- A photojournalist by profession. As a soldier, during his 2003 tour of Iraq, he documented his experiences in photographs. - In staying true to his photographer roots, following the January 15th 2009 crash of US Airways Flight 1549, into New York City's Hudson River, and despite his entire right arm in a cast following wrist surgery only a week before, Gluck managed to make photographs that appeared around the world as the Associated Press pool photographer for this event.
