[Note: With the film finally released in the UK this week, here's a reposting of our review of Dolls from it's Us release last Summer]
Wow. You’ve got to have some balls to name your film Dolls. You’re stepping on the toes of ther legendary Stuart Gordon right there… Even moreso when your film actually concerns killer dolls too! This particular iteration of Dolls tells the story of a struggling children’s book author and his rebellious teenage daughter who move into a house they’ve inherited and find mysterious dolls in the attic. They soon learn that the dolls have a sinister, and deadly, past.
Of course Stuart Gordon’s Dolls is not the be all and end all of killer doll movies but it is, for myself and many other genre fans, certainly one of the best examples of the genre.

Alien Infiltration
Stars: Jeremy London, Roddy Piper, Cuyle Carvin, Adrienne Lavalley | Written by John Doolan | Directed by Colin Theys
Ok, so the “plot” of Alien Infiltration is a little convoluted – After killing her daughters abusive husband, an alien crash lands in their small-town junkyard. Unable to claim the life insurance payout without a body they go on TV and offer a cash reward to whomever can kill the alien and recover the body. Tempted by a $100,000 rewards every wacko within 100 miles turns out – including an American football team, a school of karate kicking kids, the towns sheriff and a whole heap of unsavoury money-hungry vigilantes (including “Rowdy” Roddy Piper as a maching gun toting priest!), and before long the junkyard is transformed into a war zone as man takes on alien in a epic battle to the death.
With nods to many an alien invasion flick before it, Alien Infiltration...

It's quite the quandary if you perhaps suffer from Ophidiophobia (the fear of snakes) yet absolutely love a gorgeous hottie because David Palmieri's new horror 'Snake Club: Revenge of the Snake Woman' manages to couple the two ideas into a melting pot of sexy thrills. But more notably the TomCat Films production, which has unleashed a new trailer, stars Penthouse Pet of the Year Veronica Ricci (below). The damn sexy pornstar features alongside co-stars Cuyle Carvin and Andrew J McGuinness and also pops up amongst a whole host of sexy snake-like strippers feeding on their latest prey. Of course this isn't the first snake-woman flick to see the light of day recently as you recall Jennifer Chambers Lynch's 'Hisss'. Check out the 'Snake Club' trailer and one-sheet below....

Preliminary rumblings about a new series called "Revelations" came across our desk as this week wound down, and while it has similarities to "The Walking Dead", there's a slight religious aspect to the show, and instead of a zombie outbreak, there are demons... with a definite agenda.
The story follows a particular two survivors, played by Marlene Mc'Cohen (Vampire Boys, Alice in Murderland) and Cuyle Carvin (Assault of the Sasquatch, Blood Moon), and their attempt to get out of town, find other survivors, and seek some kind of safety - which may or may not exist. The creator of the project is Robert Michael Ryan, co-writer, producer, and co-star of 2009's Necrosis.
The producers have promised a lot more info over the coming weeks so keep it here for updates. In the meantime check out a behind-the-scenes photo of Carvin and Mc'Cohen.

We don't have a lot of details, but with a title like Snake Club: Revenge of the Snake Woman, you probably know all you need to about David Palmieri's upcoming film, which stars April 2009 Penthouse Pet of the Month Veronica Ricci.
The film just wrapped production, and Cuyle Carvin co-stars with Ricci as a guy who is trying to track down a certain relic so it can be destroyed before an evil spirit can gain immortality and have free reign over the Earth - but of course things don't go to plan.
Look for more on this one soon, and in the meantime check out the brand new poster art for Snake Club: Revenge of the Snake Woman.

It was this past summer when we last heard anything about Brian Kazmarck's sci-fi/horror thriller Terminal Legacy, but now a trailer has arrived that we're happy to share. In addition we've learned the film has a projected release date of spring 2012.
As a refresher, here's a synopsis/message from Kazmarck:
Terminal Legacy is an exciting apocalyptic sci-fi thriller about a team of three scientists whose attempt at creating the ultimate miracle drug horribly backfires. In the wake of an outbreak within their facility, they must race to prevent the remaining patients from escaping as well as dealing with their own divisive motivations.
Our film is unique among its cinematic brethren in that it's an apocalyptic/zombie movie told from the point of view of the men responsible for the "outbreak" and is told as the outbreak starts. It is not told in the aftermath, nor is it about...

When we interviewed Cuyle Carvin last March, he talked a little about appearing with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the upcoming film Alien Opponent (formerly known as Opponent), and today we have an update on that project along with some early details on Carvin's own production company's short film entitled Amused.
Fangoria debuted Synthetic Cinema's Alien Opponent trailer a few days ago (check it out below). The name Cuyle Carvin may not be instantly recognizable to Dread Central readers, but the 29-year-old is a veteran of several horror films including Fog Warning, Assault of the Sasquatch (also known as Sasquatch Assault), Victimized, Ghost Wolf, Mind Morgue, The Severed Inn, and Opponent.
With Sasquatch Assault in the can and both Victimized and Opponent currently in post-production and scheduled for release this year, we suspect he is someone to keep an eye on. Ahearn and Andrea Sáenz,...
