comScore revealed the official box-office numbers for the past weekend with the number one film going to 20th Century Fox's and director Tim Miller's "Deadpool" starring Ryan Reynolds. The rated-r Marvel film grossed an impressive $260 million worldwide. The film also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand.
Two Chinese releases took second and third place internationally which included "Mei Ren Yu" (The Mermaid) with $109 million followed by "The Monkey King 2" with $38 million.
At the Us box office, "Deadpool" was the number one film domestically with an astounding $135 million. Last weeks number one film, 20th Century Fox's "Kung Fu Panda 3", took second place with $19.6 million. Warner Bros. Pictures "How To Be Single" debuted in third place with $18.8 million.

The X Factor celebrated the best of British last night (November 16) as the remaining hopefuls took on songs by the likes of Adele, The Rolling Stones and Coldplay.
However, tonight one act must leave the competition. By the end of this evening's show we will be left with the final six contestants as we hurtle ever closer to this year's grand final.

"Precious" and "The Butler" director Lee Daniels is reportedly circling a telemovie biopic about Sammy Davis Jr. at HBO.
The story will be a interesting one - from the entertainer's early career and Rat Pack days to his controversial marriage to May Britt.
One issue is that of rights as there's a lot of legal issues about who owns what, and which books are optioned.
Tommy Davidson ("In Living Color") was previously linked to play Davis Jr., but reportedly that isn't going to happen now.

Having confirmed a week ago that Jamie Foxx was in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz in Quentin Tarantino‘s “neo-western” (whatever that means), Django Unchained, it looks like the Ray Oscar-winner might now be the front-runner for the title role of the ex-slave-turned-bounty hunter.
The Playlist delves into reports from Showbiz 411 which claim that Will Smith is looking less and less like the Tarantino’s man and that Foxx is edging closer to taking the role.
