Django Steenbakker was eliminated from “Project Runway All Stars” last week after landing in the judges’ bottom three for several challenges. But now that he’s gone, who’s next? Of the eight remaining competitors there are only two left who have yet to win a design challenge. One of them has never gotten a low score (Evan Biddell), while the other has never gotten a high score (Cynthia Hayashi). Perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s the low-scorer we’re expecting to exit the competition tonight.
Hayashi hasn’t really had a disastrous run this season on “All Stars.” Out of the first seven challenges, she only got low scores twice: in the season premiere episode, and then in “Of Corsets Fashion.” But every other week she has simply been declared safe, and seven challenges is a long way to go without being singled out for judges’ praise even once. So most...

Anya Ayoung-Chee warned us in the season premiere of ‘Project Runway All Stars” that sewing wasn’t her strong suit. She was almost eliminated from the show on that very first challenge. But then she seemed to get along just fine, earning safe scores from the judges every week thereafter … until now. In episode six, “Pedal to the Metal,” the rubber finally met the road and she couldn’t drape her way out of it, even with ample assistance from her fellow designers. Did she really deserve to go? Scroll down to vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.
Ayoung-Chee’s strength was in flowing looks, so she knew she was in trouble as soon as the challenge was announced: to create a red carpet look with metallic fabric. The problem was that a metallic fabric wouldn’t work with her usual aesthetic, so it exposed her biggest weakness as a designer.

A metal-themed challenge on Wednesday’s episode of Project Runway All Stars took one designer a little too far out of her element. The remaining 10 contestants were instructed to create an “elegant red carpet carpet look using metallics,” one that also includes a “unique texture.”
For the most part, the designers seemed pretty confident going into this challenge — perhaps too confident. Michelle Lesniak, who prides herself on her work with metallics, was the first to brag, declaring this the “sparkle dazzle challenge.” Irina Shabayeva, meanwhile, gave us a full rundown of the stars she’s dressed on red carpets: Carrie Underwood,...

The “Project Runway All Stars” contestants put the “Pedal to the Metal” in episode six. The 10 remaining designers used metallic fabrics and unique textures to create red carpet looks that they hoped would please the guest judges: talk show host Wendy Williams, Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge and race car driver Danica Patrick. So who drove the judges wild, and who had their fashion license revoked? Scroll down for our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.

Django Steenbakker, Cynthia Hayashi and Anya Ayoung-Chee are the only contestants left on “Project Runway All Stars” this season who haven’t gotten a single high score from the judges yet. So it comes as little surprise that they’re the three designers our users think are most likely to get the boot tonight in episode six, “Pedal to the Metal.” Will they reform their low-scoring ways, or will one of them finally be sent home?
Steenbakker gets leading odds of 46/25 of being sent home. We thought the Netherlander would be eliminated last week too, and I was a little surprised he wasn’t. His interpretation of a lion for the “On the Prowl” challenge was an ill-fitting mint green number the judges couldn’t make heads or tails of. The “Project Runway All Stars” contestants this season designed looks inspired by national heritage, corsets and even airplane parts, but in episode five the show went to the dogs — or maybe the zebras, the elephants, or the gorillas. In “On the Prowl,” the remaining 11 competitors took their inspiration from zoo animals. So who won the challenge, and who went on the endangered species list? Scroll down for our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
The international contestants got off to a slow start in this all-champions edition that pits winners of the American “Runway” against winners of the show’s foreign spin-offs. In the first four weeks of competition, three challenges were won by American champs: Dmitri Sholokhov in “All Stars Goes Global,” Anthony Ryan Auld in “Top of the Class” and Irina Shabayeva in “Buckle Up!” And two of the first three eliminations were contestants from abroad.

It’s corsets, of course! One week after the “Project Runway All Stars” season seven contestants tackled their unconventional materials challenge in “Buckle Up!” they got another unconventional challenge of sorts. In “Of Corsets Fashion” the 12 remaining designers turned underwear into outwear by making runway looks out of corsets. Who cinched up a win, and who wore out their welcome? Last week’s “Buckle Up” challenge ended in the surprising elimination of Seth Aaron Henderson in 13th place. Every “All Stars” contestant this season is a past winner, but Henderson was undefeated, winning both of the seasons he previously competed in. The fact that he could be ejected so soon means no one is safe in this competition.

It’s tough to predict eliminations this early on “Project Runway All Stars.” Every contestant this season is a past champion, and for every design challenge the slate is wiped clean, so one week’s low scorer could be next week’s challenge winner. And one week’s high scorer could be next week’s eliminated contestant. In fact, that’s exactly what has happened for the last two weeks of the competition. But this week the consensus of Gold Derby users who have entered their forecasts in our predictions center is that Cynthia Hayashi is in trouble. Do you agree?
Hayashi won season one of Brazil’s version of “Project Runway,” called “Projeto Fashion.” But she had a low score right out of the gate in the season premiere of “All Stars” — not a great first impression. However, she was safe in weeks two and three, so for the...

Week two of “Project Runway All Stars” showed just how tumultuous this champions season can be. Anthony Ryan Auld won the “Top of the Class” design challenge after nearly being eliminated in the season premiere. And Irina Shabayeva was nearly sent home after a high score on night one. So who will be out in week three? Our users are betting on Anya Ayoung-Chee again, but Michelle Lesniak may also be at risk.
“Runway” season nine champion Ayoung-Chee disappointed the judges in the first challenge with a look that was far too safe for their tastes, but she redeemed herself in “Class” with a graduation party design that put her safely through to round three. However, she didn’t get a high score in the challenge, so she still hasn’t stood out to judges this season as a contender. Maybe that’s why most of our users still think she’ll get the boot.

It was the worst of times, it was the best of times for “Project Runway All Stars” contestant Anthony Ryan Auld. In the season seven premiere he struggled with the recent loss of his grandmother and produced a slapdash look that nearly got him eliminated right out of the gate. But he made an epic comeback in the second week of competition. What did you think of his performance in “Top of the Class“? Was it grade-a for you like it was for the judges?
Luckily for Auld there was no elimination in the season premiere, so while he and Anya Ayoung-Chee finished as the bottom two, they both lived to design another day. But the second challenge got off to a rough start for Auld too. The contestants were tasked with creating a graduation party look in two colors. The designers didn’t get to choose their colors, though.

“Project Runway All Stars” started its seventh and final season on Lifetime last week, and it was a rare reality competition episode that ended with more contestants than it started with. What surprise twists were in store for the contestants in week two? Scroll down for our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.

“Project Runway All Stars” season seven consists only of past champions of “Runway” shows in the Us and abroad, so it’s inevitable that the first elimination would be an shocking experience for the unlucky designer who endures it. That’s the fate we’re anticipating for Anya Ayoung-Chee, who will the first contestant sent home from the show according to the combined predictions of Gold Derby users.
Ayoung-Chee previously competed in season nine of the original “Runway” series, where she won four challenges, received high scores in another four challenges, and got a low score only once on her way to winning the whole thing. But in the season premiere of this “Champions” edition of “All Stars” she had her worst result yet. She finished in the bottom two for the first time in her entire history on the show.

If it were up to us, "Project Runway" would never be "out," it would just play on a loop 24/7/365.
Sadly, Season 14 will say auf wiedersehen on Thursday, November 5th, so now seems like a good time to take stock and rank the previous 13 seasons, with the expectation that the 2015 season will probably fall somewhere in the middle of the pack once it's done. (Tim Gunn "hated" Season 14, but there have been worse.) Every season of PR is a precious, unique little rhinestone, but, like the judges, we have our favorites -- and now it's Our turn to be biased.
So here's our very subjective but still definitive worst-to-best ranking, which may only be challenged by a glare from Nina Garcia, an eye roll from Michael Kors, a "make it work" from Tim Gunn, or an "out" from Heidi Klum.

Nobody but Tim Gunn can make a phrase like “Make It Work” stick in the pop culture lexicon. In many ways, that’s exactly what he’s done his entire career, from his influential work from 1982-2007 as Associate Dean and, later, Chair at Parsons: The New School Of Design to the show that made him a household name (and earned him an Emmy!), Project Runway.
Gunn has a brand new entry for his resume, headlining competition series Under The Gunn, which premieres tonight on Lifetime. Gunn watches over former PR contestants Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos as they mentor designers in teams that will compete against each other until the contestants are whittled down to one winning designer.
Gunn was present last week at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour and sat down with TheBacklot to talk about how much he had to mentor the mentors (a lot!

Everyone knows the No. 1 reason to tune in to "Project Runway" is to see mentor Tim Gunn scare the crap out of the contestants and force them to do their best design work every week. Now, the fairy godfather of fashion competitions is getting his very own show on Lifetime. It's about time!
"Under the Gunn," premiering Jan. 16, 2014 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt, is a new twist on the fashion design competition that could essentially be described as "Project Runway: Phase 2." Gunn hosts a competition between "PR" alums Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee, and Nick Verreos as they mentor and manage their own groups of designers -- basically, they're competing to be the new Tim Gunn.
The judges are designer Rachel Roy, stylist Jen Rade, and Marie Claire senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi.

Lifetime is further expanding the Project Runway franchise with Under The Gunn, a 13-episode new fashion series starring Project Runway co-host Tim Gunn, produced by Runway‘s Bunim/Murray and The Weinstein Co. and featuring Runway alumni. As for Gunn, who just won an Emmy with Runway co-host Heidi Klum, the new show, which premieres on January 16, does not mean a departure from the mothership series, on which he will carry on with his duties. This marks the third Project Runway offshoot on Lifetime, including Project Runway All Stars, now in its third season, and Project Accessory, which ran for one cycle. On Under The Gunn, Runway alumni Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos will be tasked with mentoring and managing a fashion empire with 15 new up-and-coming designers under their watch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC Family is looking to turn The Hand that Rocks the Cradle into a series. While it makes sense the network whose biggest hit is Pretty Little Liars would be looking for antoher campy thriller, I can’t figure out how such a series lasts more than a season.
Peter Facinelli will star in a mini-series for Fox, Street Soldier, about a man who was an enforcer in mobster Whitey Bulger‘s gang.
Earlier in the day, Comedy Central announced that it ordered another season of Brickleberry, tempting me to crack that Comedy Central was now wearing the name ironically. Then it also renewed Key & Peele and Drunk History, and I trust its idea of comedy once more.

Melissa King, the reigning Miss Delaware Teen USA, has resigned her crown after denying she is featured in an online pornographic video.
Before her resignation, King told Delaware Online that comments on a porn website identifying her as the star of the sex tape are not to be believed. "There are comments saying this, however, it's not comments that are true," says King.
In a clip from the sex video seen below, a woman who looks very much like the pageant winner says she turned 18 "about three months ago -- March." She also says "I like being on top." Delaware Online points out that King's birthday is in March.
The woman in the video also confirms she has done beauty pageants. As to why she decided to make a porno, the alleged lookalike says, "I thought it'd be fun and it sounded like I needed the money. So I just decided to do it.

Michael Costello, designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant, gives us a hilarious run down from episode three -- which was definitely a blast from the past! This week on Project Runway the designers had their first red carpet challenge. The designers who were paired into teams and groups of two, were given $300 and one day for this challenge. Those weren’t the only obstacles though! The designers were suddenly told they would be picking up their clients in a fancy Lexus somewhere in NYC. There is a lot riding on this challenge because the winner of this challenge and their client will be going to the Emmys! How exciting? I'm instantly hoping its not Andrea Katz or Gunnar! First up, we see Project Runway winner Season 9 winner Anya Ayoung-Chee looking fabulous. She is paired with designers Chris Palu and Andrea Katz. I have no fear in Christopher nailing this challenge but that Andrea lady scares me.

Spoiler Alert! Click below if you want to hear from not only the winner of this season of Project Runway, but the official “fan favorite”:
Throughout this season of Project Runway, Anya Ayoung-Chee has had to deal with quite a bit of scrutiny, both from viewers and her fellow designers. When she auditioned for the show, she admitted to the judges that she’d only been sewing for four months. Relying on her taste level and resourcefulness to make up for her lack of construction skills, she still managed to impress the judges and pull out the win on last night’s finale.

Throughout the competition, the designer inspired viewers with her can-do attitude. She decided to pursue her fashion dreams after the tragic death of her brother Pilar. Although she had some local success in the Caribbean for her designs, she took the next step and learned to sew four months before applying for and being cast on Project Runway.

After last season’s pick of Gretchen as a winner — she who made smallpox chic again! — we were sort of “over” Project Runway. For like a day. Last night was the Season Finale of Project Runway, and as soon as it was over, I couldn't help but take to Twitter to squawk.
I'm going to try to refrain, but I'm not making any promises.
Let's face it ... this season stunk.
Well, there were a few bright spots.
We got to know the extremely likable and charismatic Anthony, as well as the alien cipher Olivier. Bert had an interesting backstory, and on every episode we learned that Josh's mother died.
What else? Umm ... Oh, remember that time Kim got scared of the roach and jumped on the table? That was pretty funny ...
Okay, I admit it. I'm stalling so I don't have to talk about what happened on the finale. But we may as well get it over with.
So the four finalists hit Fashion Week, and showed their designs. So how did each one fare? Let's find out.

The season finale of "Project Runway" offered a lot less behind-the-scenes drama than we've become accustomed to. But really Thursday's (Oct. 27) episode was all about the clothes and who would win the grand prize.
The four contestants - Anya, Kimberly, Joshua and Viktor - scrambled to get their pieces together for Fashion Week. This presented quite the challenge. Coming out of last week, each designer had an opportunity to reassess what they're doing and incorporate feedback from each of the judges. Luckily they had a shopping spree at fabric store and $500 to spend.
As the deadline drew near, Tim Gunn met with the finalists and began perusing their collections. It was at this time that Gunn offered the harshest criticism to Joshua for over thinking what he was doing.
"The critique with Tim has had my mind spinning for hours," Joshua says.
Anya was working up until the last second.

Beauty queen Anya Ayoung-Chee can add another title to her list of accomplishments. The former Miss Trinidad and Tobago was named the winner of "Project Runway" Season 9, beating out finalists Joshua McKinley , Viktor Luna , and Kimberly Goldson . Anya came into the competition with the a great eye but one huge disadvantage: she only had been sewing for four months. She proved to be a resourceful competitor challenge after challenge. Her most impressive win (aside from Thursday night's) came midseason, when she lost her fabric money and had to use change and leftover scraps to pull together a '70s-inspired look. Anya's final collection was Caribbean chic, flowly and feminine (see her winning collection above). Judges Heidi Klum , Michael Kors , Nina Garcia , and L'Wren Scott praised her eye for beautiful prints but said it was one-note (as we had correctly predicted ). Despite this, the judges admired her consistent point of view...

Click on the "Launch Gallery" button to see all four finalist's collections and see who we predict will be the big winner ... then tell toofab if you agree with our picks! Viktor Luna All season long, Viktor has been flying under the radar. His productivity has unmatched -- often producing multiple pieces when others designers struggled to complete just one look. His final collection may lack the colors of his competitors, but is still bold. His mirror image prints (inspired from Mexico) create a gorgeous Rosarch effect. His attention to detail -- exemplified in his zipper leather skirt and pearl jacket -- is unmatched. Prediction: Winner Anya Ayoung-Chee It's no surprise that the Trinidad and Tobago native Anya went with a print-heavy resort wear line.
