In the final three days of his presidency, Donald Trump had something weighing heavily on his mind, causing him to reverse decisions rapidly as he swore angrily in the White House.
The source of the then-outgoing president’s anger had nothing to do with his failed attempts to subvert the 2020 election results, or the incoming president, Joe Biden. It was about Snoop Dogg, the man this magazine once dubbed “America’s Most Lovable Pimp.”

The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise has been dormant for over a decade now, and despite the fact that people like Mike Flanagan and Elijah Wood are interested in making Elm Street movies, there are no new films on the horizon. Freddy Krueger’s extended vacation is going to continue a while longer. At least we have several films to revisit – and as part our of Halloween celebrations here at JoBlo and Arrow in the Head, we decided to put together a list ranking those films from worst to best. So keep scrolling down to see our take on Nightmare on Elm Street Movies Ranked.
A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)

In the aftermath of the 2020 election, Donald Trump had a testy exchange with Kim Kardashian, the celebrity criminal justice advocate who had engaged with his White House multiple times before.
According to an excerpt of Jonathan Karl’s new book Tired Of Winning, Kardashian was lobbying the White House for more sentence commutations in the weeks before Trump’s presidency ended. But, according to an excerpt of the book featured in Axios today, Trump demanded “a straight up quid pro quo,” asking her to get football stars to visit him at the White House. But she was unable to do that because Trump “had become too toxic.”
After Trump was out of office, Kardashian reached out to the former president’s office for his endorsement of her efforts to secure clemency for those serving time. Trump called her directly, Karl wrote, and claimed that she had voted for Joe Biden.

Right from its inception, the "Scream" franchise was never intended to be merely a great horror movie. Original writer Kevin Williamson always wanted the film to have loftier goals; as he said in a 2021 interview, "'Scream' was a new way of doing a horror film, a deconstruction." Original director Wes Craven almost didn't direct the first "Scream," having already made another meta-deconstruction of the horror genre, 1994's "Wes Craven's New Nightmare," but was convinced to sign on eventually.
In Williamson and Craven's hands, the first four "Scream" films doubled as of-the-moment commentaries on the state of the slasher film and Hollywood trends in general. The first "Scream" established the general "rules" of a slasher, "Scream 2" opined on the increased budgets and mayhem of a sequel, "Scream 3" mused on what makes a good trilogy, and "Scream 4" tackled the then-rampant trend of the "reboot." 2022's "Scream," directed...

On Thursday night, just as most of the U.S. was settling into a much-deserved tryptophan coma, Kanye West was taking advantage of being allowed back on Twitter, officially announcing his 2024 run for president. Scattered among clips of floating orbs with the words “Ye 24” were more substantial videos, however, hinting at disagreements and unhappiness within the Trump-Kanye camp — as well as more details about who may have attended the infamous Mar-a-Lago dinner earlier this month.
The first video he posted, which he captioned with the hashtag #YE24, purported to be a Mar-a-Lago “debrief,...

Kim Kardashian West has reportedly enlisted the help of her high-powered attorney to free a sex trafficking survivor who was sentenced to decades in prison for killing a man who solicited her for prostitution as a teen.
Kardashian West is making good on a promise she tweeted earlier this week, vowing to do all she could to help Cyntoia Brown, a 29-year-old woman who was sentenced as an adult at 16 years old for killing Johnny Mitchell Allen, a 43-year-old real estate agent who allegedly solicited sex from her.

The Conspiracists Written and directed by Max Baker Presented by Stable Cable Lab Co. at Irt Theater, NYC April 22-May 7, 2017
Max Baker's new play, The Conspiracists, happens to be making its debut alongside widespread media coverage of the custody trial of toxic conspiracy monger Alex Jones, during which a lawyer for Jones argued that his on-air persona is merely performance art (a claim later disputed by his on-air persona). Many took this defense as a clear admission that he knowingly spreads lies for profit, but at least one writer has claimed that performing a character does not necessarily mean that the performer does not believe what the character delivers. That observation could apply equally well to the array of avowed believers who assemble as a support group in Baker's latest effort. In fact, one character, Hilda (Lisa Jill Anderson), posits, to the displeasure of the others, that belief in...

Because Me Written and directed by Max Baker Stable Cable Lab Co. at The Wild Project, NYC October 29-November 7, 2015
After last spring's excellent Live from the Surface of the Moon, writer-director Max Baker returns to The Wild Project in the East Village with his new play, Because Me. Live from the Surface of the Moon focused on a small group of friends navigating America’' transition from the '60s into the '70s, and Because Me similarly examines a small network of individuals in the context of their historical moment; but here that moment is our present. Whereas Baker's previous play included a significant New Year's Eve, its counterpart threshold here is more personal: protagonist Else's looming 30th birthday.
Else (Alice Johnson) works at Trader Joe's while she, like many before her, pursues an art career in New York City, repurposing things like cardboard boxes or bin lids as her canvases.

The Final Girl was a pretty great evolution for horror movies. Instead of endless heaps of screaming ladies falling victim to supernatural and human evils, some would rise above, running out the front door rather than up the stairs, finding a way to fight back rather than just blow the audience’s ear drums with blood-curdling screams. But the Final Girl was just that – a girl. One solitary girl might live so that the evil had someone to fight with in future, franchised battles. The down side to having a Final Girl was that only one would persevere while many more perished – victims who were often just as capable (if not smarter, or at least more charismatic) than the ones who would live. To make the victims into Final Girls might not always make narrative sense – and indeed, can change the entire outcome of a film – but it’s still fun to imagine the alternative, especially...

Review James Hunt 2 May 2014 - 10:14
The crew of the Enterprise encounter an alien race, and Riker encounters a hot blonde. What could go wrong?
This review contains spoilers.
3.9 The Vengeance Factor
An away team consisting of Riker, Worf, Data and Beverly Crusher arrives at a Federation outpost to discover that it's been ransacked by hostile aliens. Everyone's alive, but Crusher discovers some unique bloodstains which identify the perpetrators as members of the Acamarian race. Wow, bringing Crusher along really paid off for a change!
Reasoning that the attack was performed by the Gatherers, an exiled and nomadic offshoot of the Acamarians, the Enterprise crew head to Acamar to meet with their sovereign leader, Marouk. Once she's aboard, Picard convinces her to come with them to negotiate peace with the Gatherers and re-integrate them into society. She agrees to try, even though this doesn't really seem like any of his business.

Ah, Valentine’s Day- that special time of year when, if you’re in a relationship, everything seems just wonderful. If you’re not, you pretty much wish everyone around you would stop being so damn lovey-dovey and just grow up already.
The horror genre has seen its share of passionate lovers and soul mates over the years willing to fight it out to the end, whether they’re being chased by creatures, psychotic serial killers, Mother Nature or even as they struggling against internal forces that threaten those they love most in the world.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day this Friday, I decided to pay homage to some of my very favorite couples in the horror that demonstrate to the very fullest the idea, “til death do us part.” Check out the first part of my 14 Favorite Horror Couples countdown below and look for part two later this week right here on Daily Dead!

It seemed to be some sort of rule of thumb with the more iconic of horror baddies – the bigger you are then the harder and much more spectacularly you fall, usually amidst a climatic showcase of visual effects that have stretched the already limited budget of the film to near breaking point. I guess that's part of their enduring appeal. I mean, would Dracula really have been as unforgettable as he is if he was easily snuffed out by a simple baseball bat to the dome? Could you imagine watching a version of King Kong where the ape was simply put down like Old Yeller instead of being shot down from the top of the Empire State building? Some of these deaths have become as iconic as the villain themselves, complimenting the closing of the film with some final reel fireworks. Even a nameless henchman has a fighting chance for...
