengers believed to be on board were Rivera's attorney Mario Macias, stylist Jorge Sanchez, and makeup artist Jacob Yebale, who took what is believed to be the final photo of the group. The pilots were Miguel Perez Soto and Alejandro Torres.
Employees at a Monterrey funeral home say the singer's remains will be cremated there.

The plane that crashed early Sunday morning leaving Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera dead had logged 43 years worth of flights and had malfunctioned once before in 2005, Mexican wire service Notimex reports.
The cause of the plane crash that killed Rivera was not immediately known by Sunday evening, but data from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration showed the Learjet 25 was built in 1969, according to Notimex.
While trying to take off on an Amarillo airstrip in 2005, the plane experienced a fuel system malfunction, causing one wing to weigh more than the other. No one was injured in the 2005 accident, Notimex reports.
At least five people were on board the plane when it crashed Sunday: the pilots, Miguel Pérez and Alejandro Torres, along with the singer, her publicist and her makeup artist.
