Christian Ackerman seems to be something of a renaissance man, his resume boasting production assistant work, acting, animation, and directing (he is also apparently a mime, and break dancer, according to his bio). His latest is Terror Vortex, currently filming, and starring Jesse Head, Ackerman himself, Danielle Ackerman, and Tyler Wittenberg.
Synopsis (courtesy Terror Vortex Facebook page):
“A mind bending psychological thriller Horror about a man chasing down a serial killer in through the streets of New York. He’s abducted his wife, he needs to find her, and he finds something more horrific.”
Below are some stills and a teaser poster image. A release date has yet to be announced.

We have some cool exclusives sent over, this time from the upcoming release of Wisconsin Project X from Brain Damage Films. Check out the stills and the clip below. I've watched this crazy, grindhouse feeling horror flick from Christian Ackerman who also stars along with Jesse Head, Joel Baird, Danielle Ackerman, Tyler Wittenberg, Scott Ranf, April Depee, David Mobley, Jack Kolberg, and Meredith Huls. It's fast paced and has some really cool effects in it, this is grindhouse horror!
Filmed with absolutely no budget and achieved with the help of friends and family, the movie is what Ackerman describes as an “Old School Horror Monster Movie”, filled with a “dry sense of humor” — and mutant “zombies”! This movie was made with duct tape, spray paint, and cardboard. Filmed entirely on a Digital 8 Camcorder and edited to perfection.
Accidentally, Dr. Winston creates artificial humanoid organisms. These manmade creatures break free from...

One indie film we've had our eyes on for a while is finally getting ready to make its home video debut, and we've got the goods on what to expect when Wisconsin Project X makes its way to your house.
The film, directed by Christian Ackerman and starring Christian Ackerman, Jesse Head, Joel Baird, Danielle Ackerman, Tyler Wittenberg, Scott Ranf, April Depee, David Mobley, Jack Kolberg, and Meredith Huls, looks, well ... amusing to say the least. Dig on the clip below and you'll see what we mean.
Look for the flick in stores on July 5th rocking two audio commentaries, a behind-the-scenes documentary, deleted scenes, and more.
Synopsis
In the small town of Wisconsinville, Montana a scientist, Dr. Winston, works in a lab on a new experiment. While developing a new type of preservative for the snack cake industry, he creates an artificial living organism. Dr. Winston creates a humanoid from the formula.
