Match #1: Chad Gable def. Sami Zayn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa unwilling to break rules to help him, Chad Gable sent them both to the back. As Gable continued to berate Dupri and Tozawa, Zayn took advantage to hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, but was unable to come up with the victory. Gable locked on the Ankle Lock to try and get the submission victory but Zayn was able to make it to the ropes. Screaming at Otis to help him, Otis was conflicted before deciding against helping his leader. Once again, Gable slapped Otis for his insubordination. With Otis irate, he clobbered Zayn behind the official’s back. Gable then took advantage...

Match #1: Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Match – Iyo Sky def. Shayna Baszler The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A renewal of an epic rivalry highlighted this Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal clash between Shayna Baszler and former WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky. Sky took out Baszler’s knee before hitting a superb moonsault from the the top rope onto Baszler outside the ring. Baszler looked to have Sky fading in the Kirifuda Clutch, but Sky booked her ticket to the semifinals after hitting the Over the Moonsault, somehow surviving the punishment of Baszler.

Match #1: Street Fight – Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga def. Randy Orton & Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before the match could even begin, all four Superstars engaged in a massive melee with WWE officials, including SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who was attempting to break up the brawl. A fed up Aldis decided to forgo the original tag team rules, turning the bout into a Street Fight. The chaos only heightened with the introduction of weapons including Kendo sticks, trash cans, tables and even the Prime hydration station being used as instruments of destruction. Both teams traded blows with Owens splashing Tonga through a table while Sikoa nearly simultaneously put Orton through a table with a Samoan Drop.

John Cena Wants To Enjoy One Last Run In WWE (Photo Credit – Instagram)

In this year’s show, John Cena coming back into the action was one of the biggest highlights, and every member of Cenation was on their feet. As the veteran pro-wrestler turned actor looked good inside the ring, speculations about Cena’s full-time return are in full swing.
For those who didn’t watch WrestleMania Xl, John returned to the ring to help Chody Rhodes secure a much-awaited victory over Roman Reigns. Fresh off his win at WrestleMania 40, WWE star Damian Priest has signed with Paradigm for representation in all areas, Variety has learned exclusively.
Paradigm will work to build his business across books, acting, marketing, unscripted and more. Priest, who was born Luis Berrios (Martinez), most recently won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship during Night 2 of WrestleMania 40 by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract against Drew McIntire, who himself had just won the championship from Seth Rollins.
Priest was born in New York but raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico until he was 11. It was there he developed an interest in professional wrestling and martial arts. He began his career on the independent circuit, including a sting in Ring of Honor.

The Women’s World Championship will remain with Rhea Ripley as Mami defeated The Man to kick off WrestleMania Xl Saturday. Ripley was on a mission not to just defeat Becky Lynch, but humiliate her with an incredible strength advantage. Ever the fighter, Lynch refused to be dominated, battling back in typical Lasskicker fashion. Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.
Damian Priest | image: Wikimedia Commons
However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.
Jessica Carr Went Unnoticed Despite Saving Damian Priest
Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

The WWE is riddled with so much going on with different superstars all with their different storylines intertwining or unraveling from one moment to the next, the championship holders like Rhea Ripley have to be ready for any match that comes her way, especially for her title.
But on the bright side, along with the support of The Judgment Day by her side in the company, she also has her fiancée Buddy Matthews to push her to be the best in her personal life.
Rhea Ripley
And while the WWE fandom knows about this, they still cannot help but inquire about how Matthews felt with the Ripley X Dominik storyline that did wonders for their careers. When posed this question, the Women’s World Champion revealed that she too was surprised that her fiancée wasn’t bothered by it all that much, which actually made her jealous instead.

As is the case with Roman Reigns in modern WWE, sometimes a champion’s reign lasts way too long. But the opposite can also be true. Somebody could get a big title win and only hold onto the belt for a few weeks, possibly even days, before being forced back to square one. For one reason or another, there are a select group of wrestlers in WWE who dropped the title way earlier than they should have.
On this list of wrestlers who needed more time with their championships, we will not be including those who were forced to vacate due to injury. It seems too easy an answer, so here’s an honorable mention for Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan, Edge, and the rest of the champs who had to vacate the belt for physical reasons.

The WWE 2K series is the prime series for any fan to look forward to. These games give them a chance to get into the shoes of their favorite wrestlers and wreak havoc around the ring. As with real-life wrestling, these games also feature different types of tournaments for players to participate in.
And for those interested, this game also allows for the Judgment Day events. Welcome to this review of the 2023 edition of WWE”s Fastlane pay-per-view, well I say pay-per-view but this is technically a Ple (Premium Live Event) because… I have no idea what the difference is other than some countries get to see Ple’s without paying more than a subscription to a streaming service. Anyway, rant over, here’s the review…
Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso def. Finn Bálor & Damian Priest The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Judgment Day’s firm grasp on WWE is slipping as Señor Money in the Bank and Finn Bálor lost the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships to the unlikely pairing of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Nxt North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Jd McDonagh arrived to help their Judgment Day teammates, but McDonagh’s attack backfired as he accidentally...

This year’s edition of WWE “Fastlane” is full of firsts. It’s the first Fastlane to take place outside of the “Road to Wrestlemania” and the first premium live event under the Tko Holdings banner following the sale of WWE. It also may be the first card for a certain new WWE Superstar who was recently signed from another company. It’s also the first Fastlane appearance for John Cena since 2018. You can watch the action emanate live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis this Saturday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. Et on Peacock. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: Butch & Tyler Bate def. Gallus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Big Strong Boi and The Brawling Brute got some payback on Gallus, and were even joined by a longtime ally. The Gallus boys used the numbers game to their advantage as Wolfgang and Mark Coffey dominated the in-ring action while Joe Coffey ran interference on the outside. British Strongstyle proved to be too much as their tandem offense planted Coffey and gave them the win, only for Gallus to attack them after the match. That attack prompted Butch’s Brawling Brute teammate Ridge Holland to return to Nxt and save his companions from the savage beatdown.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Triple Threat #1 Contender Match – Lyra Valkyria def.

Match #1: “Big” Bronson Reed def. Otis The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With the ring reinforced, “Big” Bronson Reed took on Alpha Academy’s Otis in a clash of gargantuan Superstars. Reed was able to withstand Otis’ tree trunk girth, dispatching him with the Tsunami.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tommaso Ciampa def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tommaso Ciampa took the next step in facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther as he defeated Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser nearly won the match, however, after he took advantage of Ciampa attacking Giovanni Vinci. But Kaiser could not get the win as the referee was distracted with Vinci’s injury. Kaiser then threw out his own teammate hoping to get the win.

Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Aj Styles The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Damian Priest and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day got themselves removed from ringside for causing a disruption. As the official was ordering them out, Jimmy Uso suddenly emerged from nowhere and leaped up on the apron. This caused a distraction that paved the way for The Prince to roll up The Phenomenal One for the quick pin.

Match #1: Finn Bálor & Damian Priest def. Kevin Owens & Jey Uso The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In an impromptu tag team matchup, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor & Damian Priest battled reluctant partners Kevin Owens & Jey Uso. Ko looked ready to hit the Stunner on Priest. Before he could, however, Señor Money in the Bank had the presence of mind to push Owens forward and move out of the way. When he did, Uso accidently hit his partner with a superkick and paved the way for Bálor to finish Ko with the Coup de Grace. As the dust cleared, a frustrated Owens walked out ahead of “Main Event” Jey shaking his head.
