Meghan McCain Shares Beef She Has With ‘Unpleasant’ Jennifer Lopez
It is no secret that Meghan McCain’s time on The View was not great. She tried to do her best and enjoy the experience but she struggled. In the end, she and Joy Behar clashed so much that she was ready to go. Meghan had gone on maternity leave and when she came back, Behar openly said she did not miss her. Though Meghan had tried to create fun banter about her absence and being missed, it fell flat. After four years,...

Conservative commentator Meghan McCain invoked a famous quote from the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain while criticizing her former co-hosts on The View.
McCain, daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, took aim at Sara Haines in a tweet Thursday. It came after a fan posted a clip of Haines referencing an unnamed past View personality who got “mad about Dr. Fauci” during a discussion about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s criticism of the former Covid-19 adviser.
In the clip, Haines and current View cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin reacted to Greene’s criticism of Fauci during a chat about decorum in domestic politics.
“It started, I remember, here, with someone here, getting so mad about Dr. Fauci. It felt like it happened overnight. We went from a pandemic…” Haines said, without explicitly using McCain’s name, later trailing off to address Behar’s apparent confusion over the reference,...

Meghan McCain called out her former co-hosts at The View after Sara Haines alluded to her during the “Hot Topics” segments.
The ABC morning talk show discussed Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene refusing to address Dr. Fauci by Doctor. Haines brought up the point that the villainization of Dr. Fauci had started on the show.
“It started, I remember, here, with someone here getting so mad about Dr. Fauci and it felt like it happened overnight,” Haines said on The View earlier this week.
One of the co-hosts asks, “Someone here?”
The clip of the show was shared on social media, and McCain happened to come across it and reshared it, adding, “This is hilarious.”
“Imagine still being shocked people didn’t want their kids masked, vaccinated with an untested vaccine or to have our families isolated in one state while other states were open for no other reason than politics.

Sunny Hostin weighs in on former The View co-hosts who speak negatively about their experience on the show after they leave.
In a new interview, the former prosecutor shared her disappointment with former co-hosts who trash their time on the ABC morning show.
“I’m always surprised when people speak negatively about our show if I’m being honest,” Hostin told Us Weekly. “We’ve had 27 years, we’ve had, maybe 24 co-hosts, and you were part of a sisterhood, and it’s really special.”
Hostin said she still talks to Sherri Shepherd, Paula Faris, and Candace Cameron Bure, who recently appeared on the show and sent her wine from her vineyard.
“We are all close regardless of our personal views,” she added. “We leave all of that at the table. I’m always surprised when someone says, ‘I don’t like that person,’ because it’s never personal, and we go into it knowing that.

Meghan McCain Gives Final Thoughts On The View
In 2017, Meghan McCain took her official seat as a co-host on The View. This a talk show where all voices and opinions are welcomed. As a more conservative person, Meghan let her side be known and never held back. However, that could also be detrimental to her position in the group. One thing that Meghan always acknowledged was how lucky she was to have gotten the job. More so, she understood how many people would have killed for that position. The talent behind the upcoming musical The Ghost of John McCain should not save a front row seat at its premiere for the late senator’s daughter Meghan McCain, as the former cohost of The View and outspoken pundit took to Twitter this week to denounce the forthcoming off-Broadway show, slam its producers and wish it has no success whatsoever.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the show is slated for a fall premiere at New York’s Soho Playhouse. The self-described “serious and satirical musical” was written by Scott Elmegreen with music and lyrics by Drew Fornarola, and its producers include political strategist Jason Rose and Max Fose, a former McCain campaign consultant.
“This is trash,” McCain wrote of the musical, adding that it’s, “Nothing more than a gross cash grab by mediocre desperate people…I hope it bombs.”

Hart appeared in Nickelodeon’s Clarissa Explains It All in 1991. She said that she had no horror stories about her experiences at the network.

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s eighth episode, reigning champion and Mother of season 15 Sasha Colby makes her recap debut to break down this season’s “Snatch Game” performances. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Sasha and Trixie have fun addressing the “unsolicited shade” of this season and how even when Plane Jane calls anyone “sister” feels like subtle shade as well. Sasha gives Jane some defense by admitting that as drag queens they all “just have a crippling desire for people to love us” and Jane is no different. When it came to the reading challenge of her season, Sasha was impressed by Loosey Laduca and Malaysia Babydoll Foxx; this season the standouts for her were Jane and Xunami Muse.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 continued on February 23 with episode 8 on MTV. Political commentator Meghan McCain let loose on Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a conversation with her longtime friend and analyst Laurye Blackford, McCain discussed the Golden Globes and revealed that a friend had sent her videos of Harris’ “gaffes” to provide some entertainment. McCain specifically highlighted Harris’ 2022 speech about the passage of time, “She sounds like stoner, like a 19-year-old stoner in college who’s high at 3 a.m. She makes me so uncomfortable,” McCain said on her podcast. “I don’t like watching her. McCain didn’t stop there. She went on to describe Harris as “really unserious” and issued a warning to her listeners that she was about to make a controversial statement about the vice president.

I don’t like listening to her.”

Update with Meghan McCain statement: Meghan McCain says her family has not authorized a new, planned musical inspired by – and named after – her late father.
But considering that the in-development musical features fictionalized characters based on public figures, John McCain included, it’s unlikely producers need any such authorization. Deadline has reached out to a show spokesperson for comment.
In an exclusive statement to The Messenger, McCain said, “My family has not authorized it nor was aware of it. I was as surprised as everyone else to see the announcement.”
This morning, producers Quixote Productions and Max Fose announced an invitation-only industry reading later this week in New York of what they call a “provocative and zeitgeisty” new musical titled The Ghost of John McCain. The musical features a book by Scott Elmegreen and score by Drew Fornarola.

Meghan McCain spoke out once again about the long-running daytime talk show, The View on the podcast, You’re Welcome, hosted by Michael Malice.
Malice, a Ukrainian author and anarchist, uses the podcast to “bring his unique perspective – and plenty of sick burns – as he discusses everything from… politics to culture,” according to the Spotify description.
McCain, a journalist, and daughter of John McCain, was a cohost on The View from 2017-2021.
She left after she had an on-air clash with cohost Joy Behar, which stemmed from Behar’s comments about not missing McCain while she was on maternity leave. McCain, who had recently given birth to her daughter, Liberty, as well as dealing with her father’s death at the time, thought it best for her and her family if she quit the show.

Meghan McCain is giving her thoughts on The View and is not mincing her words about the show and her former co-hosts.
A new interview with the political commentator dropped that was seemingly recorded the day that Ana Navarro alluded to former co-hosts using their last names, like Hunter Biden, to gain relevancy. Although Navarro didn’t specifically call out McCain, the former ABC daytime talk show co-host believed she was being referenced.
“I can’t go like a week without something being said about me on the show,” McCain said on the Dec. 27 episode of the Your Welcome with Michael Malice podcast. “The thing about The View is that I didn’t know when I signed my contract with ABC that this is forever. Meghan McCain is taking shots at her former The View co-host Ana Navarro while defending herself from suggestions she uses her famous last name to gain influence.
On the most recent episode of her podcast Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat, the political commentator and the daughter of the late Senator John McCain flipped the table and claimed Navarro was the one banking on the McCain last name.
“I have a long history with Ana Navarro because she was dating a funder of my dad’s campaign and then joined the campaign, I guess. I have no memory of her ever working on my dad’s campaign, but she claims to,” McCain said of her history with Navarro. “No one has trafficked on the McCain last name and legacy more than Ana Navarro. Meghan McCain is taking aim at her former The View co-hosts.
The 39-year-old TV personality, who was part of the daytime talk show’s panel from 2017 to 2021, took exception to comments made by co-host Ana Navarro during a segment about Hunter Biden‘s legal troubles.
“Joe Biden’s crime is being Hunter Biden’s father,” Ana said. “Look, did Hunter Biden influence peddle on his last name? Yes, he did. So did half of Washington — people sitting at this table did it.”
Although Ana didn’t mention her by name, Meghan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday (December 14) to respond to the remarks.

Meghan McCain is most definitely not amused by a not-so-cryptic suggestion made today by The View co-host Ana Navarro that an (unnamed) former co-host used her famous last name for influence – and the daughter of the late Senator John McCain says she’ll be consulting her lawyers.
Navarro’s comment came during a Hot Topics discussion about Hunter Biden. “Joe Biden’s crime is being Hunter Biden’s father,” Navarro said. “Look, did Hunter Biden influence peddle on his last name? Yes, he did. So did half of Washington — people sitting at this table did it.”
When the other co-hosts expressed shock, Navarro said, “I’m not talking about currently.”
The comment prompted laughter and a loud response from the other co-hosts. “We just wanted to clear our names!” said Alyssa Farah Griffin, while Sara Haines said, “I was like, ‘Oh my God, do I have a claim to fame that I’m not using?...

Political commentator Meghan McCain has opened up about a heated situation with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson following the death of her father, Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), in 2018.
On a new episode of her Meghan McCain Has Entered The Chat podcast, McCain accused Carlson of getting angry with her for criticizing political consultant Roger Stone after he tweeted that her father would “burn in hell for all eternity” in 2017.
McCain then responded to Stone via Twitter, now X.
“I tweeted something like, ‘Burn in hell’ or ‘Go to hell, Roger Stone,’ and I felt good about it, and I stand by that tweet,” McCain explained.
Shortly after, McCain was at a party in London and received a text from Carlson, which she paraphrased during the podcast episode.
“[He said], ‘What you said about Roger Stone is so gross and so disgusting, he’s a good man,’ or something like that,” she said.

Meghan McCain was the conservative voice on The View for four seasons, leaving the ABC talk show following Season 24. Following her exit in 2021, the former co-host says she doesn’t watch the show “at all.”

Meghan McCain is so done with TV.
After four years on “The View,” the political lightning rod needed a breather.
“This is so superficial,” McCain says when asked why she does not miss being on television every day. “My hair and skin were so thrashed because I wore hair extensions, and bleached my hair and had to wear full camera face makeup every day. Just the idea of having to get my hair wrecked and my face wrecked again is reason enough for me not to miss television.”
With a laugh, she exudes a sense of calm: “My hair looks so good now. My skin looks so good.”
“And,” McCain adds, “I don’t always know that everything needs my opinion.”
What McCain does miss, however, is talking about the news. And so, she’s launching her own podcast and production company.

Hollywood stars are showing their support for Israel, after Hamas launched a surprise attack this past weekend, firing thousands of rockets from Gaza that have killed at least 900 people with more than 100 civilians kidnapped and held hostage.

Another season of The View is officially in the books. The Season 26 finale on Friday, August 4 capped a year of relative stability for the daytime talk show, which struggled to find its footing after the 2020 election and the departure of longtime conservative co-host Meghan McCain. Over the course of this season, McCain's replacement, Alyssa Farah Griffin, developed an easy rapport with the other ladies, and her presence brought an air of calmness to a show that's long been defined by on- and off-screen conflicts. Not to mention, The View's return to normalcy served as a fitting tribute to the show's creator Barbara Walters, who died on December 30, 2022 at the age of 93.

Past seasons also have seen a number of changes to the regular lineup.

“The View” will welcome back all of its co-hosts next season, keeping moderator Whoopi Goldberg at the table alongside fellow returnees Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro for Season 27, Variety has learned exclusively.
The co-hosts’ return for another season comes as “The View” ended the 2022-2023 TV season on a high note, ranking No. 1 among all daytime talk shows among both households and total viewers.
“The View” averaged 2.375 million total viewers for the season, per Nielsen. That topped all other network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs, including the syndicated “Live With Kelly and Mark,” which in its first year with Mark Consuelos as Kelly Ripa’s cohost ranked in second place in daytime, averaging 2.293 million total viewers.
The third hour of NBC’s “Today” (2.054 million total viewers) came in third place and the final season of syndicated “Dr. Phil” was fourth,...

As Donald Trump’s indictment collides with his candidacy for the 2024 election, Nancy Pelosi said the former President is “very seriously damaged goods.”
“Here’s a president who has been twice impeached, multi-times indicted, we don’t know how many it will be, defeated once — I think he’s very seriously damaged goods,” Pelosi told MSNBC anchor Jen Psaki on Sunday’s “Inside With Jen Psaki.” “We have to do everything to make sure that a person so frivolous with our democracy, so jeopardizing of our national security, so disrespectful of our rule of law, would [never] be president of the United States once again.”
Despite the growing pile of evidence against Trump, the Speaker Emerita also noted her hesitancy to say there’s no way he could win again since she “never thought he could win the first time.”

Meghan McCain is no fan of the “Sex in the City” spin-off series “And Just Like That”.
In a new column for the Daily Mail, the former “View” alum indulged in her scathing review of the HBO series, which she labels as “woke slop.”
McCain, 38, began the article with praise for the original series’ transgressive and game-changing plotlines and themes around taboo topics in America upon its premiere in 1998.

The first season of “And Just Like That” premiered in December 2021, which McCain was no fan of, stating that “the new show was all about labels; trans, cis, white, black.”
The cherry on top of McCain’s desire to give the series a shot was the return of the iconic Kim Cattrall, who plays the fan favourite and saucy seductress Samantha Jones, although it’s reportedly a tiny cameo.

While it’s hard to imagine anyone but Cynthia Nixon playing Miranda and Sarah Jessica Parker playing Carrie on HBO’s classic comedy “Sex and the City,” Nixon revealed in a new podcast Thursday that she first auditioned to play the role of Carrie on the series — and bombed. Thankfully, producers asked her back to audition for the uptight but well-meaning lawyer Miranda, and just like that… the rest is history.
Sitting for a special “Sex and the City” 25th anniversary episode of “And Just Like That… The Writers Room” podcast — along with costars Parker and Kristin Davis — Emmy winner Nixon recalled how after bombing as Carrie, she pushed to be seen for another role.
