From child wizard to drug runner, Daniel Radcliffe certainly has had a number of different roles in his career so far to try and shake off his Harry Potter persona. In his latest attempt, Beast of Burden, he plays a drug running pilot. Watch the trailer below.
Is it just us? judging by the trailer in which his supposedly last drop goes terribly wrong, he seems to be morphing into Justin Timberlake.
Directed by Jesper Ganslandt (The Ape) from a script by Adam Hoelzel, the film stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods), and Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot) alongside Radcliffe.
The film will be in select Us cinemas, on VOD and Digital HD February 23, 2018.

The fall is often perceived as the launch pad for awards season, as numerous prestige films compete for attention in the final weeks of the year. For much of the film community, however, it’s also the first major window into movies worth talking about next year. That’s because the Sundance Film Festival lineup typically drops in the middle of November, shaking up the holiday season with a mixture of familiar faces and newcomers who could make an impact in Park City this January. With programmers working in overdrive to complete the lineup in the coming weeks, and filmmakers praying to break through as the deadlines loom, we’ve cobbled together as much intel as we can for this extensive preview featuring dozens of promising titles that stand a good chance at making their way to Sundance this year. As usual, we’ve tried to avoid projects that are...

A heroic wizard, an elusive magician, a flatulent corpse – we can now add drug-smuggling pilot to Daniel Radcliffe’s eclectic résumé, according to The Tracking Board, now that the British star has been tapped to headline indie thriller Beast of Burden.
Not to be confused with The Rolling Stones hit of the same name, Beast of Burden marks the English-language debut of Jesper Ganslandt, the Swedish director best known for The Ape and Blondie, along with a handful of shorts and documentaries. Adam Hoelzel is the brains behind the screenplay, one which finds Radcliffe in the role of Sean Haggerty, a seasoned pilot who risks his life and career by flying 55 pounds of cocaine across the border in a small plane. He’ll have to remain hidden from the prying eyes of both the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Cartel, which ought to lay the groundwork for a tense, nail-biting thrill ride.

A few details have emerged for the mysterious thriller Caretaker. This film is being developed by production house Radioactive Giant and their subsidiary RG360. In the film, a son returns to his childhood home and his mother is struggling with dementia. A caretaker is hired to look after the family grounds, but no one is as they appear to be. This horror title is expected to complete in 2015. A concept poster is available here, with more crew details below. The poster shows the film's central setting, an ancient mansion. The darkness on the grounds alludes to the film's inner mysteries, which involve identity. Strange clouds are brewing in this early graphic. As well, a second graphic at the Radioactive Giant website focuses on this remote setting, but the mansion looks even more menacing. Perhaps, Caretaker will be a haunted house feature. More details on the film will be posted as they become available.
