On February 10, 2007, Julie fought Gina Carano in the first ever televised female fight on Showtime. She lost but the fight was awarded "Fight of the Night" and is considered a ground breaking and historic moment for females in MMA.
She was the 2005 and 2006 Women's Hook N Shoot Women's Grand Prix Champion.
She was the Extreme Grappling Open Champion.
She was the World Kickboxing Association National Champion.
In 2011 she became the Jackson's MMA Series Women's Bantamweight Champion.
Became the first female MMA fighter to be sponsored by the clothing company Tapout.
After fighting in Russia she was invited to the Presidential Palace where she had high tea with Vladimir Putin and Fedor Emilanenko. Kedzie was surprised by Emilanenko's friendliness since she had just beaten his teammate in the fight.
Kedzie enjoys writing and reading. Her favorite authors are Ernest Hemmingway, Mark Twain, Getrude Stein, Robert B. Parker, Dorothy Parker, and Elizabeth Peters.
Kedzie is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild and has worked as a stunt-woman in television and film. Among her credits are : A&E's Longmire (2012), CBS's "Vegas" (2012-2013), 50 to 1 (2014) and Transcendence (2014).
