Gisela Adisa

Gisela Adisa is an American actress born of Caribbean and West African immigrants. She recently made the leap to film and television work. She has been New York based since attending and graduating from Fordham University's Lincoln Center College of the Arts and has worked extensively in theatre ever since. Since switching her focus to film and television, she played Sandra opposite Michelle Monaghan and Morgan Spector in the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic award winner, 'Nanny', which premiered at Sundance '22 and also played the lead in the award winning indie film, 'Shield.'
Other projects of note include the heist hit, 'Kaleidoscope' with Paz Vega and Rufus Sewell and the Starz Network series, 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' with Patina Miller, under the direction of Mario Van Peebles. She voices the Tooth Fairy in Dreamworks' Animation TV series, 'Dew Drop Diaries' on Netflix.
This Broadway alum was nominated for Best Actress by the L.A. Alliance for her performance as Eartha Kitt with Dulé Hill as Nat 'King' Cole in Colman Domingo's 'Lights Out' at L.A.'s Geffen Playhouse. She originated a role in Diane Paulus' iteration of '1776,' which started off at the American Repertory Theater of Harvard before continuing on to Broadway. She then played the lead role of John Adams in the national tour of of said production, performing with rave review at several critically acclaimed theaters across the country, including the Ahmanson in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in D.C.
