Toya Wright erupts at Wacka Flocka Flame’s brother Brandon Barnes on this week’s Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta — after he disrespects Lil’ Wayne Again. Brandon, the son of hip-hop manager Ms. Deb, already caused a ruckus this season when he threw shade at Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter over her dad. His initial comments set Reginae off after Brandon dissed Lil’ Wayne’s career and spoke about the hip-hop star’s comments regarding Black Lives Matter. Brandon’s cousin Ayana Fite later confronted Reginae over their altercation, with Ayana telling her: “Don’t be walking up on my cousin because, yeah, I’m gonna knock...read more...

Ayana Fite threatens Reginae Carter on tonight’s Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, telling her: “I’ll knock your ass out.” The row comes after Reginae’s altercation with Ayana’s cousin Brandon Barnes, a vocal coach and son of hip-hop manager Ms. Deb, on last week’s episode. It came after Brandon made reference to Lil’ Wayne needing help with his career, and his comments about Black Lives Matter — saying it had “nothing to do with” him — which some said belittled the movement. Reginae, Lil’ Wayne’s daughter, ended up having a full-blown confrontation with him, while Ayana, daughter of The Beastie Boys’ DJ Hurricane,...read more...

The row escalates when Reginae shouts mockingly at Brandon: “Brandon, who have you worked with?” Brandon shouts back: “Somebody who could possibly have helped your father’s career.” The comment is a reference to Reginae’s dad Lil’ Wayne,...read more...

Shad Moss, formerly known as ‘Bow Wow,’ is facing criticism—all in good humor— after he was allegedly caught lying about traveling in a private jet. The rapper took to Instagram earlier this week to share a photo of private transportation for a press tour for his new show Growing Up Hip Hop.
“Travel day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Lets gooo. I promise to bring yall the hottest show Ever. May 25th on @wetv,” he captioned the post.
However, Moss was allegedly seen and caught on social media flying to New York on a commercial flight.

Rise Against has been around for over a decade, so you would think as fans we would know all the facades of the band. The endless talent of the American band has only lengthened our Rise Against quiz and not knowing all the answers has caused our punk rock love to further deepen. Summing up Rise Against’s musical biography will probably deplete the group’s successful career, but you Shockya readers should have a recap. Vocalist and guitarist Tim McIlrath, bassist Joe Principe, drummer Brandon Barnes and guitarist...
