Perhaps consider this a bit of a spoiler post, at least musically. So if you want to go in blind to John Hillcoat's prohibition drama "Lawless," we suggest you divert your eyes now. For the rest of you still with us, man, the soundtrack to "Lawless" is just one more reason to get excited for the film which lands on August 29th. By now you know it boasts an incredible cast including Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska, Gary Oldman, Shia Labeouf and Jason Clarke. You also know that the score was written by longtime Hillcoat collaborators Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, who wrote the haunting scores for "The Proposition," "The Road" and "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (the multi-hyphenate Cave, an author, also wrote the "Lawless" screenplay).

The Duke Spirit has all the right elements in place for a modern rock band: a sultry, charismatic lead singer; swaggering, noisily tuned guitars; the praises of the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen; and even a featured song on Guitar Hero 5. And yet the UK-based outfit has remained, over the course of its eight-year career, a modestly popular band with little recognition beyond its own fan base. So, the nagging question is: Why? The new Bruiser may be a clue to that. For one, it took three years to get released, and in these blink-and-it’s-gone times, that’s ...

Daughtry unveiled a new song, the dramatic “Drown In You” today. The track is part of “Batman: Arkham City—The Album,” a soundtrack to the new Batman video game that also features music from Panic! At the Disco,” Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Duke Spirit. The tune is way more anguished than we usually hear from the “American Idol” vet and his bandmates. It’s Chris Daughtry singing to what sounds like an Evanescence track crossed with Adam Lambert. There’s lots of heavy guitars, thrashing guitars, and a screaming axe solo, as angst pours through every note. The narrative of the story...

Yes, we went there. Deal. With. It.
We once wrote an article comparing "Gossip Girl's" Dan and Blair to "The O.C.'s" Seth and Summer. We will admit, we were wrong.
Before you start saying 'I told you so!', we have a new comparison to make... because why not? Dan and Blair are to "Gg" what Pacey and Joey were to "Dawson's Creek."
How did we arrive at this mind-blowing and life-altering conclusion? Well, you'll have to read through our ten favorite moment and quotes from the show's Feb. 28 episode, "Empire of the Son," to find out. We know we're cruel, but you know you love us. Xoxo.
10. Gossip Girl Word Count!
This episode's Ggwc champion: Vanessa Abrams with less than 80 words. What does she win? Us not complaining that she ruined more than just two scenes, that's what.
Also, didn't you love how Barista Vanessa...
