Patrick Canty grew up in Billerica, Massachusetts playing sports
throughout his childhood and into high school. His passion for film
started at a young age as he would quote movie lines verbatim at his
leisure.
Attending Salem State College while playing lacrosse and working full
time bartending in Boston kept Patrick busy, but did not satisfy his
inner goals. Aside from the above mentioned Patrick attended classes at
Sityodtong Muay Thai Academy in Somerville, Ma where he trained and
studied Muay Thai Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu taught by Kru Mark
DellaGrotte.
Patrick's endeavor into the film business began in 2005 where he landed
as a principal on the seasonal ABC television show entitled "Scariest
Places on Earth". From there he balanced his education, sports, martial
arts and worked in the film industry whenever he could. Patrick was
upgraded to a day player in the 2008 comedy "My Best Friend's Girl"
which was almost immediately followed by a principal role in Richard
Kelly's "The Box" which viewed its theatrical release November 6th,
2009. Patrick now resides in Boston. He continues to write and work on
Boston area on motion pictures.
