A minister at her church, she hadn't recorded in more than two decades when she was featured on a Sister Rosetta Tharpe tribute album in 2003, which lead to some bookings. She released the critically acclaimed "Let Us Get Together" in 2007.
Discovered by Sister Rosetta Tharpe while Knight sang during a Mahalia Jackson concert in New York in 1946. The two women toured through the late '40s, appearing in clubs, arenas, churches and auditoriums.
