Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that it will premiere the independent creature feature Scourge on DVD. Writer/director Jonas (Sasquatch) Quastel’s film will street February 24.
The titular evil is a parasitic entity that enters and takes over the bodies of a small town’s citizenry after it is released from within the local church. Only a troubled young man (Nic Rhind) and his ex-girlfriend (Robyn Ledoux) can stop the critter from taking over the entire populace; you can check out the movie’s trailer (with some pretty nifty creature and gore FX) below and its webpage at Phd Productions’ site here. As of now, no disc supplements have been announced for Scourge; the retail price is $26.98.
