Earlier this month, an image cinematographer Christian Sebaldt shared on Instagram indicated that Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) was finally, after years of development and a thirteen-year gap between sequels, heading into production. The next day, producer Craig Perry took to social media to confirm that Final Destination: Bloodlines is indeed filming, the aim being to get this one into theatres in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. Now, it’s been revealed that the long anticipated sequel has officially wrapped principal photography. Once again, the announcement came courtesy of Perry. The film stars Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee. It also features the return of Tony Todd in his iconic role as William Budworth, who was in the first,...

Amid new scrutiny on child performers in the wake of the Quiet on Set docuseries, former Disney actress Christy Carlson Romano is opening up about the moments when she and her mother had to speak up on the set of Disney show Even Stevens, which Romano starred in as a teen.
In a conversation on Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown podcast, which also included Bialik’s fellow Blossom alum Jenna von Oÿ, Bialik asked the former child stars about times in which they had to assert themselves during production and what “worked well” in managing to be heard.
Romano noted that there were a couple of times when she was able to have a say in the production choices. One was when writers would come to her to draw from her own experiences while writing for her character, Ren. “They would be like, ‘Hey, you just turned 16. Are boys interesting to you?...

Sony‘s untitled Karate Kid film is ready to make Ben Wang‘s heart go pitter-pat after adding Cruel Summer actress Sadie Stanley to the cast. Stanley plays the romantic lead opposite Ben Wang (American Born Chinese) in the forthcoming marital arts drama, which also stars Joshua Jackson, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio.
Plot specifics remain a mystery, though we hear Sony will move the story to the East Coast and focus on a teen from China who finds identity and strength in martial arts. During his journey of self-discovery, Wang’s character meets a disciplined martial arts master. With Chan and Macchio both appearing in the film, there’s a chance Wang’s character could train under two teachers. Jonathan Entwistle

It’s about time! Thirteen years have gone by since the release of Final Destination 5, but we’ve been hearing rumblings that another sequel was on the way for years. A while back, Jon Watts, director of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, came on board to produce the sixth film in the Final Destination franchise alongside Dianne McGunigle, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Craig Perry. Back in September of 2022, we learned that the duo of Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, who previously directed the 2018 film Freaks (starring Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern) and the 2019 live-action Kim Possible movie, would be directing Final Destination 6. Last October, it was revealed that the film will be called Final Destination: Bloodlines… and now cinematographer Christian Sebaldt has shared an image that indicates Final Destination: Bloodlines will be heading into production soon! Nicole Paggi has agreed to temporarily become Maxie Jones on General Hospital. She takes over the role from Kirsten Storms, who will be out for a few days.
Soap Opera Digest first broke the news of the casting switch.
Paggi — who played Kelly Ripa’s niece/Faith Ford’s daughter Sydney in the ABC comedy Hope & Faith — debuted today on the ABC daytime soap.
Days of Our Lives vet Storms joined General Hospital in 2005 after playing Isabella “Belle” Black on the NBC drama from 1999 to 2004.
This is the second such switch of this character. Storms’ Maxie was temporarily recast in 2011, with Jen Lilley taking over the part until Storms returned in 2012. Storm also took temporary leaves from the show in 2016, 2017 and 2018, ranging from a couple days to a several-months hiatus, with Molly Burnett frequently filling in.

Fox will not be moving ahead with “Welcome to Flatch” Season 3.
“While audience response was not as strong as we had hoped, we were thrilled with the creativity of the enormously talented Jenny Bicks and Paul Feig, as well as the outstanding, dedicated cast and crew they assembled,” a Fox spokesperson told TheWrap. “We look forward to collaborating with them again in the future and are thankful for all of our partners at Lionsgate, Jenny’s Perkins Street Productions, Paul’s Feigco Entertainment, BBC Studios’ Angie Stephenson and Charlie Cooper and Daisy May Cooper.”
Shortly after the WGA strike started in May, Fox announced updates for its scripted series. The only two series the network hadn’t made an announcement about were “Welcome to Flatch” and “HouseBroken,” both of which were up for a third season.

In season two of Freeform’s murder-mystery anthology hit Cruel Summer, Megan Landry (Sadie Stanley) has big plans. It’s a sentiment that Stanley understands well.
“[Megan’s] kind of had to grow up pretty fast, so I can relate to aspects of that,” says Stanley, 21, who moved to Los Angeles at 18 to pursue acting. In the show, Megan is a computer coder and straight-a student, raised by a single mom in a small town. “She’s going through some really rough things. Her whole life and all of her plans for her life are really falling apart.”
While season one was set in the ’90s, season two (premiering June 5) is set amid the backdrop of Y2K in a waterfront Pacific Northwest town. The story revolves around the friendship between Megan and new girl in town Isabella (Lexi Underwood), the love triangle that comes between them and the tragic mystery that changes their lives forever.

After "The New Batman Adventures" ended, the production team was ordered to create a cartoon about Batman in high school. The result of this attempt to cash in on the success of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was "Batman Beyond." Set in the far future, an elderly Bruce Wayne mentors the new Batman — teenager Terry McGinnis — in cyberpunk Neo Gotham.
The late Kevin Conroy reprised his role as Bruce while Terry was voiced by Will Friedle. At the time, Friedle was best known for his role in the sitcom "Boy Meets World." However, "Batman Beyond" shaped his career trajectory. Instead of remaining a sitcom actor, Friedle became mostly a voice actor in action cartoons.
Among his later roles include Ron Stoppable on "Kim Possible," the Blue Beetle in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," and Bumblebee in "Transformers: Prime." As a nod to Friedle's past role, "Kim Possible" even included a...

Here’s some awesome news to end the week with: eleven years after the release of Final Destination 5, a new sequel is almost ready to head into production – and Final Destination 6 has just found its directors! The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that the new sequel, which is expected to be released through the HBO Max streaming service, is going to be directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein.
The duo of Lipovsky and Stein previously directed the 2018 film Freaks (starring Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern) and the 2019 live-action Kim Possible movie. Lipovsky also directed Dead Rising: Watchtower and Leprechaun: Origins on his own… but I’ll try not to hold that Leprechaun movie against him.
Jon Watts, director of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, is producing Final Destination 6 with Dianne McGunigle, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Final Destination franchise producer Craig Perry.
