Lav migrated to Australia in '96. Through his University film degree, he established his niche, exploring themes of identity struggle, culture, crime and nihilism - whilst always pushing the envelope of censorship with his delicate yet striking visual aesthetics and high production values. His critically acclaimed work demonstrates a flare for performance based narrative and strong characterisation.
